Lets be clear here - if I had the money and the means I would have probably gone for a BMW or a Lexus. Reality bites - and I realise that I have one ZERO less in my budget. So whats the best option? Maruti 800!
The thing that's good about Maruti 800 apart from its price, improved looks, better fuel efficiency and improved seats is the large network of service centres. Being from a small town, I realised the importance of this facet. Although the car is fairly reliable, given the state of our roads, the congested traffic conditions and the summer heat, its not unimaginable that you encounter some problems. That's when you realise that within a span of 2-3 kms you'll find a mechanic who is well versed with the economy machine.
Overall, Maruti has helped middle class families achieve their life long ambition of owning a four wheeler. And it gives you a very fair deal for the price you pay
