We have few hundreds of PCs in our office. We procured around 50 Compaq deskpro pcs directly from Singapore @65,000 per pc (around a year ago). Man this is a rock solid pc. We have PCs from HCL-HP, HCL, Accell etc out of which Compaq stood at number one slot sharing with HP meteor.
I love this machine simply. It is powered with Intel 810 chipset, pentium III processor, 64MB ram (i upgraded to 256MB), on board multimedia etc. We got 17'' monitro and sleek keyboard 52X compaq CD ROM drive, 1.44'' FDD and 6GB HDD. So far nothing failed. I use this machine with Windows NT4.0 OS and high end CAD/CAM software packages installed on it. It never let me down.
The machine is quite modular and ergonomic that u can place it either horizontal or vertically. U can remove the machine and access the components within few seconds for better maintenance.
I recommend this PC for the people who want quality, rock solid performance with out having much show (masala). It is excellent business PC. I just love my PC.
