Matheran is a hillstation with a difference.Different in the sense that it is pollution free as no vehicle allowed there.It is a place where u can enjoy nature at its best.Ans it is place where you can reach fast without wasting your time in travelling and getting tired.

I must have visited matheran many times still am in love with it.I can go there at any time of the year but the best season is winter.For me as soon as I enter matheran I feel so relaxed and free of burden as if there is no tension or worry in my life.

Getting there is very easy.You can take a train till Neral and from there either go by mini train to matheran or by taxi till Dasturi and from there you clinb up till matheran or go on pony or in hand-driven rickshaw.There you will find wide variety of hotels to choose from to suit your budget which provides you with boarding and loadging.

There are many points to see in which Echo and Sunset are most popular.You can go for long walks and enjoy nature.Just taking a walk in the market is also enjoyable where u can shop for leather articles like shoes,purses.

All in all it is one of the best place to go if u want to relax and escape from our hectic life style.
