I just assembled a P4 and everything was going fine until I decided to buy a D-Link external modem!!! Since then I have got nothing but troubles... It’s slow to connect... when connected; I’m hardly able to stay online!! I have changed my OS thrice; from Windows XP to ME and now to Windows 98SE. I have installed new TCP/IP umpteen times but to no avail. I have changed three ISP’s... Pacific Internet, VSNL and MTNL. I face the same problem with each one of them!! So it can’t be the ISP or OS or anything but the Modem. It should be renamed De-Link.
