Beautiful Beaches,Lots of coconut trees,nice scenic beauty and back waters...After mentioning so many things...well its very easy to guess...Offcourse..It is Kerala I am going to review here.

Kerala, a small state in the southwest of India is beauty personified.It has the western ghats and major plantations like tea,coffee,rubber,cardamom and other yummy spices.Its midlands are made up of undulating hills and valleys. This is an area of intensive cultivation of cashew, coconut, arecanut, bananas and what not.

The coastal area is made up of deltas,beautiful backwaters and oh my god! those beaches...They are awesome.The backwaters form a specially attractive and economically valuable feature of Kerala. The biggest backwater is the Vembanad Lake.The others are Pamba,Manimala and Ashtamudi.

Deltas of rivers are interlinked to the back waters and provide excellent water transport.

History:-Before the independence this peaceful state was ruled by the British and some princely states.

Three states namely Travancore,Cochin and Malabar combined to form a single state called Kerala on the 1st of November 1956.

Kerala as an education centre: The Kerala University is famous for its value based education and attracts people from all over the world. And why not...Studying in a beautiful place is always a luxury.

Some famous other universities are also up here.The likes of Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam,Cochin University of Science and Technology in Cochin are well known.If you ever thought of peace along with good education then do check out Kerala.Well what more,this is the state which claims 100% literacy in the whole of India.

Culture Kerala is a place of rich culture. Probably the richest in South India. The Onam fest is a well known thing for everyone. Yeah,those boat races and those huge gatherings.Kathakali performance is the most well known dance form.Just imagine those hefty make-up and those eye-brows moving.Awesome dance this.Boasted only by Kerala.

Mohiniyattam a dance on par with Bharatnatyam is really famous for its movements and costumes.Other dances include Ottan Thullal, Krishnanattam,Koodiyattam and Chakiarkoothu.

Tourism Kerala defines the meaning of tourism in India. No wonder The NGC has named Kerala among the top 50 most visited tourist spots.Here are some which are a must visit:

Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary,Iddukki,Wayanad,Ernakulam(for back waters),Sabarimala,Neyyar Dam,Guruvayur(Piligrimage centre) and more so the hill station in Munnar. Kerala not only personifies just wonderful coast line but some lovely hill-stations.Some wonderful Dams and lovely fantasy parks for that urban experience are some you should really watch out for.
