Lousy Service. Review on ICICI Bank

As a share holder of ICICI, I have been receiving excellent service. Hence I decided to start a NRI account in my wife’s name in the Ernakulam branch of ICICI bank. I already have NRI accounts at Federal bank and Bank of Baroda and the service I get from there is really excellent.

After starting it took 2 weeks to get the ATM card. First experience so I thought that I don’t have to take it seriously. The next was an experience with a draft which had to be locally collected took two days OK not bad should not crib. Two weeks back I had to send some amount urgently to India. Send a telex transfer from an exchange under the management of Syndicate bank from Oman. The 2nd day I received the conformation from Syndicate Bank Ernakulam that the amount has been transferred. I informed my wife and a check was given to a party the next day. The check bounces for want of funds. My wife contacts the bank manager. Here she is informed that I have used the wrong exchange to send the money.

She informs him that we have been using the same exchange for the past seven years and the amount gets transferred to our accounts within 48 hours. Finally after 6 days the amount finally reaches her account. The hi-tech bank takes 6 days to credit a locally cleared check. I tried to find an address to send a complaint but could not find one any where on their site finally I send two complaints one to the NRI cell and another to an address which was given to my wife from the bank itself. Its been two weeks and I am yet to receive any response from the bank Would some one be kind enough to email me an address to file a complaint that really works.

Did any one of you get any such service from this hyped up bank
