Panchgani as it names suggest is surrounded by 5 hills.It is just 18 kms away from mahabaleshwar at an altitude of 1,334m it provides enchanting scenery with river krishna flowing on one side and coastal plains resting on the other.
Panchgani is best approached from Pune which is 120km away.You can also take a luxury bus service by MTDC from Mumbai.
There are many hotels to choose from like Ambassador Hotel,Mount View Hotel,Simla Hotel which are near bazaar and are cheap
There are many site to visit like Table Land,Sydney Point,Dhoom Dam and Mapro garden-dont forget to taste its fresh strawberry juice and strawberry icecream and take home mapro products.
The best season is during monsoon and winter
