Solid technology...usually... Review on Nokia 5165

This is not my first cell phone. Nor my second. I'd say, all said and done, over the last 3 years, I've gone through 7 (yeah, you read that right, SEVEN) cell phones. That's a long story, some of it moot, so I'll simply stick with the reasoning behind my purchase, and my thoughts. I had a Samsung, which got replaced with another, then another. I even switched brands because of all the problems I had. No help there, every 6 months or less I was buying a new handset (or trading for a ''warranty replacement''). I'm NOT that hard on phones, surprisingly. So I switched to a provider that had Nokias in their lineup. I tried a little number with a HUGE pricetag, and was NOT amused, so I switched to the cheapest of the bunch, after hearing that the 5165's are VERY reliable, solid phones. Is mine? Ummm...not so much, I'm sorry to say. I drop calls on a daily basis, my phone doesn't alert me to incoming calls reliably, even when I'm AT HOME (outside or in, doesn't matter), I've been told I ''live in the middle of two towers'', and my phone ''keeps getting the signal handed off between the two''...what kind of a crock is this? My friend had a 5160 for two years, had NO troubles (until this incident with a wall...), ''upgraded'' to a 65, and has ALL the troubles I do! I've been told now that I should take the phone in to a dealer that has techs, as they can ''flash'' my phone, since the upgrades, etc they send over the system doesn't always hit ALL the phones...In any case, I'm less than amused by the phone OR the service...
