Air conditioned town. Review on Lonavala

I have been to Lonavala in my college days. Then after there was a gap of long period untill we went with for family outing about 4 years back.

Yes it is a crowded place on the week ends specially in monsoon and winter. One has to book hotel in advance if you are with family and want to stay close to main street. There are several hotels slightly away from main street.

I visited recently Lonavala starting from March several times. One of my close friend bought week end home and myself and my wife went to see it. Then after I fell in love with Lonavala.

I have been there in April May and name the month and season to my friend's home which is behind Fariyaz and near mountain. I found it very cool even in May when Mumbai hot and humid. In the afternoon you do not even need a fan since wind keeps on blowing continuously. and on the top of it no pollution.

This is a ideal place for family/friends week end picnic. Expressway has brought it very close to Mumbai. Beware to book your hotel specially if you are with family and want to stay indecent place.
