Daman. Review on Daman

Daman is about 160 Km north of Mumbai.It can be reached by road-take the National Highway-8 from Mumbai where we will reach Vapi.Daman is 14 km from Vapi.By rail we can reach Vapi in 3.5 hrs from there we have to take a rickshaw or taxi to reach Daman.

I had gone there with 2 of my friends and stayed in Silver Sands Resort.It is a 3 star beach resort.It is quite cheap as the charges are Rs1890 for 2 nights-3 days for a couple.The check in -check out time is 12 noon as we cannot reach there before 12 noon so it is idle.It includes an AC room with breakfast,lunch and dinner with free drinks and barbeque bittings which were free during happy hours ie from 6pm-7pm but now only unlimited beer.What more can u expect in Rs500 per day I think it is value for your money.The food and the service is excellent.

There are many places to visit like Amusement Park,Mirasol Lake,Devka Beach,Jampore Beach,Daman Market(not worth seeing as nothing like a market),Silvassa and Khanvel.

You will see many liqour shops as it is tax free and get quite cheap.People generally go there because of that.That is the main attraction :)

Nothing much to see there except beaches.

All in all it is idle for honeymooners and going in large group.
