I have a Canon Prima Zoom85N with the date feature. The quality of photographs is extremely good. I took a number of photographs and found that I got extremely good pictures even in fading light. The zoom is in between 38-85mm and is good enough for a casual photographer. Infact at many places on the internet , it was suggested for budding photographers. The operation of the camera is very easy. There are various modes like auto-flash , eye reduction modes etc. To switch between these modes one needs to use a knob which is a bit cumbersome. This is the only bad feature of this camera but should not deter one from buying it. Loading of a film is pretty simple. There is the date feature also present but I do not use it as I do not like dates coming on photographs. it also comes with a warranty for a year( I guess as I had to never use it ) and also a handy instruction booklet. The added advantage is that the lens automatically gets covered when one shuts off the camera hence making it an all weather camera

All in all it is a recommended . I bought it for about 110 USD ( taxes inclusive) though it available for much cheaper rates now in US. I do not know its price in the Indian market but I would definitely recommend it.
