Well for me, it was a big decision to go for the Honda mainly because of the price being so high, and everybody recommending the Mitusubishi Lancer. I have now had my Honda for about a year. It is a good car, but when the AC is on at full speed, I find that I really have to press on the gas peddle to get some speed. Now I am not sure whether something is wrong with my car or with Honda City in general. I recently took it from Delhi to Shimla again going uphill with the A/c on was somewhat of a struggle. reminded me of my maruti days.
Otherwise under normal circumstances, it is indeed smooth and a pleasure to drive. My family loves the feel and expansive space available in the car. And I certainly do not regret the decision to buy the Honda CITY 1.5 EXi
