Love Tiger Air.Cheap flights, they are always good and I fly with them often. I have done the SIN-MAA return quite a bit and like them as well. The flight can be tedious with its big lot of screaming babies and difficult passengers, but the crew have always been great.


For everyone who is complaining about the airline. I mean, hello! It's a budget carrier.You pay for everything. It says so right on the website so you can't expect frills. Loved my last flight with them. Aizuddin Ahmad, if you're reading this.Great job on last night's flight!

We travelled by Tiger Air from Singapore to Hyderabad, the worst airline even though the ticket is expensive the services are pathetic. I was unwell had a bad cough and requested for a blanket the airhostess said there was no blanket she could provide me with and also they did not have a doctor on board nor any medicines I asked for truly shocking.


This was the first and last trip we decided to make on Tiger air we are frequent fliers and this was the worst experience abroad that we had. The air hostesses did not bother to cater to me though I was sick they were busy chit chatting on another seat though the flight was empty and they did not have much work, very rude staff no empathy towards the customer, I wonder what kind of training they are imparted with and whether empathy towards the customer is taught to them in customer service.

We Were Pleasantly Surprised

We travelled From Sydney to Melbourne return On 17 May and I must say that both myself and I were very pleasantly surprised. I used the Tigerair Online check-in and also printed our boarding passes. The site was available for check in 2-3 days prior to the flight, thus all we had to do was walk in through gates and board. In fact with less than 5 minutes to go we boarded plane with NO WAITING.


The aircraft in both trips were very clean and modern, it was the a320 Airbus model which we flew in. The site is relatively easy to use with no problems encountered. The only minor issue with myself was that the seat headrests were a little high so basically our field of vision was restricted.


The inflight announcements on both occasions were VERY GOOD, as we were approaching Melbourne the Captain had announced that due to Melbourne airport being upgraded we had to fly in a stacking position as we had to wait for the landing along with 5-6 other flights.


The airfares are very reasonable, the flight was very quiet and everybody was greeted with respect. As I had taken a flight with Qantas before I naturally was a little hesitant at first flying with Tiger air having read reviews earlier. I must admit I was very happy with the condition of their planes, the pricing and the ease of use in checking in ONLINE.I myself will be definitely try Tiger Airways again in the future and think that the negative reviews which made me nervous as I have a phobia about flying was completely unfounded.

Never travel by this airline as air hostesses are not trained well, no customer service, no etiquette. Very expensive and there is no doctor on board. They don't have blankets, that's like a joke!


Risky airline to travel on.


For everything Tiger Air charges money, that too it is exorbitant and for nothing. No value for money.


The least is they can train their air hostesses to smile, they are so rude and bitchy no smile on their faces you get scared to ask them for anything and they answer you back with a scowl.The staff at the airport don't give right instructions and are not at all courteous to customers.


I will never travel on Tiger Air again!

This is the worst airlines on the planet. I am travelling to malaysia as a tourist. I had a flight connection flight of tiger from hyderabad to singapore and singapore to kuala lumpur(KL). When I reached singapore I checked-in my baggage(usually there is no free baggage check in for this awesome airlines) to KL and when I reach the KL.i wondered I lost my baggage.What the hell.? Then I make a written complaint with my friend contact number to the tiger airways on the same day.


Finally I received my baggage on the next day. I am  in KL without my baggage. Very thanks to ur service. If u look for the saving money by selecting the cheap and worst airlines like this, they are gonna loot ur pocket on baggage. so its levelled.Better my suggestion not to select these airlines better travel on Malaysian airlines and have a comfortable journey with rich class service.

Worst Airline Ever On This Planet!

I lost my luggage with Tiger Airways FLIGHT RI 834 and TR 2816 on July 8-9 flying from Denpasar, Bali to Changi to Phnom Penh. I had the worst service ever in my lifetime, traveling with Tiger airway from the beginning of my trip. First, when we checked-in our luggage at Bali  airport counter, the staff lady at the counter DID NOT EVEN GIVE US A BAGGAGE TAG NUMBER. We somehow overlooked that and did not find out till we got to Changi to retrieve our baggage tag number.


Secondly, the staffs at Changi managed to find our baggage tag number in the system, we were so relieved because that convinced us that the bag was checked-in properly and it's been flown to our last destination Phnom Penh. Those staffs, however, reminded us of what to do IF WE LOST OUR BAGGAGE on our arrival at Phnom Penh. GUESS WHAT? WE DID LOSE OUR BAG on arrival at PHNOM PENH. CAN YOU IMAGINE, I HAD REPORTED THE DELAYED/LOST BAGGAGE AT THE LOST & FOUND AT PHNOM PENH AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED, AND I MYSELF MADE VARIOUS CALLS TO CHANGI AIRPORT LOST & FOUND TO FIND OUT WHERE OUR LUGGAGE IS.


We had to travel to Siem Reap the next day, and also made report at Siem Reap airport. Surprisingly, they were another couple that using the same Travel Agency with us LOST THEIR LUGGAGE TOO, using the same route, luckily managed to retrieve their luggage which was transferred to Siem Reap. My partner and I, finally back to our last destination which was Kuala Lumpur, and we did go to the TIGER AIRWAYS LOST & FOUND Counter at LCCT airport to report about it again, asking them to contact us as soon as possible if they managed to find out the status about the bag. GUESS WHAT AGAIN? I CALLED THEM AGAIN A WEEK LATER, THEY HAVE NO STATUS OF WHERE THE HELL IS OUR LUGGAGE! Now, it has been 3 weeks out, and within this three weeks, my partner and I have been making MULTIPLE CLAIMS to them, and...


SURPRISINGLY, WE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM! We did received an automated reply from them, that's all! We never heard any single words from them!!!! I even made multiple delayed/loss baggage reports to their customer portal, yet no news, nothing, zero response! I am thinking, it is very unprofessional of them to


1) did not give us the baggage tag number, 2) not knowing where our luggage at all, and their excuses were they cant check the status or location of our luggage in their system (we are talking about lost and found service here!!!), 3) ignoring multiple claim report that we have been making within this time frame. We are also surprised after this incident, that we are not the only one, based on the reviews on this flight company, there were many out there lost their luggage with tiger airways. Even when I was reporting my lost at the LCCT airport, there was another report was just made by customer flew from Jakarta-Changi-Phnom Penh.


I lost my luggage once using a budget flight in Canada, guess what, they found out where my luggage was in less than 24hr and managed to get the luggage back that was accidentally flown all the way to the east coast Canada (I was just flying within the west coast of Canada). I even received a magnificent service, when this budget flight company compensated our glitch by giving us $100 free voucher!


So, my point is I know how the process of losing a luggage like, and what the flight company should be doing!!!! This is very unacceptable! I have been so patient about all of this, and now i couldn't take it anymore since i have very valuable items in the luggage, my medicine, jewelry (containing metal products) and expensive clothes.


P.S: I need to hear from you tiger airways, and again this is very disappointing and worst service i've ever encountered for flying with tiger airways for the first time, and it will be our last for sure!

My worst experience with Tiger airways June 15 2013 as my friends had on Nov 2011 while travelling to Sunshine coast airport from Sydney.. Should have listened to their advice. Recently I traveled with my partner from Brisbane to Melbourne. I travel about 3-4 times in a year including both overseas and interstate.


Given it as a budget airline decided tried to save money. This was my first time travelling to tiger airways. Been to Brisbane airport just about 50 mins prior to departure and gate close at 45 mins prior to departure. I couldn't find the counter for tiger airways at all.


Initially I looked for those automatic self checking counter like every other airline has. I couldn't find it at all and tried to look for the counter then  and I couldn't find it. Decided to ask a volunteer she said it's at the back! My impression every other airline counter is in front  so that passenger can easily identify it and why tiger is hiding at the back  and then saw a small portable signpost standing on the hallway.


I lost probably 10 mins figuring it out. By the time I reach the counter and showed my ID and destination the receptionist said you need to be here 45 mins prior and you have been here after this time so you can't check it and I told her about trouble finding your counter and you don't have any self checking counter. She did not gave any buzz and we lost the flight, our time and the money.


We traveled then from virgin airline the same day. As I have already bought return ticket for both of us from Melbourne as well decided to fly back on tiger anyway as I have already spent it and there is no refund. We found sticking chewing gums patched on the seats and dirty seats never bothered to be looked at and clean which I even took a picture for proof.


I will post that in other websites where it is allowed. The experience with my 4 other friends and a child in 2011 were flights cancelled and they were put on hold for more than an hour on phone trying to figure out how to reach their destination and any other flights available and that was 11 pm at the time when they knew about it.


They ultimately had to travel to Brisbane, unfortunately and I had to change my schedule to receive them travelling all the way from Gympie.


We won't travel in Tiger airways anymore as they don't value their customer, never learnt after being grounded for good reasons, even if they partner with other airlines and I have stopped recommending my friends travelling and shared my experiences with them.

Booked ticket through tiger airways from Hong Kong to Singapore. Tigerairways denied me to issue boarding pass from Hong Kong. the reason the gave was that I do not have valid visa. I told them that I do not need visa since I have american residence. The staff was full of lies and very uncooperative.


Finally, one whole day was wasted, and I had to buy and fly using different airline next day. This was the worst experience so far in my life dealing with any airline company.


My piece of advice: Stay away from them,

It's a worst flying service from India to Singapore. I have got a stringent experience from Cochin to Singapore trip on Dec 2012. I have paid 23 dollar for 20 Kg baggage allowance and 9 dollar for seat and unfortunately I called tiger call center to change my current booking and they done as per my convenient day.


I was in trouble when I reached for check in  and the staff not allowed me to check my 18 Kg bag and they said no baggage allowance. The uneducated Tiger representatives who sat in call center to change my baggage allowance and seat  while I change date. It's quite mistreating and the pay and use system is very inconvenient  to us. I was not used toilet at aircraft because they may charge for that in dollar.


Airasia and silk air is far better to travel.

Tiger airways is one of the waste airline now as because they are simply collecting huge money for adding useless facilities .They never bother about loosing of baggage as well as valuable things. I  like fly with Silk air even we pay bit more than tiger air .


NEVER GO WITH TIGER AIRWAYS AS BECAUSE NO GUARANTEE OF OUR LUGGAGE.


ITS A CHEAP FLIGHT IN BOTH TERMS OF FARE AND SERVICE AND EVEN ATTITUDE OF INDIAN GROUND STAFF.


Staff must be  known  that passengers are paying for airline to travel, not free. Respected tiger management .Please allocate minimum quality staff at Trivandrum and cochin airports. I have  got a stringent experience from there few times

I'm writing this to tell the world not ever book with Tiger Airways! Choose AirAsia instead. This is an account of my terrible experience with Tiger Airways (Seair). As a gist, Tiger Airways' customer service is terribly poor and deleterious for passengers they strand. It's my first time travelling with this airline, and they have already given me a bad impression which has led me to never book with them again! Please be guided.


Worst airline I've ever had. They didn't email me about my cancelled flight from Bangkok-Philippines (August 18, 2012 10:10 AM). No compensation in any way. I waited within the day to receive their email but nothing. If my mom didn't call their customer service hotline, I wouldn't have been able to rebook my flight then. They rebooked me for a flight the next day at night (August 19, 2012 7:05 PM), so basically I had to stay for 2 more days. This certain incident caused me a lof of trouble:


(1) accommodation and food at my own expenses; (2) not being able to attend the company gathering on August 19, 1pm . If they don't have budget to accommodate their stranded passengers, the least thing they could and should have done was apologize. Tiger Airways (Seair) is terrible. If I had to choose between AirAsia and Tiger Airways, I would definitely go for AirAsia because of it's good customer service, convenient check in, and accommodating staff, way to ahead than this substandard airline. The hell with Tiger Airways. I knew later on about some of the shitty stuff my friends encountered with this same airline!! Mediocre!


Anything could have happened with me staying for 2 more unplanned days in Bangkok while compromising my job. Damn!

Tiger Airways tried to ruin my Wedding

Never fly on Tiger Airways if you have something important to attend, like for instance, your OWN WEDDING.


So I've flown Tiger many times in the past and never had a problem with them or their service, until the day we were scheduled to fly out from Singapore to Cebu, Philippines for my wedding. I checked the website to make sure the flight was still there before we left for the airport but when we got there our flight was nowhere to be found. In fact, it was cancelled without any warning. No one at the airport took responsibility or offered to help us despite the fact that we were stranded and going to possibly miss our wedding. Their ground crew was completely useless and the call center was useless as well so in the end we had to buy our ticket on another airline, Cebu Pacific.


To this day, Tiger has refused to acknowledge their mistake and has told me flat out that they will not compensate me at all for having to pay for a new plane ticket. This is in stark contrast to Cebu Pacific, who gave us great service, got us to our wedding in time, and helped us track down an important bag we had left behind at the airport. For the rest of my life when I talk about my wedding, I will always mention that Tiger Airways nearly ruined my wedding but Cebu Pacific saved it.

I had a great experience flying tiger airways from Singapore to Bangalore. The pilot was great in the aircraft I travelled. On time travel and no tampering with my luggage. Over all pretty satisfying. But the fare is definitely not as low as they quote! The timing of the flight is great ( singapore- bangalore) apart from the fact it is a non stop flight. Overall pretty satisfied.


I definitely recommend this for people travelling frequently from singapore to Bangalore or vice versa.Try it!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I cannot think of a good word to say about this airline, other than to say that they are a ´what not to do in business´ company.


I had my partner attempt a check in for me with my licence in hand 30 minutes before close off of check in. I had to take a rental car back to the off terminal rental company and the earliest I could get back was 5 mins after check in - this was at 07:00 hrs and rides are hard to get at that time of the day. Tiger declined this too, even though we were carry on baggage only. We were offered a fee of$85 per seat to change the flight to a later time, but it was$73 for a whole new ticket. what a rip off!


With this response I happily paid an additional$333 to get a jet star pair of seats and it meant that the supposed ´cheap flights´ ended up costing us more than double in the long run.


I would not feed these people or the company they worked for on dried sn0t, nor would I p1ss on them if they were on fire.


There are no cheap flights with this company, avoid them as they will soon crash and burn.

NEVER FLY TIGER AIR, NO EXCEPTIONS

I booked my flight from PER to MEL 2 months prior to flying and we received no communication via phone or email that our flight was cancelled. We arrived at the airport at midnight for a 1 am departure, which never happened. Tiger Air doesn't have 24 hour call centre hours so I woke up at 6am in which I CALLED THEM and found that they switched our flight to the next morning without telling us. After speeding through rush hour traffic we barely made it to get grief from the attendant at the counter for being late in checking our bags... yes they were upset with us!


Since we didn't get to Melbourne on our original flight we missed our connector with Virgin Blue and have yet to compensate us for the balance of the Virgin Blue flight, let alone the extra costs of the new flight booked, hotel, meals, petrol, etc. and it has been 4 weeks. Our non-refundable second tiger air flight back was also switched and the only way I knew that was because I CALLED THEM again to find out. They also damaged our bags by smashing them and tearing the side of my bag open. NEVER FLY TIGER AIR, spend the extra $100 and have no worries with QANTAS.

Worst airlines by far. Avoid at all costs. Known for last minute delays and cancellation. Was banned in Australia because they didn't adhere to safety regulations. My luggage was tampered with and things were stolen. Went to file report and attendant automatically asked if it was a Tiger Airlines flight, which only goes to show how often it happens. Airlines company impossible to reach directly because they can only be reached by email. Bad experience. Will never fly with Tiger airlines again.

They also do amendments for all the bookings. they can speak local language. they also offer free home delivery in chennai and bangalore. I flew with tiger airways and cabin crew is okay.but the ground suports officers are awesome, emigration was clear and flight seating was perfect for 4 hrs air ride to singapore, if we fly for more than 6 hrs it is not comfortable

Although we think it is worth the money flying tiger airways for short distances, the risk involved and frequent flight delays with tiger airways and the last minute frustration you face because of Tiger airways is not the worth of amount you save by not flying other airlines.


Here is my experience with tiger airways flying Singapore to Bangalore by tiger airways-




  1. Me and brother have flied tiger airways five times:




  2. Twice the flight has been cancelled.




  3. For my Bro's family when tiger made an alternative arrangement bro was in a different flight and his wife in a different flight.




  4. My bro had to take two leaves because of delay (Hence, no money saved, instead he could have flied Business Class in Singapore airlines and saved two leaves).




  5. My return ticket was cancelled and onward journey was reschedule without even calling me.






Conclusion:Better take some reliable airlines.

Fying with Tiger airways, is it Worth it?

This Airline is all a big scam! Misleading! I wanted to leave Cairns on Sunday night on the 31/10/2010 on the last plane out of Cairns to Melbourne with my family. Our tickets were booked for midnight, and we were believed that it was all ok.


As we arrived to the airport on Sunday night we were told that we missed our plain because the tickets were booked for Sunday 31/10/2010 at 00:15. This is Sunday mornings, ticket and not tonight’s! And we should have booked our ticket for the first plane on Monday morning out of Cairns on 01/11/2010 if we wanted to leave on Sunday night????? I mean Hello!!! What the hell???


So we had to pay our full airfares again, Is this fair???? Is this Australian???? I DON’T THINKSO! Tiger airfares are cheap, but you will pay double at the end of the day anyway! So might as well use other airlines, it will be less disappointing at the end!

I am kunal kulari from Mumbai and I unfortunately found the tiger airways number in India to be 93809-93808 in google and I called the people to book the ticket .. they gave me really cheaper fare then I saw in website..


Actually I saw chennai to singapore on feb 2011 to be Rs.5000 and they gave me for Rs.4200.. I don't know how and then I asked them.. they told me that they are the authorized agent for tiger airways in India.. I think their agency name is Al green travels..


Then I asked what else they can do? they replied they can add baggage, change the dates and also change the passengers name..
