I lost my luggage with Tiger Airways FLIGHT RI 834 and TR 2816 on July 8-9 flying from Denpasar, Bali to Changi to Phnom Penh. I had the worst service ever in my lifetime, traveling with Tiger airway from the beginning of my trip. First, when we checked-in our luggage at Bali airport counter, the staff lady at the counter DID NOT EVEN GIVE US A BAGGAGE TAG NUMBER. We somehow overlooked that and did not find out till we got to Changi to retrieve our baggage tag number.
Secondly, the staffs at Changi managed to find our baggage tag number in the system, we were so relieved because that convinced us that the bag was checked-in properly and it's been flown to our last destination Phnom Penh. Those staffs, however, reminded us of what to do IF WE LOST OUR BAGGAGE on our arrival at Phnom Penh. GUESS WHAT? WE DID LOSE OUR BAG on arrival at PHNOM PENH. CAN YOU IMAGINE, I HAD REPORTED THE DELAYED/LOST BAGGAGE AT THE LOST & FOUND AT PHNOM PENH AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED, AND I MYSELF MADE VARIOUS CALLS TO CHANGI AIRPORT LOST & FOUND TO FIND OUT WHERE OUR LUGGAGE IS.
We had to travel to Siem Reap the next day, and also made report at Siem Reap airport. Surprisingly, they were another couple that using the same Travel Agency with us LOST THEIR LUGGAGE TOO, using the same route, luckily managed to retrieve their luggage which was transferred to Siem Reap. My partner and I, finally back to our last destination which was Kuala Lumpur, and we did go to the TIGER AIRWAYS LOST & FOUND Counter at LCCT airport to report about it again, asking them to contact us as soon as possible if they managed to find out the status about the bag. GUESS WHAT AGAIN? I CALLED THEM AGAIN A WEEK LATER, THEY HAVE NO STATUS OF WHERE THE HELL IS OUR LUGGAGE! Now, it has been 3 weeks out, and within this three weeks, my partner and I have been making MULTIPLE CLAIMS to them, and...
SURPRISINGLY, WE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM! We did received an automated reply from them, that's all! We never heard any single words from them!!!! I even made multiple delayed/loss baggage reports to their customer portal, yet no news, nothing, zero response! I am thinking, it is very unprofessional of them to
1) did not give us the baggage tag number, 2) not knowing where our luggage at all, and their excuses were they cant check the status or location of our luggage in their system (we are talking about lost and found service here!!!), 3) ignoring multiple claim report that we have been making within this time frame. We are also surprised after this incident, that we are not the only one, based on the reviews on this flight company, there were many out there lost their luggage with tiger airways. Even when I was reporting my lost at the LCCT airport, there was another report was just made by customer flew from Jakarta-Changi-Phnom Penh.
I lost my luggage once using a budget flight in Canada, guess what, they found out where my luggage was in less than 24hr and managed to get the luggage back that was accidentally flown all the way to the east coast Canada (I was just flying within the west coast of Canada). I even received a magnificent service, when this budget flight company compensated our glitch by giving us $100 free voucher!
So, my point is I know how the process of losing a luggage like, and what the flight company should be doing!!!! This is very unacceptable! I have been so patient about all of this, and now i couldn't take it anymore since i have very valuable items in the luggage, my medicine, jewelry (containing metal products) and expensive clothes.
P.S: I need to hear from you tiger airways, and again this is very disappointing and worst service i've ever encountered for flying with tiger airways for the first time, and it will be our last for sure!
