I got hooked to an internet article sometime last year which said “London: An American dating company claims to have discovered the first scientific way of finding true romance - body odour! The dating company, ScientificMatch.com, says that the body odour is the main source of attraction.I read it with an open mouth and wondered how important the body odour has become in people’s life. Imagine if our Indian marriages too starts happening with “body odour match”than “Kundali match”, probably then most of the people will start giving importance to “body odour” (Strange as it may seem, many people with bad body odour are unaware that they smell. Scientific research has shown that some people cannot detect certain molecules. Their nostrils may be able to register the smell of garlic or curry, but not the smell emanating from their armpits.).
But its not that only a certain set of crowd suffer from this, almost everyone in this world sweats and they have to that's the body's biological way of cooling down. We have this myth that sweat smells nope its not true, it’s the bacteria that live on our skin which breaks down sweat into aromatic fatty acids and this leads to unpleasant odour. Men sweat more than women but they aren’t lucky like females who confide in their mom’s and get most of the secrets tips from them. My dad had only one thing to say “padhoge nahi to rickshaw chalaoge” (if you won’t study well you will end up being a rickshaw puller).
