Wait! Don’t run away, the review might yet turn out to be useful to you…I know I am bad at poetry but nothing wrong with trying it for once or twice(okay I won’t try it another time in this review, just to save you the torture of reading my verses!)

Coming back to daily shampoos–er-daily soaps produced by Kalaji – I mean Balaji Telefilms(need to keep my funny bone under control!), almost each and every television channel is flooded with serials produced by Ekta Kapoor, most of them being family dramas with thousands of new characters pouring in every new day, with long-lost relations popping up every single episode, with marriages and engagements happening all through the day, with those court scenes where you see the protagonists entering the court room just before the verdict to save the day, someone having an accident or being killed, a big jig in time, and all other kind of trash things happening in one single episode.

Yes, the daily soaps produced by Ekta Kapoor are those Saas-Bahu serials where you expect to see some Saas-bahu tu-tu-main-main but all you get to see is everything except the saas-bahu knok-jhok(obviously because the Saas or the Bahu is just too busy playing the righteous, judicious, ethical and the sugar-spice-and-everything nice-type heroine! Phew!).

Some K(C)ommon  Key-factors of the K-Ekta serials are:

The K-factor:

*If you don’t already know about the K-Factor of the K-serials produced by Ekta Kapoor, you must be a blinking fool! Still I will tell you about this exceptional K-factor which always leads to the success of not only the KJ movies or the RR movies but also to the success of the K-Ekta serials(so what if not to the success of the K-Ekta horror movies?!). Yes all the serials produced by Ekta Kapoor start with “K” even if the use of “K” is pointless, it would still be used, for instance “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” – God knows what she was thinking of before naming it like this…as if we asked for a reason why her serial is the way it is!

The Rich Joint Family:

The story always builds up around rich families where new members are added every single week, be it Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kusum, Kumkum, Kahin Toh Hoga or any other K-serial, this is a prime Key factor.

The Multiple Marriage Disorder:

Almost all the characters suffer from this incurable disease.All of the family members keep marrying, get engaged or at least get involved in silly love affairs every second thing and then a big rift occurs in the family regarding this catastrophe but in the end everything comes back to normal, with the second husband or wife disappearing without reason, just as she/he appeared without any reason! For instance: Mihir-Mandira-Tulsi, Karan-Tania-Ansh-Nandini-Another guy(I don’t know what his name is!); Kashish-Piush-Sujal-Swayam-Tushar(who later turned out to be Sujal!)-Gayantri-Archita-Archie-Mr.Alhuwalia-And Kashish got engaged two or three times more(I don’t remember the names); Prerna- Anurag-Mr.Bajaj, etc.etc.There are so many people affected with this contagious disease that one review is not enough to cite examples!

The J(G)eneration Jump:

After watching one of the K-serials for some months, one fine day you stare at your television screen with your mouth wide open, unable to believe what you are watching…yes the serial gave a huge leap in time(mostly it’s always a leap of twenty years). All the characters turn into – Mummy, Papa, Nana, Nani, Dada, Dadi - all of a sudden and even then, they don’t look a day older! I wonder how old “Ba” of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi must be now, with more than two Generation Jumps that occurred in the serial!

The Plastic Surgery trick:

*Be aware of these tricks…one of the characters in the serial have an accident or is pushed off a cliff or bridge or just disappears all of a sudden and then another new character is added to this gem of a serial. And after a lot of this and that for some months, the great secret is revealed - that the new character is the one who fell off the cliff or something, and is back for revenge(a fool you must be if you are unable to look right through this trick the first time you see the new character!).Cases of this have been reported many times…Tushar turns out to be Sujal – Kahin Toh Hoga, Priyanka turns out to be Mandira – Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi bahu Thi, Mallika turns out to be Shruti - Koi Apna Sa(okay I can’t recall anymore names)!

*The Age-Doesn’t-Matter Attitude:

*No, I am not talking about the “She is 18. He is 60.” thing(Get a grip on your imagination!). In most of the K-series it is noticed that the parents keep marrying even after the marriage of their children, and in some cases even after their grandchildren reach their marital ages(Mihir, with his grandson Lakshya hoping to marry KT, was still in the process of getting married to Mira when Good Ol' Tulsi stopped this happy event from occurring!).

The Disappearing Act:

*If you notice carefully, then many of the characters disappear without leaving any trace of their existence behind them. Nope they are not even killed, yet they vanish…you can take Karishma’s disappearance for instance or Indu’s disappearance – Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, or Archie’s or Archita’s disappearance – Kahin Toh Hoga. Enough for examples- I can’t put any more stress on my mind for remembering such absurdity!

The Krazy Dialogues:

*Imagine before you are about to shoot someone, you politely explain the reason for killing that person and the guy who is to be shot listens to you with all the patience in the world! Imagine yourself always being philosophical about everything that goes on, in and around you and comparing your family members with some legendary character.Imagine Tulsi and Mihir being compared to Ram and Sita, Karan being compared to Karna of Mahabharat, Ekalavya being compared to Ekalavya of Mahabharat…sometimes these high sounding dialogues make me think that someday you might see that all the K-serials have turned into epics and would be read in each and every house in place of the Gita or the Ramayan and the Mahbharat! Complete idiocy!

Lack of Sense and Sensibility:

All these K-Serials lack this factor and the lack of this factor is in reality the real reason to the popularity of the K-serials.One girl or one guy marries what seems like thousand times in these serials, the scene of someone slapping someone else is repeated say more than a thousand times, people are killed or kidnapped so foolishly, the sudden show of morality by the central character which disappears in the next episode, and half the time the working men of the house are seen in the house only(!), solving the trivial problems of the other members and a lot of other crappy things go on in the serials which lack sensibility to the last bit!

It means unity but by her rubbish program she makes us to do something which can only divide(Opposite of Ekta-Unity) husband and wife or any two persons.Its good for her that she is making money by the TRP of the program but what about the things which she is doing by spoiling the relationship of two persons.

As we know that programs and movies are the part of our life which affects the whole process of our life.we get uplifted by looking some good movies and sometimes get distracted by it.Its better for EKTA TO MAKE SOME THING THAT BINDS EVERYONE.In some serials she uses voilence.

I doesn't mean that she dont make any good programs but after some happier moment she introduces some real disgusting things which cannot be digested.I prefer that the programs should show unity but not diversity.

I sat to type down a mail to you for I am really , really, really tired of your extremely ridiculous soaps.

No one in my family , except for my servant , ever watches your out-of-this-world soaps .We get to know what is going on which serial through our servant, who has nothing to do except to talk about  your "faltoo" soaps, which boils our blood.

I would just like to ask you something:CAN'T YOU EVER PROJECT SOMETHING POSITIVE THROUGH YOUR SOAPS?

Whatever I hear from my servant or from my classmates  just potrays the plight of a "shareef woman" and the ecstasy of a villain or vamps(who are quite popular) of your soaps.It is good that you show morals &  values, but sweetheart as per my information your soaps never  ever show the victory morals & values over evil.

Eventually, my servant cried bitterly after he watched an episode of your soap "kyunki...."I n which an important charecter Katy , or whatever is the name, got raped.

You very casually show rapes and illicits, it seems.Another question, do you derive some sort of a sadistic pleasure by showing sexual abuse in your soaps so casually? Being a part of the Generation Next, I am concerned about two things:

#Your mental health(because you are a fellow  citizen of my country ). # The many people who are psychological  victimised due to the inexplicably. Ridiculous  & sexually violent soap operas of yours.

You are doing a business on the expense of the mental healthof the people of our country. Go on.I can't stop you. Nobody can. Be as ridiculous as you can be.

Be as vulgar as you can be. Be as sadistic as you can be. I just made an effort to (atleast) put my thought across to you. AN  ANNOYED TEENAGER.

Well folks how many times have you come across situations portrayed in the K Serials conceptualized by the so called Queen of Soap Opera? Am sure none. Her serials convey nothing but a bunch of lies! I have not once though accidentally bumped into my look alike and wonder how the characters of her serials do it so frequently. Probably the copy and paste function is used rampantly. However The catch- When ever they desperately need one. Phew! what amazing coincidence. Am so glad that God does it skillfully on screen and not in real life.

If the statistics are to be believed the Tolerance Index in the modern era has fallen drastically unlike her obedient Bahus who go on to the extent of disguising themselves under oath to investigating to reveal the truth about the Bad Man/Vamps in the show. Truly said "Patience is a virtue" which the Women Brigade like Tulsi, Parvati, Prerna etc imbibe. Though her efforts to produce women oriented serials is commendable yet she should set a limit to over-exaggeration.

At times it really gets difficult to differentiate between the parents and their children as the children look the same age of their parents. Tanya and Bhoomi for instance look like sisters and lolz that is not the case. The need is to pick up actors who at least fit the bill! Most of the times they appear artificial and become laughing stocks. Seems like Ms.Kapoor has invented a new age control mantra, will sure approach her for the same.

Marriage for her is  a child's play. Anurag Basu by this time must have forgotten how many times did he fall in love and marry the lady of his dreams. Huh! If at all she does not believe in the institution of marriage-accepted, but she has no right what so ever to demean it by projecting it as a solution to compromises. It is asacred phenomenon which should be respected and not be taken for a ride.

Overall her idea of an Indian household is miles away from the harsh realities of life. Not so easily do we trust and permit strangers to invade are heavenly abode. The dead do not wake to life, poor do not become overnight celebrities! Last but not the least folks let us wake up from our fool's paradise and prevent Ms. Kapoor from spreading such illusions.

I appreciate your work in producing good Hindi serials. I am 65 years old and works as Engineering Consultant in Dubai.

However there is scope of improvement which some time annoys me due to very much away from realities of life and social environments existing in our Indian Society. To quote some of them as follows: -

1. There are very rare chances in the existence of human race that two identical persons are found without  being twins.

   
   




2. The Actor vanishes from the scene for many years and appears again all of sudden leaving very unpleasant feeling. Suspense can be created in other ways also.

   
   




3. When there is a shooting or killing scene there is no activity of police to contain the movement of the culprit. But in your serials the actor move freely and attempt again to shoot the person. Where as in actual he will be running away from police whole of his life until caught and punished.

   
   




4. The most annoying thing is dialogues between the Vamp and good person. The vamp keeps on speaking in cunning style and will not allow the person to speak. In reality, other person will shout at the vamp and fight back. there is no tolerance in real life the way you show in the serials.

   
   




5. You are using background sound to convey thoughts of the person instead of actual dialogues.

   
   




6. The most annoying thing is replacing of the actor by changing the face by surgery without caryying for the pitch of sound the other person is producing and the quality of face expressions.

   
   

I suggest that the above points should be considered to improve the quality of Serials. Please do not extend the serials for the Heck of it. If the story dictates only then extend the serials. Last but not least, Please produce Serials with Light Comody with important social theme. You have earned lot of money by making commercail serials, now is the time to produce some social reform serials instead of spoiling the athics of Indian Marriages. Show the couple to have more time together to understand each other instead of living with the spouse in the same house for 20 years before marrying.

  Ekta Kapoor - the Queen of small screen has produced and co –produced many soap operas, television series and films. Her career took a lift off since Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi had been aired in the year 2000, after that there was no looking back.

Kahani ghar ghar ki, kesar, karam apna apna, Kahi toh hoga, kasam se, Kavy Anjali, kkusum, k street paali hill, kasauti zindagi ki …etc the list goes on. The most vital benefit is that these numerous serials have provided a number of job opportunities to the youngsters and those who have failed to create magic in Bolly wood have gained importance and reputation on the small screen.

But slowly the trend is changing; the most awaited serials are now being criticized by many. .More than 45% of the people say that Ekta’s daily serials have become immoral, unreasonable, exaggerated, can not be viewed along with ones family i.e scenes containing shocking boldness have been included in her work.  25% still are with the serials, they say they are some serials which are moral based, according to the changing world etc. the rest watch it for time pass or just for the heck of it because they have been watching the boundless serials since the beginning but do believe it’s a total throw away of time.

Ever watched the title credits of an Ekta Kapoor serial? The title called ‘Concept By’ will be taken up invariably by the queen herself. Ekta Kapoor! Yes, that alpha woman who possesses the business acumen to mastermind ploys that split the entire nation to two; the dumb minds that love it; the intelligent minds that thoroughly hate it.

Some say, her concept is that of a Feminist with a touch of Indian family values. I say, her concepts blatantly support Anti-Feminism and here are my reasons.

Sample Scenario {... A newly wed, middle class, saree-clad “Ekta prototype woman” comes to the family of her extra-rich in-laws ...} All except her brother-in-law’s wife (who is lazy and selfish) love her. Her Mother-in-law is extra caring. Sister-in-law adopts her as a step mom.

She takes up the role of a dignified in-house servant with ease. I mean the docile wife who gains the love of everyone by willingly behaving like a doormat for all. She does all the cleaning, cooking, washing, loving, caring of mother-in-law. She joins her husbands company and becomes the most respected, technically brilliant CEO in no time.

*Well Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor hav produced awesome shows.their shows hav been winning several awards in various award functions.lik best serial, best actor , best actress, newcomers, music, story, song, production house, vamps, etc.

I read your so called testimonials on your website (kapoorekta.com) and I find it hard to believe that they are all positive.  I for one think that you are shame to our society in general.  First of all, the difference between the the Indian society and the western society is the Culture, Ethics and value system.  We have worked for decades to preserve our culture and value system and you being a woman has destroyed that preservation by portraying Indian women as brainless stupid and dumb.

I am disgusted with the crap that you put on TV for the world to see. disgracing us, with the way your mind works. All your shows portray our Indian society as cruel, evil and unethical.  I can see that of the western society, but Indian culture? When Ekta kapoor started her marathon run some decades back, may be this review would have praised her. But after such a long period, with no creativity and monotonous ideas/themes it is hard to find something positive out of anything.

I seriously doubted that lady in her personal life, who just cannot be, for the sake of money/business, yield such clumsy things year after year. You got to be tired of the same job and if you are not, then you must be enjoying and if you enjoy things which are towards the negativity of life, then I give up about that person.

Although it's not favorable to comment on anyone's personality without knowing, but on the basis of viewers who are not even associated with anything apart from watching, if they feel irritated and I am amazed at how the directors/producers are not. The same person, year after year, same case study. You must be enjoying to carry on further.

I cannot blame fully at any single point behind this, the viewers are still watching and channels are still broadcasting and she is still on the business of s**t making. So as soon as the viewing rate diminishes these garbages will be out.

Till then, rather than cursing her we can better look at our family members who continues watching these scraps. She is for money and we giver her that thing.

Just some shame out of the kapoor family, in terms of quality. If she wishes, I am sure she can, but I would love to see some creative products from her far apart from these garbages of family politics.

We have been watching ekta kapoors dramas for the past 8-9 years and we liked them.But now we have noticed its almost the same story line and same problems. They keep making the serial longer and stretching the story line.Kyunki Saas bhi and kasuaittii and kahaani ghargharkii we our favs but now they show us the same locations and same houses and same story setting etc.

We have stopped watchingthem. Now we statrted watching kasam se and kahiin to ho ga. Kasam se is now goin to the dept by showing a wrong relationship between a husband and his sister in law.Ekta herself is sending away her viewers. she  needs to bring a brand new story line and charcaters and respcetfull show. We here in canada enjoy these types of shows but now are starting to stop watching them.Our whole family has been watching kasam se but now u killed jais baby.

Ekta is the worst director I have ever seen!! Her characters are shallow minded (low IQ!!), lack integrity & preach what they cannot practice !! She is obsessed with rich persons who have a trillion problems & have no love, understanding or trust in each other  & who live in a big palatial mansion!! ALL  these powerful "Moghuls" know is to yell at each other & raise their hand against their "Women" .

Her serial " Kasamh Se" sucks !!! The three sisters have ALL grown up now & their "Chemistry" would work better if they all leave Bani & Jai Walia to live in peace & harmony !! Enough of Bani taking care of her sisters !! They have ALL settled down in life & are  now married & have their husbands to guide/take care/advise them them if they need help !! She should take care of herself & JAI..Why is BANI hiding everything from JAI. If JAI is a sharp businessman who has made crores of rupees...he should be smart enough to know the truth without even BANI telling him anything about it..

The two sisters should ALL pack their bags & leave !! The second sister (Pia) is materialistic & "Enough is enough" of her immaturity & ambition!! She has done enough damage to JAI in Dubai & what is she trying to convince JAI about ?? She has Pushkar who loves her & yearns for her ?? She should learn to live a middle-class life if that's what her husband Pushkar earns!! There is NO chemistry working between JAI & PIA.  JAI loves his wife to be home & blend with Dadi/Mausi/& other members of the family & have a family (kids). PIA on the other had is a career-minded lady who aborts her child & has no intentions of having a child.. WHERE is the chemistry going between JAI & PIA ?? As for the younger sister Rano & her husband Sahil - she can be tolerated a little bit. Jigyasa is a "poisonous venomous snake & should be got rid of" & so is her son Ranbir. . Aunt Biji, Dadi Bilo, Rashi, Anu, Aditya can be tolerated. Jai Walia needs to take control of "the situation" as HE is the boss & learn NOT to HIT anybody & everybody he LIKES (He can be sued  for hitting Ranbir/Jigyasa/Sahil/Pia/a person in the party ) !! He should be penalized for this !! Also HE should OPEN his mouth & deliver the dialogs instead of BITING his teeth together !! SO UGLY HE LOOKS  when he does that.. ...........FAN in the USA

Where's the "ekta"(oneness/union) in ekta kapoor's serials? And not just her's but all those producers who make such pathetic family serials.hello! where is the family in ur so-called family serials?

What started of as serials boasting of joint family values and love between all members has become only procrastination of all values prevalent in the world.

Dont you people realise that the world and its people are already subject to so much tension, depression, anger in real life that they really dont need to see your reel life nonsense as well. You have a responsibility towards society. Having obscured the prime time slots doesnt mean that you can broadcast wifes and husbands engaging in adultery all the time, illegitimate children springing up 20 years later in the serial to avenge their illegitimate mother's death and so and so forth.

What the hell are you trying to show.is this what the Indian society is all about or have you decided that you are going to turn all the values of the Indian culture upside down? I am sure you hail from a respectable Indian family as well and that Indian roots are embedded in you as well.

Then why do you broadcast such a wrong light of the society's most pridely held values? Just for the sake of sky rocketing your TRP ratings and to fill your bank accounts? Just becasue if there is no melodrama .so called "mirch masala" in your serials .you think they won't sell?

You people disgust me like no other. You should really be ashamed for having ruled the television for so many years by resorting to such inappropriate means.

A big percentage of your viewership is middle and old aged people. You really dont need to screw up their brains. At  this age they need something that shows them positivity in life not the thoughts like "The world sucks.or if something good has happened it has to be followed by something bad." I really hope that someday people realise this and there's an awakening to boycott the broadcast of such crap.

Its my sincere request to all those who are stuck to their television sets to please stop watching these horribly depressing shows when you could really be watching something better. Please stop this criminal waste of time - if we realsie this together we canmake a difference and throw such garbage out of our homes.

The famous ekta kappor- shobha kapoor jodi ruining indian family life every night.

Thanks for such an opportunity to let out our fumings against this character who calls herself as an indian citizen. shame on such a character.

Her serials - a big success for her, a big money making mechanism, popularity giving machine.

She is least bothered about the society. the effect - the ILL effect its creatng on the viewers.

Each serial has the same stuff. No wife lives happily with her her husband. no husband is faithful to his wife. no couple have a blissful life with children and inlaws and such. she doesnt want inlaws and bahus to live in harmony.

every sister in law is vicious, conspirators plot makers to ruin the family.

every mother in law is jealous about her bahu. always scheming and with killer instinct.

I am not talking offhand. Let me elucidate some examples. In my own family two young girls in early 20's got married with their own consent to very good grooms. could not adjust, they wanted freedom, independance , they didnt want their inlaws to stay with them. when questioned they quoted -"why this is what happened in that serial in this serial " and hold ur breath all the serials were produced by our honorable ekta KKKK kapoor.

I wonder how long, far and wide this mother - daughter jodi will go in ruining indian families and the future generation.

The present and next immediate young generation do not want marriage, blissful life in harmony with husband and inlaws. they look suspiciously even at the most docile soft mothers in law.

Does she understand tomorrow she need to get married too? what's the guarantee her life will not face such ill effect too.

I wonder what her father the famous star himself has to say about all this.

if she wants to make serials let her make about women yes most welcome. Let her show what women have achieved, what women were and what they are now in a constructive way. As if hindi wasnt enough her foray into all the regional languages have made lives miserable least to say. hope she changes. money and fame is not everything. as a dutiful citizen she has some responsibility towards the nation and her co citizens. wake up ekta. stop your bullshit

At the begining, let me say that this may be a somewhat ill-informed review. I am not a great watcher of these serials and manage to see about 1-2 episodes in a week of totally different serials. Sometimes it is Kasauti, sometimes Kahaani Ghar-Ghar ki or else, of course kyuunki Saas.....

The dedicated watchers in my household are my two maids who totally love Ekta's characters, their machinations and CLOTHES. I think the way Ekta dresses her characters is very exciting for them. Watching these ladies watch the serials, I realise that Ekta has a profound impact on society and a grudging admiration is born as to how she has a huge segment of society wrapped around her fingers.

The serials stun me because every time I join in the watching after a break of 4-5 days, I find that couples have separated, remarried, murdered etc. etc. Kasauti specially confused me when I found Prerna married to Mr.Bajaj/Anuraag alternately twice and then finally to Mr.Bajaaj but sleeping with Anuraag! Anuraag dies and is resurrected, Aparna dies and is resurrected and so on and so forth. I have no idea at present who is dead and who is alive and even more confusing, which child of Anuraag is seeing which child of Prerna etc. In Kyuunki Saas.. I feel that the women have discovered a fountain of youth. Tulsi is a grandmother, Her in-laws are great-grandparents and all of them manage to look younger than me - my daughter is in class VIII ! Mihir has also been born again, separated, indulged in bigamy, etc etc. Nobody dies and its a never-ending story. Even the Mahabharat ended at one point with Ved Vyaas realising that a good ending is as important to a story as a good begining and body.

All said and done, the stories make no sense to me. I personally feel that if so many unusual events happened in a family, they would enter into a suicide pact, go to the top floor of their ( joint ) family mansion and leap off. But then, as soon as they were back from vacation, they would need to be resurrected!!!

Yet.. Ekta manages to keep a generation hooked. What is it she has? There must be more to it than the K factor. I'm missing something here I guess. As long as she keeps my girls happy and hooked to the 29" glam families, I'm more than happy. I just wish she would make serials with sensible stories which had an end. She could always get a new contract for the next serial!

Hi everybody n hope my personal views won't hurt anybody coz wat I read till now seems many of u r praising EKTA. Ya I my family as well friends n of course many MAURITIANS as us used 2 appreciate KYUNKI SAAS which starts very very n very interesting but from a certain while it started diverting from it's topic n now we think it's completly out of line. We think ze serial should end in a happy climax n which's now ze time 2. It don't reflects ze relation of Saas n Bahu but mostly on vengeance. Wer savita should side Tulsi ze daughter like Bahu she's siding people such as Mohini who's firm on ruining ze Virani family. She's used in doing zis i.e (1st siding Payal, zen Gautham, zen Ansh followed by Mohini n wat we heard later it'll b 4 Meera). So unbelievable ze same Meera who's fighting Tulsi case will become her worst enemy. N Mohini's is creating division n nobody is aware except Tulsi n Karan who r not well seen in ze family. Rather zan being thankful 2 Karan who's ze savior of ze whole family ze all hate him. Ekta is making people her serial slaves. Of course we praise her 4 her serial Kalash which had an end n so hope 4 zis 1 too.And we think zat every1 should now get ze proof zat it was true zat Ansh got Vishal killed n Abhishek's his complice n of course Payal should appologise 4 her misunderstandings. Zis serial must end in ze very presence of Ba n Savita as zey started ze serial n ends with zem so zat zey can say zey accomplish their duty in uniting ze family. If we want we can say more but from only zis small notes we think it's enough 2 make Ekta realise zat it's time 4 a full stop but of course hoping she receive ze request.

Kyunki Saas Bhi: Circa 2000-2006. Cars are appropiate to the time-frame. Even the cell phones that are attatched to the ladies' hands, 24/7, are state of the art.

Then BAM, we are transported 20 years into the future. Now we are delving in the realm of Sci-Fi. That is fine. I am a sci-fi buff. Only sad thing is, we are looking at an extremely bleak future if we are driving the same twenty year old model cars, and using the same cell phones.

We are also delving in the realm of the ridiculous. Tulsi's Ba has turned 104 years of age. She makes a long trip, first by plane, then a luxury bus-ride, gets to Haridwar from Mumbai. She shows no apparent  signs of wear or tear.

As for Tulsi: Born 1960; deceased(alledgedly) 2006.(Clearly written on a vacant Picture Frame, where her photo was supposed to be, till Maheer snatches it out and burns it with all the rest of the pictures. there must have been an occasion or two when a professional photographer  took some pictures, who might have saved some negatives. In fact I remember a few instances through the six years when photos were taken by a pro. Once Maheer starts regretting his action, he starts making her pictures in black-chalk sketches. Wow, that is True Love.

Meera tells Maheer, Krishna-Tulsi is Tulsi's daughter from a second marriage. Naturally, since Meera is his Company Lawyer, her word is Gospel Truth. Never for a moment does he consider that Tulsi was 46 years old when she left. By the time she finds a husband, marries him, conceives a child, a few years might have gone by, putting her age somewhere close to 50.

Another interesting fact: Tulsi is clearly showing her 66 years. Meera Singhania on the other hand, who is approximately the same age, still looks like she is in her thirties.

Alas, even in 2026, Maheer Virani has not had his teeth fixed, or atleast capped.

In summation, I would give my life-savings to get the secret of Ba's longevity, Tulsi's Fertility and Meera's youthfulness.( might spend a little bit of it on a dentist for Maheer.)

mother-in-law hates daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law hates hubby's grandma, grandma hates grandson's father-in-law, grandpa hates grandma's sister's daughter, sister-in-law hates maid servant, maid servant hates cooks wife, cooks wife hates garderner's sister and milk supplier's mother-in-law.

Papa doesn't like pop-in-law. Pop-in-law is always plotting against brother of son -in-law with the help of local policeman and the neighborhood pickpocket.   Mom-in-law hates neighbor's daughter's boss. Boss hates the office dabbawala. Dabbawala hates the HR Manager and the Admin manager.

The newly wed son hates the news paper boy, news paper boy hates the newly wed son's wife and his ex. Son's wife hates mother's-in-law sister's pregnant daughter and her doctor and the nurse. Nurse's husband hates the hospital's female pharmacist. The female pharmacist LOVES (that's a typical Ekta Kapoor twist) the scientist who discovered viagra.

I will leave rest of creativity and expertise to Ms.Ekta Kapoor. I've run out of hate list.

What is wrong with Ekta Kapoor, her brains are probably dancing like Jeetendra in his tight pants.....around the bush.   She cant think of any new ideas, fool the public and make the bad guys triumph and the good loose.

You know watching the series I can predict whats going to happen....and im always right. I think Ill do a better job writing the story for her. Shes probably still a school girl who cant think outside the box. She simply annoys me.

Heard she makes her actors sleep with her clients.....that's what one of the stars told me and he quit because she refused to make his payments after he refused.......all the good lookers work with her. I admit she has quite a few pretty good actors like Tulsi and Mihir who are good and even the Grand mother.

Anyway I guess the story only goes to reflect her true life, the bad always prevails like EKTA   .   Truth hurts right Ekta, I just hope you read this and sweat.......well, you're probably a hard nut like your brother. Useless assh*les.

PLZ! MAINTAIN 2 MIN SILENCE FOR JEETENDRA AND HIS WIFE FOR HAVING A CHILD LIKE EKTA KAPOOR! PLZ

She has the capability (which lacks even in your worst enemy)! i.e. she can make you cry within seconds…and she is currently doing this successfully to many Indians.

SO0o! who is this crazy person? Ekta Kapoor, producer of our most popular (her claim) T.V. serials (though I don’t see any of them). The story writers working for her are even more crazier and are just unique. Well, let’s talk about some of her most popular T.V. serials – KSBKBT (Kyuki…) and KJK (Kasauti…). Starting with the names of the serials.

If serials are unique, so are there names. Usually they are long and don’t be surprised if they are a mile long (our serial makers have the potential to extend it further). Most of them start with THE ‘ K ’, good luck King. This virus of writing long titles in this short world that too with character ‘K’ has infected many in bollywood also (e.g. Karan Johar who MAY BE someday! will make a movie named “K…K…KABAADIWALA” starting one of the famous “K..K…KHANS” on theme of the famous child-story “ KABULIWALA”).

Lets go to another aspect—the story. The beginning of the most of her serials’ story is based on the theme “ ek tha raja, ek thi rani. Dono hasse start ho gayi kahani”. The raja’s family and the rani’s family (both rich and well established) are some or the other way connected to each other ( dost ya dushman). Two-three months after the commencement of the serial (any idiot can guess it) “raja ko rani se pyar hogaya”…obviously after some tantrums of one of the families. Then comes the grand *shaadi of raja *and *rani *in which people wear very heavy clothes and even more heavy accessories. They all dance (SORRY sorry, they all try to dance) to various bollywood numbers sung exactly in the same melody (as in the case of original song) by some unknown singer who may be trying to become next Indian Idol. Right after marriage, comes the Honeymoon period in which every single soul (even the servants and the drivers) is happy for few episodes. Few days after honeymoon period, babies are born and even faster new characters are born. Finally, tragedy arrives to the story (a baby is lost or some family member shows off his/her true colors). After few months, something happens one day and everyone gets mature by 20 years (like H.Roshan becomes mature after the entry of *jaadu, following that concept; there must have been some huge alien that influenced the storywriter). At this point of time, most of the credit for the serial’s success must go to the makeup artist. Enters the twist; the lost son is back with a bang…“mamma’s goody turns into a bad one”. He does wrong things and you have the privilege to see gallons…oceans of tears.

One more indispensable thing in these type of episodes is the extreme overpopulation - thanks to uncontrollability towards sex and poor sense of family planning. After viewing for years! you may even do not know the number of children of a particular couple, in which; the male partner being responsible for even more humans (animals possible) with somebody (obviously female, who in later stages of story turns into a vamp with absolutely no terror, no horror, no fear in her). The vamp fights from mind (which she doesn’t have) and shockingly even hurts the rivals. I can’t describe further.

So, what fetches them those Everest-kissing TRPs which, only they claim? Their ability to convert a drawing room into an international airport or the fake-up which they put in quintals per sq. m over their ugly faces or those cheap overflowing rivers of tears, which they can maintain throughout the year?

How many stars would I allocate to her? (minus infinity…sadly Mouthshut doesn’t give you that option).

Would I recommend her to anybody? YES! If that person is my enemy.

Lastly! I again feel sorry for Jeetendra and his wife…Imagine being parents of Ekta and his wonder-brother Tushaar Kapoor (JUST  IMAGINE!  JUST  FEEL  THEIR  PAIN)..
