This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. One Two Three movie's main Character is Paresh Rawal, Sunil Setty and Tushar. Sanjay Mishra as Pinto has played an excellent role. This is a Hindi comedy movie and two of its characters Sunil Setty and Paresh Rawal has same name, Lakshminarayan. They once stay in same hotel where all confusion starts.

Mukesh Tiwari as Papa has played delightful role. We recommend it for everyone.

Jul 22, 2009 09:45 AM 5274 Views

Plot:

The movie is based upon a diamond robbery. After the diamond gets stolen, It accidently falls into the more then required safe hands of Chandu[Upen Patel] and Chandni[Tanisha]. They both work in some sort of a car show room, which has each and every type of car. To keep the diamond away the from mobsters and other people. The diamond is hidden in a vantage car, supposing no one will buy it anyway.

Now, To create an absoslute ’Non’- sense making comedy and interweaving a 20 characters to a diamond, Enter three Laxmi Narayans.

#1. Tusshar Kapoor - Who belongs to a explicit bhai background, but is a black dead lame dot on his family’s record. His mother always keeps on craving for him to score him a chance of killing someone.

#2. Suniel Shetty - An absolute dud employee. Over understanding all the orders and issues passed to him. Always trying to keep the above one happy, with his over efficiency.

#3. Paresh Rawal - A ’Corporate’ in world of absolutely ’Non’ sense garments and undergarments.

If someone says that the movie is good, he is actually ur enemy. Believe me, this is the worsr movie in recent times; and I do see lot of movies.

One Two Three-Review
May 29, 2008 01:13 PM 5933 Views

Well, I begged my dad to watch this with me in the theatre(Multiplex) and he said OK. I wanted to see it coz It had been long since I watched a'comedy' which was Bhool Bhulaiyaa. And for me, whatever comedy, if it involves laughter, chalega. So, we wnt and watched.

After Phir Hera Pheri's success with same writer-director, I expected a lot from this movie, I was proven wrong. Ashwai Dhir's work is like an amateurs. The script has no sense, the cast are rather good actors who were made to look bad. This Wannabe Don-Lakshminarayan-Tusshar Kaoor, is funny, and cannot carry out an illegal activity properly. It's his mom who want's him to become a Don like his father.

Lakshminarayan 2-Suneil Shetty- Automobile salesman-Too confused for words. He always asks questions like. "Kahan Betoon sir? Sofe pe ya Kursi pe? "Left pe ya right pe?" "Aapka left/right ya mera left/right?" After a while that can get boring.

And Lakshminarayn 3- Paresh Rawal-Lingre salesman. He makes a lot of comic dialogues and everything, but he ain't great.

Then, Tusshar has to go to Pondi to murder a Don, Demelo Yadav(Mukesh Tiwari) and get a 20 Crore Rs. Diamond off him. His 2 henchen, Albert and Pinto are there with him. Suneil Shetty has to go to Pondi to buy a car from Laila(Sameera Reddy)'s showroom. Paresh Rawal has to go to Pondi to but Lingries off Esha Deol. They are all told to stay in Blue Diamond Hotel. There, Tusshar's information goes to Shetty, Paresh Rawal's to Tusshar and Suneil Shetty's to Paresh Rawal. The thing there is, all get photos. Tusshar's which goes to Shetty has Demelo smoking inside an old Maruti 800. Shetty's gone to Paresh-ji has Sameera Reddy in front of a car with Bikini's on. Paresh-ji's one goe to Tusshar has Esha Deol. So, Tusshar thinks he has to murder Esha Deol, Paresh Rawal thinks he has to buy the bikini's which Sameera Reddy wore in the photo. And Suneil Shetty thinks he ahs to buy the car which Demelo is sitting in. Yadav adds'S' to every word in English, so he talks like, "Alberts, Pintos, comes heres."

There are also Upen Patel and Tannisha, 2 young lovers who hid the diamond of Rs.20 Crores in the car tank of the car which Shetty is told to buy. The next is all chaos.

If you like movies just for the laughs and don't look for logic and sense, you will like it. Otherwise you will hate it.

Stress busting inane comedy!
Apr 17, 2008 11:31 AM 5009 Views

One two three may not be in the league of Partner or Welcome and definitely not in the league of Bheja Fry for sure but what remains the distinct factor and the reason for watching this comedy is the silliness of its situations, its dialogues and the brilliant performances by the co-stars of the film. Mindless comedy it is but hilarious if you like the silly genre.

The plot revolves around diamonds, three people by the same name of Laxminarayan, Papa Don and gang, a horny police inspector and a medley of inane characters who make little or no sense. As you get the idea, the movie is a no-brainer. Director Ashwani Dheer impresses with a few aspects. One is the importance given to the supporting stars. These characters are funnier than the lead actors and it is a treat to watch Sanjay Mishra play Pintos, Manoj Pahwa play the lyrical bhai and Mukesh Tiwari play the infamous Papa.

Upen Patel, Tushar Kapoor, Tanisha, Sameera Reddy and Esha Deol are boring to watch since they are stuck either supporting furniture or are trying to understand the role that they need to be playing till the very end of the movie. Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal have performed well and are seasoned actors in this genre now. Sunil Shetty’s irritating interrogative style comes up when you least expect it to and thus, brings out a few laughs. The director has refrained from overdoing certain aspects of the comedy that would make it repetitive. Instead, he brings these one-liners when you least expect them and thus keeps the silly factor flowing. The audience would erupt with laughter each time Sanjay Mishra says ‘Papa’ and his performance towards the end would send one rolling on the floor.

The title track and Rock mahiya are catchy tracks but otherwise, the music is just a drag for the film. The film does have numerous flaws in terms of the plot, script, direction and editing but the screenplay and dialogues make it worth a watch for the silly humour. No matter how pragmatic or critical one is when watching this film, it is impossible to remain serious during the 5-6 scenes that are the highlight of the film’s comedy. The chase sequence on the streets, all scenes among Albert, Pinto and Papa, Manoj Pahwa’s random quotes and the climax make up for all the flaws and thus make this otherwise avoidable flick, worth a random watch.

Those who go with the least expectations after a stressful day at work will come out laughing and recollecting the numerous dialogues.

Warning  here-watch  this  movie  only  if   you  like  non-sensical  slapstick  comedy  like  me.Otherwise, this  movie  will  seem  ridiculous  to you.Lakshmi  Narayan  1(Tusshar  Kapoor)  is  a  wannabe  don. His  father  was  a  great  gangster  &  his  mother  wants  him  to  follow  in  his  footsteps. But  LK  1  has  a  soft  heart  &  can't  bring  himself  to  kill  anyone  which  annoys  his  mother.Laksmi  Narayan  2(Sunil  Shetty)  is  a  stupid  MBAite  from  the  University  of  Jharkhand. He  can  never  seem  to  do  anything  right  &  ends  up  upsetting  his  boss  all  the  time.Lakshmi  Narayan  3(Paresh  Rawal)  is  a  lingerie  salesman  who's  making  big  bucks.Soon  he  opens  his  own lingerie  design  company  with his  son as  the  head. But  LK  3  always calls  the  underwears  in the  raw  form  which  bugs  his  son. His  son  prefers  to  call  them  in  the  classy  way  as  'lingerie'.A  missing  diamond  piece  is  thrown  in  the  story.Chandu(Upen Patel)  &  Chandini(Tanishaa)  find  it  &  hide  it  in  the  kerosene  tank  of  their  car. But  the  car  is  going  to  be  sold  to  LK  2's  boss. The  car  belongs  to  Chandu  &  Chandini's  boss's  showroom.Their  boss  is  Laila(Sameera  Reddy)  &  she's  desperately  seeking  people  to buy  her  used  cars.Jia(Esha  Deol)  is  a  restaurant  owner  who  has  to  pay  her  father's  partner's  son  his  share  of  the  money. To  help  her  in  this  cause, she's  become  a  part-time  lingerie  designer.Another  mobster  gang  is  in srach of the  diamond. All the  characters  are  mixed  up  & that  forms  the basic plot  of  the  movie. The  music is  good  enough.Raghav  Sachar  definitely has talent. The  cast  have  given  their  complete  comedic  performance. But  Upen &  Tanishaa  aren't  seen much  in the  film except  for  two  songs.Tusshar  Kapoor is  a good  dancer  &  it's  a  pity  he  didn't  have  a  proper  song  to  display  his  god-given talent.Remember  my  warning   &  then decide  whether  to  watch this  movie  or  not.But the  ending is  very Priyadarshan  style.

Whats in the name? 1,2 & 3 - Movie Review
Apr 07, 2008 01:03 PM 4780 Views

Whats in the name, that's what shakespere or more precisely chacha

shakespere had said, however 1, 2&3 proves that everything about is

in the name. Saw the latest out and out comedy movie yesterday night

and I liked the movie instantly though the movie is receiving pretty

harsh reviews all over. First and foremost there are lots of double

meaning dialogues and references to women's underwear (kache baniyan)

in the move, primarily due to which most of the elder audience finds

the movie vulgar. However young people would love this movie and well

to be fair the movie has really funny sequences and dialogues at many

places.

As is the norm with comedy movies nowadays, the

prerequisite for enjoying this movies is to leave your brain at home

and just go to the theater purely to laugh your mind out. the plot of

the movie is as follows:

Diamonds

belonging to a Don [Manoj Pahwa] get stolen. The diamonds accidentally

fall in the hands of Chandu [Upen Patel] and Chandni [Tanishaa], who

hide them in a car. Papa [Mukesh Tiwari] and his henchmen [Vrajesh

Hirjee and Sanjay Mishra] are desperately hunting for the diamonds,

while hot headed police office Mayavati Chautala [Neetu Chandra] is on

the prowl looking for offenders of any kind.

Enter the first Laxmi Narayan [Tusshar Kapoor]. He's from a khandani

mafia family and his mother prays that with a few murders under his

belt, he will be settled for life. He's got a final chance to redeem

himself as a Bhai. He comes to Hotel Blue Diamond because he's taken a

supari to bump off Papa.

Enter the second Laxmi Narayan [Suniel Shetty]. He is sent to Hotel

Blue Diamond to collect a new car for his boss from Laila [Sameera

Reddy]. The third Laxmi Narayan [Paresh Rawal] is a hawker who has made

so much money selling under-garments on the footpath that he has set up

a lingerie factory now. His son sends him to Hotel Blue Diamond to

collect lingerie samples from upcoming designer Jiya [Esha Deol].

The three Laxmi Narayans are at the same place, at the same time. They

get letters and photographs meant for the other. The first Laxmi

Narayan gets lingerie designer Jiya's photo and goes to kill her, only

to end up falling in love with her. The second Laxmi Narayan gets

Papa's photo and goes to collect the car from him, only to be mistaken

for a killer and gets beaten black and blue. The third Laxmi Narayan

gets Laila's photo and asks her to show him the under-garments, only to

be branded an old pervert.

Meanwhile, Chandu and Chandni are determined to stop anybody from buying the car where they have hidden the diamonds.

The

most extraordinary performance of this movie is by 'office office' star

Sanjay Mishra who as the side kick of the don, makes you laugh

literally on his every dialog which he delivers in yesteryear villan

jeevan like style. Also Paresh Rawal and suniel shetty has acted pretty

good. Mukesh Tiwari as the don "Papa" shares a great chemistry with his

side kicks and suniel shetty. Though Brijesh Hirji has underperformed

in the movie.

But

as usual Tushhar kapoor, esha deol, sameera reddy, upen patel and

tanisha has acted horribly in the movie and over acts almost in every

scene. Neetu chandra though in her role as haryanvi cop has acted well

for her small part.

The

debutant movie director Ashwani Dheer, who has written the famous

tele-series 'Office-Office' had done a good attempt at the comedy based

on mistaken identity.

Over

all 12 & 3 is a like able, laughable and super funny movie which is

worth watching at least once. so dont rely on the bad reviews everybody

is writing who are trying to be intellectual film critics, go out and

watch the movie and have a good laugh.

Well, I watched one two three tonight and I don't really know what I should write....U must have come to know the plot in earlier reviews n I must say that the story line is good...The cast :

Suneil shetty- Very nice acting

Paresh Rawal - could have done better

Sameera reddy - looking hot

Esha deol n tushar - as usual ( dont know why directors take them)

Upen patel n Taneesha - hopeless

Well, the movie in real terms could not impress me much...N u sumtimes feel that the director could do much more justice to such kind of plot..Some scenes are very hilarious especially the main villian's punters have done a great job. Paresh Raval is good too. The movie had loads of double meaning comedy and it would be real fun for college going gangs. I feel they could have bettered the climax as the movie really raced towards the end. Suniel Shetty has really impressed with the comedy and has come up with one of his best performances ever. Sameera though a bit fat is still hot but the other two actresses are really bad especially esha speaking tamil was really boring.Script was good and some dialogues were too good and they managed to make ppl laugh their hearts out, especially those of Suniel Shetty and the papa(main villian)'s henchmen...Upen and Taneesha were good to be forgotten and its good that they remained almost out of the movie..Some of my friends really liked the movie so I wont say that its a complete no-no....I would just say that the movie cud have been a bit better with a gud star cast..They cud have taken actors like Rajpal yadav..Also, Tushar's mom is pathetic n really over acted alot..It wud be liked by ppl who enjoyed likes of masti, golmaal, dhol and dhamaal...

In all, the movie was so so..It can be watched with friends one time for sure...so, guys who love comedy can go for it without a doubt n those who dont, plz read some more reviews before making ur mind....

Irrelevant, Irrational, Stupid, Rauncy but funny..
Apr 06, 2008 09:43 PM 5051 Views

Lets get a few things clear.

Anyone watching this movie(and for that matter almost any comedy in

India), should be well prepared for the same slapstick humour that we

have been seeing since the days of Johar and Mehmood, IF ANYONE ONE OF

You'll GOING TO SEE A COMEDY EXPECT ANYTHING HALF INTELLIGENT IN AN

Indian COMEDY THAN You'll ARE FOOLS PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

That being said I love such comedies, I'm a simple man with simple

tastes who likes to light movies which are away from reality, (I HAVE

ENOUGH REALITY IN MY LIFE), and those who like movies like Kya Kool

Hain Hum, Masti, will like this movie.

ALSO MAKE NO MISTAKE THIS IS VERY MUCH AN ADULT MOVIE, the jokes are

raunchy and since I went with my family I found myself holding back my

laughter, on a lot of jokes, and almost squirming in some scenes.

That being said lets get to other less relevant things like acting,

music, direction etc.

The music is ordinary almost bordering on bad, this movie could have

done with at least one or two less songs.

Acting was good considering the limited premise that was on offer, THE

ACTORS WHO ACTUALLY SHONE WERE SUPPORTING ACTORS LIKE dmellos yadav aka

papa, and his sidekicks.

Paresh Rawal was really good and slightly different after a long time, i

love the way they played on the fact that most underwear salesman in

India are male.

THE ACTRESSES WERE ANOTHER STORY although neetu did a fine job of

ripping of the endearing FIR, the other 2 were hideous ONE LOOKED LIKE

A MAN AND THE OTHER HAS THE BODY OF A MAN.(one guess as to who was

whom).

Techinically this movie had nothing to speak about.

The movie is filled with lots of good moments especially the double

meaning dialogues and the scenes with Papa and his henchmen.

What really pulls this movie down are the unnecessary songs, the bad

performance by the actresses, the very annoying track with Upen and

Tanisha, a few over the top scenes, and the so so climax.

IN ALL A TYPICAL Indian COMEDY THATS ALMOST ORIGINAL AND GOOD WAY TO

HAVE SOME LIGHT HEARTED FUN IN THE CINEMA.

WITH YOUR FRIENDS.

-s actresses, some over the top scenes, tanisha/upen, songs, climax.

+/-s slapstick, raunchy fun(you like or you hate)?.

+s Papa and his henchmen, Paresh Rawal, almost original, good acting.

total 7/10(factoring in the correct expectations that I had and are a

must, maybe after a few repeated viewing I may actually like this movie

more, but better that good is what I first felt and im sticking to

that).

Laughter Riot – roll and fall laughing in ur chair
Apr 02, 2008 11:19 AM 4754 Views

One two three - Movie Review

After working 60 hours a week, all I expect from a movie is something which can make me laugh and make me enjoy my 3 hours in a movie hall. One two three has been a brilliant Riot of Laughter and I got what I wanted from this movie, 3 HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT AND FUN. I don’t carry my brain to the movie hall, I use it in my office place where it works well for me and if you are looking for a serious plot and a well construed sequence of events, better watch a thriller. This movie is a hilarious riot of laughter and keeps you busy till the end.

I watched this movie, this Sunday evening in Vision Cinemas, Bangalore. PVR was running full house and I didn’t get the tickets for the same. I got the tickets in the morning for the evening show in Vision cinemas. The movie was running house full here too and to top it with, I saw 2 extra chairs being laid down in the hall.

It’s a slapstick comedy by the debutante director Ashwini Dhir. He is an award winning writer of the “office office” fame on TV. This entry into the Big Screen is a well thought of “safe formula” of masala and comedy(of errors) for the entry into the big screen entertainment. Thinking from the perspective of director you would want to break-even in your first movie, you need to ensure the movie has some entertainment value, which this movie does.

The story revolves around 3 people who have the same name: Lakshmi Narayan

1) An amateur wannabe DON(Tusshar Kapoor) supported by her mom, who begs in front DON to give Tusshar a chance to murder someone.

2) An over inquisitive employee in a company(Suniel Shetty) who keeps asking questions(even when the DON is about to kill him).

3) A veteran sales man selling Lingerie(Paresh Rawal) who sells it in his car and can see and tell the size of the UGs that a man or women wears.

The movie runs around these 3 main characters and the comedy of errors starts when these three go to Pondy for respective work and land up in the same hotel and their identities get exchanged as all of them are supposed to get information on reaching the hotel. So ONE wannbe DON on a mission to kill, gets the pic of lingerie designer[Esha Deol]. TWO gets the pic of actual DON, Mukesh Tiwari, (to be murdered) and THREE gets the pic of car dealer [Sameera Reddy].

I am not going to reveal the story or the plot. Better you watch it in the movie hall.

Though here are some pointers:

-Witty one liners(makes you rock n roll in your chairs) coupled with comedy of errors in name.

-Individual notable performances by Suniel Shetty(funny), Paresh Rawal(good as usual) and Tusshar Kapoor(Ok, nothing great).

-Also notable performances by Neetu Chandra(impressive), Vrajesh Hirjee(cool), Sanjay Mishra(rocking as always) and Mukesh Tiwari(Papa - was a good concept), Manoj Pahwa(a lil nonsense one liners but they were funny).

-Unable to impress: Esha Deol, Sameera Reddy, Tanisha, Upen Patel(oh BTW tanisha and upen patel had a full dialogue in the movie, that too in hindi;))

-Music – Title track was good and catchy, though rest of the songs were very OK, I would say the esha deol song was not even required. So nothing great on the music front.

-Interesting was the background music usage, with 1-2-3 running throughout the movie and Bhen Da Takaas theme.(this was funny, watch it to know it)

The screenplay was average and the direction was fair for the 1st time director. A better and tighter control is needed the next time!

The best part was Suniel Shetty’s non stop questioning sequence all around the movie and that is something which keeps your funny bone tickled! And Paresh Rawal’s ingenious acting with his straight face talk about “kachha-baniyan”.

As I said earlier, if you wish to enjoy and laugh for a change, it’s a must watch! Though if you are of those serious kinds who look for a very serious plot and thrill, this is not for you!

One two three or 1 2 3 is the stepping stone for Ashwini Dhir in the cinema and it’s a welcome step is all what I can say!

One Two Three, No more plzzzz !!!!
Mar 31, 2008 01:10 PM 4754 Views

I must admit I had serious expectations from this movie coz of 1 man.. Not Paresh Rawal, No Sunil Shetty or Tusshar Kapoor but Ashwani Dhir (the man who directed one of Ind's most popular & award winning show starring Pankaj Kapur - Office Office ).

The Plot of movie is about mistaken identity of three people. Movie moves around chaos for most of the time. Three people with same name but different work. Case of mistaken identities & reminds me of one of my favs "Angoor".

Movie has 3 Laxminarayans. ie. Laxminarayan, Laxminarayan & Laxminarayan.

Laxminarayan A is Sunil Shetty, who is always speaking or asking questions.

Then we have Laxminarayan B, he is Tushar Kapoor. Tushar Kapoor is a Mafia in the movie who is actually struggling to have his mark in underworld. He has got an assignment to murder inorder to prove himself.  He later on falls in love with a lingerie designer gal ie. Esha Deol, who dreams of marrying a Don.

Laxminarayan C, Paresh Rawal who can just figure out every women's measurement in just 1 glimpse.

All 3 Laxminarayans end up in same hotel and there is drama, confusion & chaos. To make it more there is conspiracy of hidden diamonds. Diamond belongs to a DON (Manoj Pahwa) but somehow Chandu & Chandni find them played by Upen Patel and Tanisha.. (Yes they r in the movie) & hide them in a Car in the showroom where they work.  They have to stop anyone from buying that car. Sameera Reddy plays the role of car salesgirl. We also have Neetu Chandra, playing a role of Haryanavi cop, which's inspired from TV serial but isnt able to match the standards set in serial FIR.

I am hardly able to figure out any good thing in the movie as my point of view. Though still it is just close to time pass but not really a time pass. Ashwani Dhir seemed to ran out of ideas, uses age old jokes & pranks. There are very few funny scenes in the movie.

Tushar Kapoor has nothing new in the movie. . Paresh Rawal is repeatitive. Sunil Shetty underplays his role. Sameera Reddy and Esha Deol are just fine there. Upen Patel should understand that he has to act, its not cat walk on the ramp. Tanisha has a blink n miss role.

Ashwani Dhir did tried best but I he disappointed in the end. Give it a miss !!

Plz have a dekho at Office Office then u may realize why I m so disappointed with Ashwani Dhir.

My rating: 2/5

Cheers !!

Gurpreet Singh.

Another Mindless Comedy
Mar 30, 2008 10:19 AM 5543 Views

In recent times, a lot of comic flicks have released and tickled the funny bone of viewers. One Two Three comes at a time when people have already seen a lot of these mindless comedies and are bored of it. And plus, One Two Three disappoints a bit because of its plot and lackluster script. And that’s where One Two Three fails.

The story of the movie: A diamond belonging to the Don Batlya Bhai (Manoj Pahwa) is stolen by another goonda Papa (Mukesh Tiwari) and his sons Albert (Vrajesh Hirjee) and Pinto (Sanjay Mishra) but it accidentally falls into the hands of Chandu (Upen Patel) and her girlfriend Chandni (Tanishaa). On the other hand, three guys, all three of them named Laxminarayan enter a small town Pondy and are booked in the same hotel-Blue Diamond. Laxminarayan-1 (Tushaar Kapoor) is an upcoming ‘bhai’ and has been sent to Pondy by Batlya Bhai to kill Papa and retrieve the diamond from him. Laxminarayan-2 (Suniel Shetty) has come to buy a vintage car from Laila (Sameera Reddy) for his boss. Laxminarayan-3 (Paresh Rawal), an undergarments seller, has been sent to Pondy by his son to collect lingerie samples from an upcoming designer Jia (Esha Deol). The three Laxminarayans get three letters which are not meant for them but for the other Laxminarayan. Laxminarayan-1 gets the photo of Jiya and thinks that he has to kill her. Laxminarayan-2 gets the photo of Papa sitting in a Maruti car and thinks that he has to buy that Maruti car from Papa for his boss! Laxminarayan-3 gets the photo of Laila wearing lingerie and standing besides the vintage car and thinks that he has to collect lingerie samples from Laila. The three Laxminarayans land up at the wrong place.

The Result:

Laxminarayan-1 doesn’t kill Jiya and falls in love with her

Laxminarayan-2 is beaten by Papa and his sons as they misunderstood him as the killer

Laxminarayan-3 talks something to Laila, which makes Laila think that he is a pervert!

How the misunderstandings get solved is what the climax of this movie is all about.

As you see, the story of the movie is fantastic. The misunderstandings, the ‘bhais’ and diamond-all these make up for a perfect story for a Bollywood comic flick. So full marks to Ashwani Dhir in the writing department. But Ashwani Dheer falters in the script and direction (and Suneil Shetty was bragging that the script is the USP of the movie!). I feel that some talented and experienced director like Priyadarshan, Anees Bazmee or David Dhawan should have directed this flick.

The first half hardly has any funny moments. Even Suniel Shetty’s ‘Left-Right’ trademark dialogues doesn’t manage to evoke laughter after some time. However, it’s the second half which is the saving grace. The second half really has some great funny moments which entertained. The climax was a copy of movies likes Phir Hera Pheri, Golmaal etc. (i.e. many people running after a precious thing) yet it entertains. But the last scene of the movie (diamond gets divided between everyone) was a stupid one. Overall, the movie could have been a better one.

There are a lot of actors in the film, and it’s tough to chose as to who did the best job. Starting with the males in leading roles. Tushaar was good-he did nothing extraordinary. But he doesn’t disappoint also. Paresh Rawal played his part perfectly, but it cannot be counted in one of his most memorable roles. Suniel Shetty was great, though he bored in the middle. However, he was terrific in the climax portion!

Now to the females. The best among them has to be Esha Deol, who gets the maximum scope. She does a better job in the second half. But off late, she has not choosing the right roles and opting for wrong films like this One Two Three. She did a great mistake by rejecting Jannat. I hope her forthcoming flick Hijack is well-made and is successful.

Sameera Reddy was okay-she was better in the last week’s release Race. Neetu Chandra as the Haryanvi cop Inspector Mayawati didn’t have much to do in the movie but she was terrific. Same is for Upen Patel and Tanishaa, who did a fine job but were hardly there in the movie.

The supporting cast also did a great job. The best among them has to be Sanjay Mishra. His accent was damn funny and he deserves a pat on his back for the wonderful job he did in the climax! Mukesh Tiwari also manages to entertain in some scenes. Vrajesh Hirjee was wasted but he was great in the scene when he is pulled into the jeep by Neetu Chandra! Manoj Pahwa’s rhyming dialogues were too good! Murali Sharma gave another wasteful performance, like the one in Sunday. The lady enacting the role of Tushaar’s mom was damn funny. Others were good.

Raghav Sachar’s music was good in only 2 songs-the title track and ‘Rock Mahi’. Cinematography was nothing great.

Ashwani Dhir’s story was fantastic. Even his dialogues and one-lines were witty and hilarious; especially Manoj Pahwa’s rhyming ones. But Ashwani disappointed with his screenplay and direction. The screenplay could have been tighter in order to make the going-on interesting. I hope he has realized his folly and he will be more cautious when directing his second flick.

Some of the funny scenes of the movie:

1.    Tushaar’s mom requesting Batlya Bhai to recruit him in his gang

2.    The three Laxminarayans getting the wrong letter

3.    Laxminarayan-2 at Papa’s place

4.    The chase sequence before the intermission

5.    Tushaar threatening Murali Sharma

6.    Mukesh Tiwari’s attempt to flirt!

7.    The climax

On the whole, One Two Three was an okay entertainer and fails to reach the status of movies like Phir Hera Pheri, Dhamaal, Golmaal etc. The second half and climax were great, which act as the saving grace for the movie.

My rating-** ½

Welcome One Two Three !!!!

Plot: 123 is a film about three characters with the same name Laxmi Narayan. Tushar Kapoor, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal Play these characters. All three of them had to go to a place called Pondy for some work. Tushar to murder someone, Sunil to buy a vintage car and Paresh to meet a lingerie designer.

All of them had thier tickets booked at a hotel called Blue Diamond and all of them were supposed to receive couriers regarding thier work there. Now as we all know . the letters get exchanged and all the three parcels don't reach the intented Laxmi Narayan's. Now the confusions occur and what comes out of this is a comic caper.

The film has been set up very well, and Ashwini Dhir has done a brilliant job in his first movie.

the comedy scenes are brillant and I was almost rolling on the floor every 5 minutes . specially in the scenes involving . hmm later .

Music is not good not bad . not something u ll listen to after the movie is over.

So we srtraway get to the performances

Paresh Rawal - Good job again by him. He plays the Bra Seller well and cracks u up on several occasions.

TUshar Kapoor is Average to Good

Sameera Reddy - WTF is wrong with her. I m not talking about the performance as she never performs but her eye brows . OMG . even Laloo Yadav has thinner eyebrows.

Tanisha is what she usually is.

Esha Deol - HAHAHAHAH LMAOOOOOO. U wanna see how a girl looks more than 70 when she is less than 30? See Esha Deol.

Brajesh Hirjee and Sanjay Mishra are Awesome as Albert and Pinto . Specially Sanjay Misra . Hahaha that man fcuks the laughters out of u every now n then . and his PAA PAAA was just too good!

Mukesh Tiwari is very good again. He is proving to be a versatile actor . He has done some great roles in China Gate, Zameen, apaharan and now does will in comedies too with first Sunday and Now this.

IMO the real star of the show is sunil shetty . OMG cant belive it he has done so well. No scene involving him goes by without actually making u laugh out loud . watch out for him when the don asks him to shoot the bee . overall he is brilliant as a sophisticated Fool.

Upen Patel - Man go back to the place where u came from, we don't need u here. We already have uday chopra, fardeen and zayed.

Over all - A good Entertainer in terms of comedy.

And - I wud really thank sunil for teaching some people on how to dry out thier trousers once trhey pee in it . hahah hand drier?/ LMAOOO WTF

Rating - 3.5/5

Unbearable

I just returned from the show in Adlabs, Noida.

The movie is soo pathetic that we had to come out of hall only after 3 0 mins.

All four  of us tried hard to enjoy it,

to laugh at the smallest of funny scenes. But there is acyually none.

It seems like 5 min copycat scenes from all kinds of mobiles have been stitched

together; and none makes sense with the previous one.

If someone says that the movie is good, he is actually ur enemy. Believe me, this is the worsr movie

in recent times; and I do see lot of movies.

FILLED WITH BAD AND IDIOTIC JOKES EVEN A 8 YR OLD WONT FIND THIS MOVIE FUNNY...ANYWAY I WUD RATE THIS MOVIE 1/2 STAR..

Plot: there is no plot.

Bast watch alone: else see Bindaas channel ad… … ……… …… … … … … ……… … …  …  . . .

. . . . . . . . . …     … ..

One Two Three is a'experimental' out'n' out comedy. Having a total of about 17-20 loose characters which loosen the script more and more as the movie progresses. What I found in the movie is extremely insane jokes, maximum jokes related to sex, and the normal jokes. [considered] are taken out from all the comedy soaps and serials which are telecasted on Indian channels today.

Now, To create an absoslute'Non'- sense making comedy and interweaving a 20 characters to a diamond, Enter three Laxmi Narayans.

#1. Tusshar Kapoor - Who belongs to a explicit bhai background, but is a black dead lame dot on his family's record. His mother always keeps on craving for him to score him a chance of killing someone.

#2. Suniel Shetty - An absolute dud employee. Overunderstanding all the orders and issues passed to him. Always trying to keep the above one happy, with his overefficiency.

#3. Paresh Rawal - A'Corporate' in world of absolutely'Non' sense garments and undergarments.

Somehow, All the three Laxmi Narayan's have to gather at a place called'Blue Diamond. To meet the supari victim, to collect 'THE' car from someone and to meet a lingerie designer respectively. [Kindly omit]. What will happen when the three Laxmi Narayan's get to exchange the photographs of the people whom they have to meet? Helluva fun? Err. NO!

*Direction:

*The director of this movie is the same guy, who gave the award winning comedy serial series'Office Office'. Though, Here he fails upto a certain limit. One thing which he forgot to keep in mind is'In a movie, In 2 hours 20 minutes, You cannot have 25-30 absolutely similar jokes'. This only leads to YAWN! Though, Ashwini Dhir manages to tickle your funny bones with a few clean jokes in the post and pre interval sections. Climax is too predictable. Cinemetography is plain, nothing much to mention about it. Music sucks a big time.

*Performances:

*Most of the performances in the movie are adequate and suit to the character's skin. Tusshar does well, Mukesh Tiwari, Vrijesh Hirjee excel. Suneil Shetty fine but overdone. Upen Patel guest appearance. [I think he had 3 dialouges out of which two were'BHAGO!']. Paresh Rawal disappoints, atleast you don't expect Paresh Rawal selling undergarments at the footpath do you?

Esha Deol and Sameera Reddy are good. Neetu Chandra is fine in'dEsI' accent. Tanisha? Do I have to mention? The show stealers in the movie are the secondary characters, Manoj Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra. Actually the whole Office Office team outperforms!

*Positives:

*The movie is a straight no brainer, you don't need to think. Just watch and digest, to digest more buy a popcorn. The movie has alright performances and just about average direction.

*Negatives:

*Since it was a no brainer, I couldn't say if the plot is believable. Though I'd like to say its plain UNbelievable. Music is a faliure. Number of characters only increase confusion. Comedy is mostly stereotype. Maximum jokes are insane and not worthy. The movie has a plot, but after the first 10 minutes, as soon as to the plot is defined, The story goes home and comes back just 5 minutes before the movie is ending. Climax is highly predictable, confusion, errors. nothing else.

OveraLL^. One Two Three is just an average movie. It doesn't have anything new to offer from its vault. If you still want to watch it, Go with the minimum expectation, and you might like it:), In a word'Avoidable'.

*Thank You

Please rate and comment too;)*

Nature Sao Tome and Principe
Krazzy One Two Three...
Mar 28, 2008 02:50 PM 5514 Views

As the name and promos indicate ONE TWO THREE is a light entertainer to core.  No brain required for the entire 2.30 hours and the film will tickle your ribs for some time.   The movie falls to the Priyadarsan schools of comedy.  But it is different being a hilariously 'mad situational comedy'.

I reached late to theatre by 2 minutes where I was not expecting a huge crowd for this film.  However, to my surprise I have to settle with a last seat in the front row, just in the centre where me and the screen were distant by just 3 meters.  I went to the 8pm show where the 11pm show also booked fully.  So, I can see that people are rushing to theatre to see this light entertainer.  This I will account for lack of good comedies for long, but it will surely bring joy to the producers.

My Commerce department's head's name was Laxmi Narayan where I was wondering why people gave a name called Laxmi to males.   Anyways, with One Two Three, now I know 4 Laxmi Narayans…read further to know how.

Laxmi Narayan 1 (Thushar Kapoor) wish to become a 'bhai'.   To do that he want to prove himself by killing somebody.  His mother is always praying for him to get some good opening with few murders and gives her full support.   He was given a new assignment to kill.   Laxmi Narayan 2 (Suniel Shetty) is working in a company but his doubts keep him as an idiot.  If he is asked to sit, he will ask, on sofa or chair.  If we say on chair he will ask chair on the left side or right side.  If we ask him to get out, he will ask by the right side door or left side door.   The No. 2 was deputed to purchase a car for the boss's wife.    Laxmi Narayan 3 (Paresh Rawal) starts his life by selling undergarments in the street.  With a look he will measure the sizes and by now he is an experienced salesman.  He started a new factory and his son has injected new life to the factory by giving promotions etc.  The father is deputed to finalise a deal to purchase the new model braziers and this bring Laxmi Narayan 3 to the same hotel where One & Two stays in.

Starts the Hungama, in it barge-in Jiya (Esha Deol) who do the designing of braziers,  Laila (Sameera Reddy) who is the owner of car showroom but unsuccessful.   Inspector Mayawati (Neetu Chandra) who's duty is to appear where audience needs a break and give energetic dialogues in witty fashion.   A mockery Don, A Diamond, A lot of confusion and chase…that is One Two Three.

The newcomer Director Ashwani Dheer impress with the comedy.  Witty and brilliantly paced Dialogues are the best part of the film.   The Screenplay writer and Dialogue writer for the much advertised forthcoming film Krazzy4 proves more than a point with One Two Three when it comes to dialogues.  However, the scripting was not that good.  After watching the film I thought the climax before the interval was better than the final climax.  Repeated use of Left or Right by Sunil Shetty was bit irritating and at times even other characters start using the same wit means I thought if I have to exit, whether I should exit from right or left door.  It was mad after a point.  A lot of glamour was injected and a lot of skin is displayed by Sameera Reddy & Co.

Performance by actors were all good, but nothing exceptional.  Paresh Rawal, Tushar Kapoor and Suniel Shetty suited well to the roles assigned to them, Sameera Reddy & Esha Deol were ok.  Neetu Chandra was impressive, but I was wondering what Upen Patel and Tanisha Mukherji doing there.   Manoj Pahwa, Mukesh Tiwari and Vrajesh Hirjee were good but Murali Sharma was wasted in an unnecessary role.  Overall, the director did nothing great to extract the best from the actors.

Camera work was pretty average.   Cinematography was again average in parts, good at some time and quite bad at another time.   In the beginning I was wondering is it because I am watching it from the first row seat.   Choreography was pretty average, except for the seductive number on Sameera Reddy.  Songs falls in the same brand.  So, the entire songs were planned and executed just to relieve audience from the mad race of comedy and they struggle to meet the demand.  Back Ground Music, a considerable factor when it comes to comedies was impressive in certain scenes but not throughout.  Editing could have been better.

Overall, the movie is an above average light entertainer but fall short of the tag 'Good'.  The first half was impressive where the second half was spoiled by repeated jokes which fail to tickle beyond a point.    Go to watch the movie if you are interested to see a mindless comedy which work at times.

My rating 2.5

The trailer of Love Story 2050 was impressive, but for the look of Mumbai in 2050…and for the concept.  Waw!!

1 2 3 - Upcoming Comic Caper on Screen
Mar 27, 2008 12:29 PM 5232 Views

Comedy is always the best formulae for film making in Bollywood. Many bollywood stars has got their name & fame because of their comedy talent. We can recall Saif Ali of DCH or Akshay Kumar in Phir Herapheri, Ritesh Deshmukh and even Govinda with his cheap comedy, they all boosted their career only through comic and stupid roles. And also most of the comedy movies are successful as compared to other subjects.

Now the latest Bollywood buff 'One Two Three' in this sequence is the directorial debut of writer turned director Ashwini Dheer, who has already proved his writing talent with famous comedy serial Office Office(starring Pankaj Kapoor and his comedy crew) for Sab TV for eight years. It is a common saying that "what is there in a name?" but what if chaos & confusion that simple name can create. One Two Three is full of such comedy sequences of three different men sharing a common name 'Laxminarayan'. The story of the movie unfolds when three persons with the same name - Laxminarayan, from different walks of life reach at the same place for their individual jobs meet in a hotel and their lives intertwine which results in loads of madness and comedy.

*Lakshmi Narayan #1 - Tushar Kapoor

*He has the ability to entertain us being a dumb & deaf but in this movie he is perfectly alright. In the story he belongs to a khandani mafia family and his mother prays that he will be settled for life after few murders. After bitching up badly in his early attempts, he has got a final chance to redeem himself as a Bhai. He comes to hotel Blue Diamond after taking supari to kill the Don named Papa(Mukesh Tiwari). He desperately needs to prove his killer instincts this time and as this is the last chance to kill, but he ends up becoming the victim of love.

Lakshmi Narayan #2 - Sunil Shetty

The so-called Macho-Man of Bollywood started his career as an action hero, but slowly tilted to comedy, he is playing the role of another Lakshmi Narayan. He is a nice person who takes pride in being accurate and detailed, doing anything to please his boss, including bearding a Don in his den.  He is an MBA from Darjeeling and lives his professional life by following two simple rules -

1) The boss is always right.

2) If the boss is wrong, follow rule number 1.

*Lakshmi Narayan #3 - Paresh Rawal

The actor who redifined comedy, yes our very own **Babu Bhaiya playing the role of third Laxminarayan in the movie, he was basically a hawker who has made enormous money selling underwear on footpath that he has set up a lingerie factory for his son who sends him to the same Hotel to collect lingerie samples from upcoming designer Jiya(Esha Deol). All the ladies of Delhi will vouch for his uncanny eye - Just one look and be can gauge your innermost measurements. But then he comes across Laila who refuses to show him what he wants and blackmails him instead!

Other important characters played by Esha Deol (Jiya),Sameera Reddy(Laila), Neetu Chandra(Mayavati Chautala) and Upen Patel & Tanisha Mukherjee(Chandu & Chandni).

*Story in Brief:

*Diamonds worth rupees 10 crores are stolen from underworld Don, Papa and accidentally fall in the hands of Chandu and Chandni, who quickly hide them in a car. Papa and his gangmen are desperately hunting for the diamonds while hot headed police officer Mayavati Chautala is on the prowl looking for offenders of any kind. The three Laxmi Narayans are at the same place at the same time waiting for messages at the hotel reception desk and getting letter & photographs meant for the other. Its all a case of not one mistaken identity but three and a crazy bunch of people doing the wrong things for the right reason.

We can enjoy this comedy movie in the coming weekend and refresh ourself for next week.

Thanks for reading this review, Comments Welcome

Akash
