Need For Speed: The Run

Need For Speed is one of Electronic Arts' most popular franchises. Inspite of the series' strict release schedule and EA's corporate meddling, Black Box has tries it's best to keep the series relevant. Need For Speed: The Run was their last attempt before EA took everything away from them, and gave it to some rich kids on the block. It is, although, considered one of THE worst games bearing the NFS moniker, and that makes me think- is that really the case? Did Black Box really lose it, and was their last attempt not enough? Let's just start the engine, amd find out.THE PRESENTATION: The Run runs on EA's Frostbite engine, pun not intended. This is one of the game's biggest problem- Frostbite was an FPS engine, not meant for arcade racers. The engine gave the developers a LOT of problems during development, amd it shows. The game doesn't have well-designed roads, or even well-made models. The environments look really good, but the character models, the details and everything else is just ugly. Black Box though, does everything in it's power to make the game enjoyable. The game still has the Black Box feel, the consistent style and tone that has made it to almost every NFS game. The drowning feels natural, it's very tight highthe races are very diverse and use environmental hazards that come into play- Independence pass, for example. This type of race just defines the way Black Box makes an NFS game. It's like not only the racer is your enemy, but so is the entire level. And the atmosphere, OH MY GOD, THE ATMOSPHERE- it just makes you know the game feel THAT good. The music is also fine, it's not that good, not on the NFS Most Wanted or Carbon levels of good but it's passable, average. So, for me, the presentation is fine so far, it's not great, it has its style.THE GAMEPLAY: That bringsme to the gameplay. Now, NFS: The Run is an Arcade racer and, you know, it's basically a cross country race. So, instead of driving through the city or on very short, dense roads, you're driving on long stretches of road, on highways and such. The gameplay handling model is very tight and it's cool. The cars are not as easy to handle as they would be in a Burnout or some of the older Need for Speed games, and may take some time to getting used to. Time you don't get for reasons I will talk about later. The game is divided into a story mode and the Challenge series. I'll talk about the story later, but as for the Challenge mode, its kinda like in the same as the challenge series in the older NFS games. You complete a set of racing events in specific cars chosen by the game. The challenge is to complete the race, or reach the destination in a short amount of time, so on and so forth. Overall the racing is fine if good, it's could have been better, but it is better than the story.THE STORY: I won't spoil much about the story- it's boring anyway. It's about a racer ont he run from a mob who partakes in a race across the country. It's really short, and rather useless. The concept was good, but it's botched by very bad voice acting, bad cutscenes and a long list of that, in the end, make the script feel like an afterthought. Adding to this is a necessity to add Quick Time Events while not in your car, and yeah, it's nothing to write home about.THE VERDICT: Need for Speed The Run is a good game. Although the story is bad, Frostbite sucks, and there are a lot of bad design decisions, it's worth playing. Seriously, give it a shot.

Racing games have always attracted my attention. I always keep two or more racing games on my laptop or PC, but the game which I like to play the most is none other than Need For Speed: The Run which is the 18th game in the NFS franchise.

I think this game is the best of all the other games in the Need For Speed series. In addition to racing, there is action, challenges, rivalry, cops and other great things.

I liked the concept of the game which is very simple - you just have to beat the best 200 racers of the area in a race across North America from San Francisco to the New York city. The racer who gets there first is rewarded 25 million dollars.

Though the game was released 6 years ago, the graphics and the clarity of the game can overtake even the newest racing games. The layout and the design of the game will always attract you.

You won't get bored even if you completed the career mode of the game as there are many challenges available in the game which tests your skills and helps you to improve them too.

The cut scenes of the game are one of the attracting features of the game. They are too realistic and balanced.

The soundtracks of the game are just awesome. You will enjoy the racing with your speakers on high volume.

So guys, if you haven't played the game till now, go and play it. You will get addicted to it.

According to me need for speed is the best game that I have ever played in my life . this game is from ea sports and frostbite 2. the concept behind this game is amazing .the story line of this game is really interesting which attract gamers to play this game . this game is an ideal game to satisfy all gamers thirst .in this game you dont need to race with your opponents all time there are many things outside the race also you can do, like you can customize your cars, design your cars and etc.the graphics of this game is also amazing making the game the best!i like this game because there is lot of actions in this game which is really enough to satisfy each gamers thirst.according to me this game is the best racing ame that I have ever played in my life . Hi, this review is written regarding to computer racing game- need for speed: the run.Need for speed is best ever racing games series in world. I installed Need for speed: The run game in my Computer on 31 april 2013. I am really impressed by this game. This game has very high graphic quality. EA SPORTS has designed very nice game.Interesting thing about this game is 8 players can play this game at same time, so you can play with group of friends. I like all the challenges in this game.I suggest racing game lovers to go for it.

The best thing about this game is its graphic quality which is very good and which gives you a very rich gaming experience. Along with this the sounds used in this game are also rocking.

Need For Speed the run is not an impressive game because they show their trailer or teaser about and 2 year ago so you have a very curiosity to play this game but but they didn't meet the expectation of gamers because gamer want better graphics yes you can say game play and handling is good but cars are not impressive if game like Need for Speed don't have Bugatti Veyron Koenigsegg Agera like cars so it's a waste according to me because I want these type of cars gameplay is very good and handling is very good of cars but the price tag is so important in gaming and the price of this game is is thousand bucks the story is not good because its excellent this Need for Speed is different from others because another Need for Speed you have to only race from other cars and so on so on So on so on but in this need for speed there is a story which is very good and you like it so if you want a story and something different something curious so you have to buy it and if you want a graphics and better gameplay gameplay good graphic is not good for you want a better graphics and your high resolution gamer so don't buy this game and if you are game play game who loves game play more better than graphics so you have to buy it.!

Just Purchased This Game From Steam And It Is Fabulous.I Liked It More Than Juiced 2:Hot Night Imports.But The Con Is That There Is No Open World But Graphics Are Awesome.If They Had Made Need For Speed:The Run Open World Than This Game Would Be So Much Better.But Still If You Have Not Played Need For Speed: The Run Yet I Highly Recommend You And Remember This Game Is Stage Based If You Don't Like That Kind Of Game Then This Game Might Be Not For You.

This game is amazing graffic quarlity game.Then I tell that is concept. You know which games concept is not clear that is also a difficult game you know .
