I donot find any minus ratting which perfectly fit for this company. So I gave 1 ratting


I bought mediassit policy from my company.


The policy amount was deducted before my sal crediteed.


If you paid and no claim then no issue. However if you tell them to go for cashelss then they will deny by saying this or that hospital is not belongs to network and go for reimbursement claim. The main game plan starts here.


If you go for reimbursement then claim settlement will be a night mare .They will play very chif tech iniue that give us some additonal document . Give indoor case papersGive this paper that papers.They have 1000 of ways to denies any claim sttlement.


Finally policy holder will be frustrated and paid money will be digested by them. Moreover this is a third party brokerage consulancy who does not have any power to settle any claim it Just acts like a broker between insurance claim and corporate worlds. Guys my suggestion is to stay away from this kind of broker and do individual insurance from company like UHC Star health insurnace etc.


If you have black money and try to loot by someone then mediassit or medibuddy is the best platform. thank you

Worst Insurance service they provide.


Its from my personal experience , I will never suggest anyone to choose this Insurance company. They are just fooling us and making money. In return they don't provide the service as expected.


When it comes for medical reimbursementclaims they will just make you run after them in the name of documents. Even though you submit all basic documents, they will keep asking for number of documents so that a person will be frustrated at last and will back out. They think as they are giving the free service.


They will ask for such documents in the name of there rules and policies which is even not mentioned before. Worst experience I had with it for definitely I am going to remove my HIS policies bcz a person does insurance so that it will help in bad times but when the time comes they will make u run after them for months and at the end u will get frustrated . Even though they make so much drama in cashless claim in their network hospitals. Its better instead of paying to such fraud insurance companies , make ur own savings is better .

Hi I had a conflict situation. CRM Ms.Yamuna was very hard working and polite.she understood my situation and I would really appreciate her professionalism towards her commitment. Finally I got my insurance thing got approved with the hospital desk.


Moreover I was not in town.she took a great initiative and got resolved my issue very smoothly.

I had undergone a surgical procedure, the cashless claim has been denied stating oral medication and investigation which utterly disappointing.


Here starts the pathetic experience following up with the most inefficient medi assist call center for TCS employees. Since last 10 days I have called them 20 odd times, spoken to 10 odd representatives and supervisors, no result, no update. I have raised few tickets, no response to those yet.


Most annoying experience every time you will follow up, you will have start it from scratch, after a long hold the call will get disconnected and you start explaining the story from scratch to a new guy. I started remembering the names(Manjula, Arjun, Puja, Vani, Sadique . many more.


end result nothing moves, they give me consolation we will get back to you by tomorrow, nothing has moved. In 21st century, this is how the insurance company taking us for ride. Can somebody suggest any other way we should take up these harassment // this is very unfortunate and pathetic service from medi assist.

I have applied Claim for my father's Cataract Operations through Medi Assist India.


The Claim has been processed & ready for payment since last more than 2 weeks but still the claim is not settled & trying reach the customer service but not proper response or guidance given to me.


Tried to call there customer no. On various numbers

I am a Retired bank Employee, who is forced to have a medi claim facility with mediassist/Medibuddy by IBA. Since I am suffering from Arthritis & Diabetes, I am prescribed medicines by my Physician to be taken on daily basis. I have paid a very high premium of about Rs.82000 to Mediassist for my domiciliary claim of Rs.40000 in a year apart from Doctors fee & annual medical checkup and quarterly blood test. For this I am supposed to fill in an online Claim, which to my dismay is not functioning for past 8 months. I have put in a complaint online & on phone to the Insurers, several times but to no avail. The Company is neither responding or rectifying the computer error.


My submission of claim from August 2018 is pending for submission.


The sanction of claim also takes inordinate time which is ruthless as we have to pay for the medicines & other medical expenses but sanction takes almost 6-9 months.


It is the worst company I have come across, who are quick to increase the premium several folds but do not rectify errors or sanction the claims.


My last Bill submitted in a physical form through my bank-Corporation Bank in Nov 18, is not appearing in the claim section so far. I am not knowing the fate of this claim made by me, which is of earlier claim period.


I hope by posting this on mouthshut, my problem would be addressed by MediAssist

Below is how they work and cheat.


TCS picked the cheap insurance possible for their employees so they can show big profit or there are friends inside who gets benefits as it happens always in India!




  1. They delay asking same question and reduce reply date from 15 days to 7 days even if you respond in 2 days!. Cheating!




  2. They will not provide any details on what they want properly. You have to call them and they will not help and ask you to email!




  3. They will delay by asking same uploaded documents again and again and finally deny.




Never provide expected claim reimbursement

Medi Assist India TPA Pvt. Ltd.(uses portal Medibuddy.in) is one of the largest TPAs in India so it is unavoidable to find insurance policies where Medi Assist is not selected as TPA. I have submitted more than 7 reimbursement claims to Medi Assist TPA in AT 2019 so here is the first hand feedback on my experience.




  1. Medi assist has some predefined SLAs to service the claim(7 days response time) so they provide regular updates on claim processing.




  2. When they receive the claim documents via courier, some ill-trained person(probably a peon) segregates the documents in bills, payment receipts, claim form and ids, investigation reports etc and scans them to upload to a medibuddy portal. 100% of the time segregation done is wrong.




  3. Claim processing team verifies the documents as per segregation and as a result 50% of the queries on my claims were due to wrong segregation. It tells me the expertise level of claim processing team as well. I had to always call them to say that I have already submitted the document and it is located somewhere on medibuddy portal. Personally, I feel it is a matter of shame for Medi Assist that I have to do their job.




  4. Call center wait time is on average 15 mins and their call center team has no medical knowledge. They seemed to be 12th failed and they never allow to directly talk to claim processing team. It feels like talking to a peon to pass on the message to the backend team.




  5. Emails sent to info@mediassistindia.com, retailsupport@mediassistindia.com and delhigrievance@mediassistindia.com are never answered. Only an automated ticket number to get response in 48 hrs is assigned and then forgotten. I have tickets(#5721442, #5721439, #6990874, #7477275) open for more than six months till date.




  6. Medi assist earning and commission are driven by how much less they approved from the claimed amount. So, they will do their best to make deductions. I have experienced deductions such as hospital discount on reimbursement claim(discount to medi assist which I paid to hospital lost Rs 3000), security deposit included in the final payment receipt but without proof(lost Rs 10000 on payment to Apollo hospitals), certain non-medical expenses not mentioned in the IRDA non-medical list(take advantage on customer who lacks knowledge).




  7. Deductions are made only in the final settlement letter and they settled the claim immediately. They do not entertain any feedback or additional documents from customer. So, the claim decision is one way traffic and no customer can challenge it. Only way to challenge is to go directly to the insurance company or log in complaint to IRDA portal which are never entertained.






It is very unfortunate that IRDA has allowed formation of such TPA companies whose sole purpose is to benefit insurance company. They are of insurance companies, for insurance companies and by insurance companies. Retail Customer/Patient voice is not heard anywhere and IRDA is not bothered about it.


I would not be surprised if I hear that Medi assist works hand in hand with some insurance company executives, pays them regular bribes to maintain TPA status and benefits them by keeping reimbursement amount low but meet claim settlement ratio. Anyways, we live in corrupt India.


My tip is to NOT select a retail insurance policy where medi assist is a TPA rather ask your insurance agent to provide an alternative policy.


If it is an offering from the corporate/employer then there is still some chance to put pressure on Medi Assist via company HR as it is a large business contract.

Recently I had admitted in Hospital for severe Brongo pneumonia and the speed in cashless claims settlement was done by the medi assist was superb. Thanks.In future also I recommend the medi assist policy to all my friends.Only draw back is the communication about the steps to follow.

Generally I don't write reviews unless I feel deceived. I was supposed to get the reimbursement of my wife's delivery expenses from Medi Assist because the organization that I worked for had a tie up with Medi Assist. I really regret that the organization I worked for had a tie up with such a deceptive insurance company.I sent the application form with all the information. The representative of Medi Assist, Siva Babu, was the point of contact. After sending the documents, I tried contacting Siva, who seldom attends the call. Finally when I got in touch with him, i was told that some documents were missing. So I went to the hospital, which is far off from my place to get those documents. I scanned and mailed all the documents that he had asked for.I also put him in touch with the hospital to ensure that all documents that were required were present among the scanned copies sent to him. He said it was fine.Later I sent him the hard copies of the documents. But my reimbursement was rejected telling that a document is missing.The interesting thing is that this document that they mentioned as missing was not indicated earlier among the missing documents.


I read another review in mouthshut about Medi Assist from an employee of IBM who said that the insurance company keeps telling one or the other document is missing and will find an excuse to reject the claim.


I truly agree with him. Also, request companies to not have a tie up with such a deceptive insurance company, and offer poor service to their employees. The sad stories of such employees and other victims of Medi Assist are available in many websites including mouthshut and consumer complaints forum.

I am working in ATTRA infotech and I have my family Insurance through Mediassist. Between us and mediassist there is broker name prudent so that from the time we claim for Insurance till we got claim amout, everything should go smooth.


At the time of hospitalization of my father, I opted for cashless, so that we were getting all updates in mobile. Eg they need some clarification or any document is missing etc. At that time there response was very quick.


Post hospitalization, they were very slow. To process the claim, they are taking more than 2 month.


Overall I have mix experience with mediassist.

I had taken an health insurance policy scheme in Medi Assist. I was completely aware of those terms and policy rules. They had taken a long time for reimbursement of the loan.


I had reported about this problem, that they are taking a lot of time to reimbursement to the customer service. But they are unable to understand what I am saying. How can they resolve the problem if they are unaware of their job.


Their plans are not even good. When I want to claim the policy they said that the policy date was expired and all the loot stuff and something they stated to me that they cannot state the claim as it was not upto their terms.


They completely reversed the rules and conditions which I was aware of it as they said before. Bad Attitude of the staff and complete fraud.

I share my bad experience with medi assist India Pvt ltd. When I visit just because I want a health insurance policy then when I say one member that I want a loan then( can you suggest me a loan plan please) they believe me like a servant and rude behaviour I leave the branch immediately and I file a complaint to manager.


I cannot give us to speak that language if there is then I file a complaint to court.


So my experience with my personal opinion that don't visit it very bad behaviour because if there is communication is not better then their is no effective loan cannot be given and also use any other health insurance company such as HDFC insurance company which behave very faithful and truthful manner.

Don't go with medi assist they are fraud. They simply decline you claims and say some stupidity they will take one word or medicin name from you document to decline the claims. They declined almost most of the claims from our organization. After seeing all other reviews I realised they are actually a fraud company and never approve

I am a TCS employee and have been working in TCS now from 3 years. TCS provides many facilities to its employees and I can definitely say that one of the best facility is health insurance scheme which is provided by third party that is Medi Assist.


I have always gave good review to Medi Assist within TCS and I would like to give good review here because I have used the insurance and I am very thankful to them. They provide great Customer service. I have enrolled my parents under me as my beneficiary and it provides insurance for them as well. In the year 2015, my father was admitted in Apollo due to stone in kidney and he was operated as the stone was stuck in pancreas. It cost around 2 lakhs and all the claims were settled without any much hassle by Medi Assist. I only paid 10K. The premium rates that you need to pay is also not very high depending on the Insurance amount. I don't see many amount being cut from my account to pay the premium rate as the range of plans is also good.


During the course my father was admitted, I even had called the Medi assist service staffs and they described me clearly how this claims and settlement works. I am very happy with it. In this fast moving world, you don't get any idea about things which can happen to you, its better to have insurance. I would surely recommend people for Medi Assist any day.:)

Hi Friends, My Medi assist ID is 5018456815. the claim procedure is very simple and also provide application where you can track you claim. I would like to thanks all medi asaist team for there valuable and prompt support. I had foot operation and plate inserted and on that time I was unable to subbmit file but as per my request medi assist staff member ( Mr. Shashikant, chandigarh IT Park) visited at my home to collect my file. Now I am going for another operation for plate removal with full belive on medi assist. Thanks Team.
