This is the top most book of General knowledge by lucent's.As because this cover all the syllabus of competitive exam like rrb, upsc, ca, cs, bank PO, ssc etc.this book contains the topic like history, geography, politics, economics, physics, chemistry, biology, miscellaneous and about computer knowledge. which is vey helpful in the competitive exam.
This book gives us a deep and details konwledge for each topic of each chapter contents. There are many books available in the market but mostly people choose the lucent gk book because people believed in that book.

Today world is full of school, coaching colleges and educational institutions. everywhere you can see the the tag " admission open", but the blink aspect is that satisfactory jobs are so rare and this is the situation making competitive exams tough.so to crack exam one needs good book. I brought 3 books for general knowledge including this Lucent'general knowledge and I found that other books are not better then this. I found other books has not easy language then this.
In this competitive world this book acts like a guiding star for the students. it is available everywhere in book stores. one of the specialty of this book is that it covers almost all the subject which constitutes general knowledge. it is transforming content into career of students. I love to read the history and science sections of this book. these two sections according to me has been properly emphasized . other sections are also good but economics portion has been less worked upon. over all students can bank upon the content of this book.
It is not easy for a common man to remember everything and have all the knowledge. This book is one of the best book for to remember the things which we have lost from our mind with the growing age. Truly speaking this book is completely exam oriented book that helps lot of aspirants for their exams like SSC, Railways and other govt. exam(Not for UPSC). The content of the book is very helpful.The main thing of this book it has a very few mistake when the rest of other gk books have lot. Main points are highlighted by different colour.

I uses Lucents text book which is quite useful but its objective book(hindi version), I came across various miss-printing errors under Answer section.
