I was travelling from Phuket to Delhi and connecting flight was there from Bangalore , as per rules we can carry 1 ltr liquor , no nobody guided us later on the counter they refused me to take it inside cabin , if we buy from duty free we are suppose to carry , moreover they asked me to put inside the buggage but no guarantee of broken . So who will gonna repay , why are these shops open at the airport

I had a very bad experience with Indigo. I was travelling from Delhi to Tirupati via Hyderabad. I reached a bit late(5–10 mins) at Hyderabad airport boarding gate but the gate was still open. I asked them to let me go but they refused. The girl at the counter told me that she will adjust me in the next flight which is in 10 minutes. If I hurry and reach another gate on time, I can make the flight. I immediately ran towards the gate no. she told me. I kept asking around where that gate was but to my shock, when I reached there, I found that it was not a boarding gate but a check-in counter of Indigo. And I was not alone there; there were atleast 6–7 more people arguing with them for the same thing; they had all been refused to board the flight. When I told the staff that I was asked to board the next flight, they told me that the flight has already left and there was no space in it; so it was anyways not possible to board it. That girl made a complete fool out of me just to get me off her back. They told me that only flight I can take is next day. As I saw no other option, I went to the booking counter to buy next days ticket. The girl on that counter refused saying they do not have any space in the next day’s flight. She told me that the girl at boarding gate entered in their system that I had reached the boarding gate 20–25 minutes late which was not true at all. She said that the only option I have is to take the next day’s flight ticket from another airline last minute paying in full and I had to do it. I also had to book a hotel to stay the night. This hit me back with a loss of around 20k. But it didn’t bother these people. The shock was that I was not alone. There were so many people facing the same harassment only by Indigo. While checking in at Delhi airport, I overheard the girl at the counter talking to the girl before me(who was a staff of Indigo). She requested her to give her the jump seat(extra leg room). The girl on the counter replied that the flight is already overbooked and they will have to refuse seat to anyone coming to check in after this. They will just tell them that they are late and so they will not get any seat. I think this is what is exactly going on here. They overbook the flights and then refuse admission to anyone who comes even slightly late(taking benefit of the fact that some people always get late) and then instead of apologizing for overbooking and repay for inconvenience; they harass them and make them suffer monetary and mentally.

Indigo was better earlier, but not now anymore.


They are charging for everything and they simply say it is low cost carrier.


I book a flight for 3 of my family and while doing web checkin, they mandated choosing seats. They will give you only a option of middle seats. So each of your family member have to sit on middle seats of three rows.


The next seats are Paid.


What a pity on Indigo.


You are not allowing a family go together and you are charging for that? Really worst.


I dont know how our Indian govt is allowing these kind of policies or rules.

My flight is delayed, I understand, but I have to sit on floor with no option available for sitting and to wait for my flight is not what I expected and paid for. I am waiting on roadside with no seat availability at airport.


I hope who ever is reading my review can understand my situation.


Team indigo is a brainless child of Rahul Bhatia of InterGlobe Enterprises and Rakesh Gangwal, They should understand how pathetic Indigo services are and hope they do something about it.


I feel like football between local indigo counter at guwahati and Indigo customer care. I also tried to clear the communication gap between both but failed and now sitting in nice hot humid and sweaty weather outside airport.


There is no shed, waiting area, bar or restroom around this area(100 mtr), money is not an issue but nothing is available or Zero Information, no lounge nothing. just tempting hot humid climate and cozy road footpath to wait.


Thank you team Indigo for such a wonderful experience and to make me feel worthless sitting here like a nomad.


I suggest all passenger to carry food, drinks and booz to ease the pain in this kind of situation.


I request Indigo to please grow up to international standards or at least to some standards from Zero.


How indigo is cheating the customers

I had booked Mumbai to Delhi flight on 29/06/18 No.6E 6489. PNR EG4VXM. I had done Web Check in. I entered the CST T1 Mumbai airport, Showed boarding pass, cleared security check, Got it stamped. I moved to the Gate 11, Showed Boarding pass, which was barcode scanned and cleared. I entered the bus. Meanwhile, I Somehow lost my Boarding pass accidentally, while boarding the bus. While entering Aeroplane, I realised that the boarding pass was lost. I informed this incidence to the personnel checking gate pass and letting passengers inside the plane. I showed him the boarding pass Web check in copy with all details. But he refused to allow entry in the plane. I was sure, the boarding pass was lost just where the bus started, but he wouldn't allow me to go and check, neither did he send anybody to check for the same. I tried to convince him saying, how could have I reached the Aeroplane gate without having my boarding pass and without security check! I even told them how important it was for me to board the plane, me being a doctor sent on an urgent deputation. But he and another guy just turned a deaf ear, even after talking to somebody on wireless, they didn't allow me to board the plane. Rather, I was sent back in another jeep back to the entrance of the airport.


There I informed the receptionist about the incidence. She said she will accommodate me in the next flight 6E, but charged me a whopping amount of RS 1500. I again had to go through all the previous steps starting from scratch to board the next plane.


My complaint is, they should have allowed me on the first plane itself, and if that didn't fit their bill, atleast they shouldn't have charged me any extra amount. This is looting the customers! A leading company like Indigo is not expected to cheat their passengers in this way. Such incidence could happen with anyone.


Least I could ask for is My additional amount paid to be refunded back.


It's a long review. Took much time. but I think it was worth

Indigo, as a company has nothing good to offer its passengers apart from a low cost air ticket and a moderately punctual service.


Their staffs dont even care whether their passengers are having problems. Their leg room is soooo small that one may even feel suffocated. Their in - flight food is highly priced. Like seriously, a chicken sandwich for 200 rupees ? 5 cookies for 100 rupees ?


Moreover, their check in luggage carrying capapcity for each passenger is way less than Air India.


They lack business class seats , but have some XL seats which they sell if they are found empty on board. IngiGo buses, which carry passengers till flight stuffs in people as if we are some cattle being transported.


And lastly, how can we forget that incident where 2 indiGo ground staffs beat up a old man while he was boarding the bus.


Don't fly with Indigo

Previous month I went to Mumbai from Kolkata. The service for this flight is very good. I never ever seen this type of quality of flight. Nothing was happening on time. A crew member is not as good as the service. fare is cheap but the service is also cheap. don't fly with Indigo

We are traveling to Singapore on 23 June 2019 via 6E041 from kolkata , all passenger board the flight and flight start for take off , before runway the captain said that there is some problem and need to go back and within 30 minute we will fly , later after one hour , captain said may be we need to change the aircraft and it will take 1 hour to refly, all passenger wait but there is no solution and still we waiting in flight and now is 7:50 am and it’s 2 hour gone but no solution; when aircraft was parked whole night then before start or placing why not check everything , is passenger time don’t have any value , and also we don’t know when we will reach Singapore , due to negligence of indigo technical team , our trip one day going to ruin. So think before taking Indigo for international trip .

I was traveling from Hyderabad to Indore On 3rd June, flight time was 18:05 and I stood in the queue from 17:30 to 21:15.


They postponed flight three times, they didn't even inform us early about the flight delay and they just bluffed us they said they were having climate issues but many Indigo flights flew at that time. Three times they postponed flight time and they informed us so late. they just made passengers to fools three times, first time they postponed flight time to 18:30 but they didn't inform passengers that it was going to delay again before 18: 30. They informed after 18:30 about second time postponed. Passengers were standing continuously in the queue for three hours, it was such a painful experience and they just made us fools. Because of indigo, I missed my transport in Indore, I pre-booked a cab for traveling from Indore Airport to Ratapani. I lost my deposit 3000 INR because of Indigo delay, I reached Indore by 12'0 clock and I couldn't get any transport.


Irresponsible flight

They will live u in Airport and fly away and they don’t mint weather u r standing near by the gate and they never give u a last call or any kind of announcement. U will lose u r money valuable time by using Indigo flight beware the staff is very rude with u they will throw u out from airport and force u to take an another ticket if u missed the flight even u reach u gate too and I don’t have any other option to give 0 star for this airline

I booked a ticket fo today, flight was at 6:40 from bangalore and we reached airport at 5:50 they made us wait and didnt allow to board the flight. It was an emergency and the lady sitting in counter no 29 is very arrogant. I dont know why indigo employee people like this in customer service. Will never opt indigo again. Last time they delayed the flight for more than 2 hours. If the passengers can understand indigo's problem. Why cant they understand customer' s???

I have travelled in this airline more than 8 times. Prize of this flight is very low. This flight is very cheap but facilities of this flight is not good. They don't even give the water to the passengers. They don't give food to the passengers. Passengers pay for their flight tickets, they should be given good facilities. Sometimes pillow is not there on the seat. You will suffer from back ache without pillow, if you seat for the long time on the seat. If you ask for the water crew members don't give. Improve your airline services, at least some facilities should be there in the flight.

PNR BBGQ7F. 2 passengers. From Hyderabad to Bangalore (connecting flight from varanasi) indigo Airlines 6E-527. Passed security Check 1hr before departure. Was waiting at gate 22. Gate number changed which was informed late. Was traveling first time, being unaware of gates took time to reach the new gate no 106. Despite being informed late n reaching early, wasn't allowed to board flight. Told to go to counter n change flight free of cost. But at counter they charged us 3000 n by that time our other flight also took off. Cheap money making trick. Need my money back and compensation for time wasted.

These people are are purely into Money making tricks by cheating customers. You don't get proper response from their support staff. They intentionally waste your time so that you miss your flight and they can charge you extra. I had my connecting flight from Varanasi to Bangalore via Hyderabad and they had their last moment change in Gate no which was not communicated properly and by the time we reached gate we still had 20mins with us but these people refused to allow us to board the flight and forced us to pay extra charges! Big time cheaters! Be ware guys!

I am writing personal experience with Indigo staff at Gorakhpur Airport.


Flight no. 6E-152, date: 11 May, Flight time: 2:15pm.


In that day I am traveling with family, we are 3 so total luggage of check-in or carry comes a littile bit more because of my daughter's gifts, toys, and medicine. when I measuring my luggage it comes to some more weight, I requested her to "there is my daughter's gift and all so it comes more" but that lady in ticket counter name of SAKSHI treat me very badly, my 3 years daughter crying, my wife was nervous, the moment is very bad, and I saw there is no one comes to help, all are simply standing, no humanity saw in that time from INDIGO Staff, at last, I paid extra luggage that SAKSHI madam gave us flight ticket.


INDIGO you can see the video( recording: airport CC camera) on that day from 12 to 1;30 pm, how badly treated from that


ticket counter, this kind of deal with the customer from Indigo staff is not accepted,


it is showing the " Girl Power" or something else?


you have to improve'dealing criteria", we are not coming to see your staff attitude, give some space who travel with kids, handicap, senior people and sick people. try to understand their emotion and weakness.


And give extra training to Indigo staff like SAKSHI. How to deal and speak with a customer.


This kinda problem first time I faced in Indigo Airlines, rest of the service is very satisfied.

I Sunny Agrawal, having worst experience ever fliying with indigo, My flight is from Kuala lumpur on date: 25th may 2019 afternoon 13:50 hours via Banglore, we have already booked 5 hotels in Malaysia and I have my family with me including kids also, and the main problem is with Indigo is that they are changing flight schedule at last moment and flight time is now one day before instead of above mention time, so what about my last night of hotel booking money which will be wasted due to changes in flight timings, and your team also don't give proper response regarding this, so what we do now?

We have not faced this type of issue first time with indigo, before this we planned the trip of turkey and the same problem we had faced and we have cancel that trip because of your worst service we lost almost all the expense, visa expense and travel expenses, so we already lost so much money and we have planned now malaysia trip and this time also we face this issue. can you explain me regarding this what we do now, who is responsible for that expenses, we will never recommend indigo to our customers, we will also upload this complain message on all the social media sources.


I hope some higher authority will look into this matter.

Alert for business travelers!! If U are going to board aircraft with electronic check in ur phone and if you haven’t down loaded before 45 min of plane departure. Or if ur browser gets closed.The indigo system will not allow you to down load it again. I have missed my flight. The kios machine will also not allow you to print your boarding pass. I was delayed at security and had to missed the flight . The staff is also not helpful.. Pls don’t use this airline as this is a bug in there system as they don’t provide you with a attachment down load when you check in online. You will get a mail and it will take u to indigo site every time you want show or see your boarding pass.They don’t think this is there problem as told to me by staff . Indigo guys are you listening you guys have messed my whole evening so you have to compensate.. and also for identifying bug in ur system

Respected Sir, I have booked tickets for myself and my two daughter(8 and 2), Mumbai to Coimbatore on 20th April 19. Due to unavoidable situations we are planning to cancel this ticket and my husband s ticket for May 2nd 2019, same route. However, there is a heavy cancellation charges which is too steep for family of 4 to loose. I also found that the tickets for the same travel is charged quiet high now. So, even if we go ahead and cancel, your airline will only be benefited from selling them at current cost. Request you to Kindly waive the cancellation charges as it will be a big loos of 12K for us. Since your customer support could not help over call, I had written an email seeking ur attn, but from the response I understood it dint reach you. Below is my response to the email to your customer support team again wanting to take ur attention:

The whole reason for taking attn of the CEO in this regard is to save back on the money we might loose on this cancellation, given the situation we are going through. But all that we get n reply is the same answer . This mail was written in the interest of being a very regular Indigo travelling family and expecting Indigo to appreciate the loyalty of a middle class families who choose your airline for their travels and plan well in advance to manage their finance. I wouldn’t have taken the CEO s attn here if we were in a okay situation to forego this money. Even now my mother s ticket is booked only in Indigo for the same travel mentioned. Would request you to take it up and want to know if the response is still same from the CEO too for a loyal customer who is in need of support now. Im in need of this money to book our tickets to Cochin on later dates, If you can redirect this money to that purpose, that is also fine with us since the cost are roar high now to book.


Expecting positive responses to keep up the spirit. To Indiago, we may be just an other loyal family of customers to neglect, but to US it is one of the trusted Airlines to book our tickets and reach places mostly on time without flights cancelled. With Sincere expectations,
