Inalsa Maxie Reviews

A very good product
May 08, 2009 03:44 PM 12372 Views

I have this for more than 2 years now and the product is an amazing example of simple efficient and durable workmanship. Almost no hassles until today except for some small connector hook issue for the taller jar. The motor is excellent, given it's 450 W power consumption. It helps me as I can even run it on my 500W generator backup allowed for the apartments in my complex.

The motor is a literal work horse, having been used almost daily for Atta kneading for the last 2 years. The product has been designed taking care of the smallest practical details.

There were some issues in looking for an additional chutney Jar but then a local make fitted and cost under 200 bucks. All the attachments are for practical use, specially the kneading and the Citrus juicer. A higher version of the product exists by the name of Maxie plus but I never felt the need to upgrade, specially given that it consumes more than 500W and will not run with my generator back-up.

Update.....

4  years now and still going strong, without a single failure or need of any servicing/repairing. It's been kneading atta for us almost daily all this time.

Update.....

6 years and still works great, kneading atta almost everyday for our family. Even if it breaks someday, I want to replace with the exact same model.

Company without service
Dec 13, 2008 03:41 AM 10703 Views

I thought to share my experience with Inalsa as I brought this product 2 years back.

Inalsa Food processor has got a big problem with couplers and motor. Couplers getting damaged very quickly. I have given the food processor for repairing to authorized service station, but they put the duplicate couplers, which got damaged in few days itself. Motor has been brunt 4 times in the span of 4 months. I have written the letter to the company in this regard, but no response from the company. This company doesn't care about customer's complains. They haven't responded to me till now.

This company service person doesn't come, even if you call them many times. I have to ask shop keeper to call them.

My suggestion is stay away the products of this company who doesn't give any service for your money. This product is also not very great.

On my very first use the Main Engaging Gear went free. Model JMD LEGENDSerial No: 611537.Me being a Design Engineer, can easily make out, that at least the Main gear needs Some Positive Engagement with the Motor Shaft. The Motor Shaft and the Top gear shaft are both Cylindrical, So while rotating the Jar is loaded the top gear slips.

They need to incorporate a Flat Step in the motor shaft and an equivalent step in the Gear Cylinder, in order to have a positive engagement. I sincerely hope that my comment is read and some effort is put to rectify this blunder.I have given my machine to the service center, hopefully I get the replacement soon.

The Product also has some other flaws in the Juicer part. The rotating disk (seev) is push fit, self locking. There also it can be converted to a positive lock type.NOTE:A gear-type shaft coupling for connecting shafts in an end-to-end relation, in which there are two hubs mounted on the ends of the shafts and sleeves disposed on the hubs and having internal gearing for meshing with external gearing on the hubs.

A ring overlaps and connects the two sleeves to form a rigid assembly for transmitting torque between the gear teeth of one hub and the gear teeth of the other hub. Bolts or screws extending radially connect the ring and the sleeves and, in several embodiments of the invention, the ring is segmented to permit the ring to be easily assembled in the coupling as the coupling is installed on the drive and driven machinery.

If you people compare it with other processor then you will only find Maharaja as the better option in terms of power  i.e wattage but in terms or services Inalsa takes a lead and is better and one more thing to add if you are planning to go for food processor then prefer a normal mixie  and a juice processor as seperate produsts.

Its for those who wish to do every thing for a machine as its good for a working familiy in which both the husband and wife go for work as it has every thing from chopping to atta maker which makes every food processor handy for the fast moving life, but beware of the duplicates as its a good brand at the same time most of the local duplicates are availabe in the market so go for a branded Inalsa product.this is all bout the prodct tak eit home and enjoy.

Horrid Experience
Oct 30, 2006 06:19 PM 7987 Views

Bought an Inalsa Maxie Plus Food Processor 4 months back and was horrified to find the speed knob was cracking and so was the handle of the main Processor jar. There is no website so one can register a complaint and the local dealers in Lucknow are so useless that they cant seem to explain whats wrong..... Just bring it to us and we will mend it!!???? Why is this happening to such a so called ' Renowned ' company as far as food processors are concerned !!!!!!!!!! My personal advice is that one should think twice before getting ' STUCK ' with an Inalsa !!!!!!!!! High time the company thought about a proper website and proper company representatives to deal with such problems.I have been running from pillar to post trying to get someone to attend to my problem but was told that I would have to take the machine to the store to get it '' Repaired "

This is really wierd!!!!!!!

Was gifted to me in my marriage. The Best gifts one can get. Easy usage and handlling.Shape is very attractive and features are unique. Doughing, Chirping Cutting, mincing and butter extraction is possible with in seconds. recommend this to all household ladies who are working as well, as iti s time saving and easy to handle. washing is eas and it is maintenance free. wrking on teh product is really easy. although the juicer is little bit difficult to operate and that too the citric one. would recommend if company could solve the issue of juicer extraction for it is very cumersome in case of lemon, mausmi, orange etc.Was gifted to me in my marriage. The Best gifts one can get. Easy usage and handlling.Shape is very attractive and features are unique. Spares and service not available

I bought inalsa maxie a few years back. after listening to a review on bbc rating it as the best in

efficiency . and speaking frankly i am satisfied with its working but regarding its after sales

service which is zero , iam quite disappointed . both the jars that came along with the processor needed to

be replaced, but I could not find the original jars anywhere even in a city like hyderabad.iam using

some duplicate jars but they are not durable and need frequent repairs. it makes me frustrated. I

would not recommend this product to any one. as the saying goes-if aproduct is good we may tell

only a few people, but if it is bad we tell a lot of people. I was under the impression that the product

is no more available and that is why the company doesnot care about service. but it seems it is still

available. and all the prospective costumers about the fact that the company doesnot offer after

sales and spares.

Does what it promises
Feb 03, 2006 01:11 PM 9156 Views

I bought the inalsa maxie a few months back. I had heard about these food processors being very fragile and they don’t do what the promise. Inalsa does what it promises.. I have done the following activities easily with it.

  1. Making ice golas.

  2. Shredding carrots to make halwa.

  3. Kneading flour.

  4. Carrot juice.

  5. Keenu juice.

  6. Milk shakes.

  7. Grinding spices

It has been one of the good investments in recent times. One suggestion for people buying it is to place the food processor on non slippery mats (available in malls or home furnishing stores). As when you are taking out carrot juice etc and use the centrifugal juicer the stability of the machine is important else it starts to make noise and vibrate badly.

The person came to he house to explain abut the juicer very soon. The service looks to be OK.

Kenwood FP

Hi I have been using the Kenwood FP for quite some time now. It is very reliable. It has a lot of features. I was told by others that FP are not of use (from someone who had been using Maharaja FP). But having used Kenwood in UK, I bought the same here in Chennai.

It is an excellent product. And that too earlier it used to occupy a lot of space, now they have combined the juicer unit along with the grinder section which saves a lot of space.

The price is also quite nominal around Rs 6000. It is really an worth buy. I recommend it to all.

Just am yet to get information on the service centre for Kenwood in Chennai.

Very reliable food processor
Jun 17, 2005 10:04 AM 18107 Views

I have been using the Inalsa Maxie food processor for the last 4 years and believe me, it has been one big reason why I enjoy cooking. It has been four years and the processor has given me no trouble at all. Not even once has it failed or stopped working. No parts have been replaced and no servicing has been done. This is quite a feat for the reliability of the product.

Though we (me and my wife) have not used all the features that it provides in terms of cutting all kinds of vegetables, but what we know for sure is that it is very-very good in preparing the dough for chapatis/paratha/poori. Just by simple calculations of how much water to add and when, it is able to get you the right dough - in no time. Then we've used its chopper to chop onions and cabbage kind of things. The mixer has been used a lot of time for usual purposes. However we have not used the juicer a lot. But one thing is clear - the juicer is not as effective as the ones that you see in juice-shops. It wastes a lot of fruit as pulp and so the effective juice per quantity of the juice is pretty less.

We really enjoy the benefits and efficiency that this processor brings to the kitchen.

None the less, the machine is very easy to use and is completely hassle-free. We have bought 5 Inalsa Maxie since then - for parents and relatives. And none have had any complaints. That goes a long way in proving the reliability of this strong machine.

The machine comes with enough jars and blades to provide so many features of a complete food processor. Though I have not measured its power consumption, but I am sure that it is not at all alarming, since we use it almost daily for something or the other and our electricity bills have never been high (a total bill of 1000 bucks for two months with all the appliances in a home does mean that nothing is hogging power).

All in all it is a wonderful appliance to make a place for in your kitchen. Moreover, its cream color makes it look clean too.

Missing items !
Apr 21, 2005 11:11 AM 8148 Views

I got a Inalsa Maxie DX model as a gift from my bunch of freinds on my marriage on 30th of January. 2005. I always had a very good feeling about the products of Inalsa as one of my relatives, but all my faith was taken aback. I opened the box just a month ago to find that a some attachments were missing as mentioned in booklet.

Moreover the product has a very poor booklet which does not explain very basic features even. The booklet assumes cleary that you have already bought the things and thus you need to learn on your own.

The illustrations in the book must be very good as they are required to be used by common people and not by trained engineers.

Another problem faced was vibration of the equipment while doing some hard jobs.

But overall the product performance is very good. It's quite robust and work horse.

Requires little attention.
