I myself think Himesh is  a good composer. He is not the only one...there are plenty more out there and I commend each and every one of them. Himesh has just been one such figure who has been able to come out of his shell and do the unthinkable. Musician, singer, teacher, now...soon to be actor ? himesh we love you all keep rocking & keep giving us lovley songs to hear.

A peaceful night in Mumbai. The silence is so thick you can literally cut it with a knife, a stillness so absolute, it encomapasses a lot more than tranquility. The ideal setting for me to unwind with a good book. But suddenly, a voice cuts through the air: it isn't a cry for help, it isn't a wail uttered in distress.....its apnaHimesh belting out his nasal renditions at full blast. Unnnnnnnnnnnnnnghhhnnnnnnn........ he goes, thinking that his extra loud and downright obnoxious voice endears him to listeners. Mr. Himesh Reshammiya, let me tell you, you are under a misconception: you are simply a royal pain in the neck sometimes!! Let's take a look at the life, style and andaaz of nasal paingiver, Hmesh reshamiya:

SO FROM WHERE DID HIS CAREER BEGIN??

Himesh Reshamiya made his debut as a msuic director in the Salman Khan starrer Banhdan. Himesh seems to have gotten along very well with the bare chested Khan, and still considers him to be his mentor and friend. With Tere Naam becoming a big musical sensation, Himesh's career seemed to be heading the right way, with generous comments by critics and an increasing mass popularity. Then he went ahead and sang for Aashk Banaya Aaapne, choosing a nasal twang to give his songs a different feel. The conclusion? Himesh was an overnight success and he was considered to be the enxt big thing in terms of singing.

THE GOLDEN PERIOD

After the stup[enduous and somewhat baffling success of Aashik Banaya Aapne, Himesh went on to compose and sing tons of other similar songs.....all of which were greedily lapped by an eager public yearning for his distinctive tone.

His trademark studdle and base ball cap became a fashion statement and even the way he held the mike became a statement. He was ruling the roost and demolishing any sorts of competition. But then, all good things come to an end and an overdose of simialr songs left the public disillusioned. Soon, he went from icon to so-last-year and lost out in the popularity stakes, what with the hip college crowd deciding unanimously to hate him.

THE JOURNEY SINCE THEN

The accusations have been many: the public dislike the similarity that all his songs post Aap Ka Surror have, the critics blast him for using monotones in singing and the produces complain that Himesh has an inflated ego. Himesh ahs carried on his barrage of rubbish and has released more than a hundred songs in less than 18 months, a fantastically high figure. Surprisingly, most of his songs have gone on to become commercial successes, and in the end Himnesh Reshamiya still laughs all the way to the bank!

Now, you have this really really SAD attempt by Himesh to prove himself as an actor in his own film, based around his enigmatic love story. Who the hell is interested in his private affairs anyway?? Sorry Himesh, you have completely lost hte plot now. Return to composing songs and abstan from singing.

But to give credit where it is due: Himesh started a whole new genre of music, and sometimes succeeded in amking his song memorable. For example, using ther strictly commercial ploy of losing the girl in every music video puts him into instant public recall and other antics ensure that he is never too far away from the limelight.

He has gone so far as to conduct a global tour for a whopping Rs 10 crore.....a ridiculouskly high amount. He's given us good songs in the past, he simply needs to tweak out hsi weaknesses (read: nasal overtones used monotonosly) and concentrate on giving a better all round balance to his musical scores. Till that happens, I HATE YOU HIMESH RESHAMIYA! You are almost as bad as Ekta Kapoor;)

CONCLUSION: In a country starved of rock stars, even a disturbing gnawy singer like Himesh can go on to become a musical sensation. You want great msuic and a great voice: head to a ceratin SSouth American lady named Shakira......

THANK YOU FOR READING. DO RRC!

You tell me...which song comes to your mind first when the bedazzling star's name 'Himesh Reshammiya's' name is mentioned ? : A.) AASHIQ BANAYA...AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE

OR B.) OODLI..CHUNARRIYA..TERE NAAM KI

Obviously, it is a biased question and obviously 99% of us would answer "A". Now, why is that such a Rocking Personality has all of a sudden noticed by masses and masses of audiences nationwide ? Because he stepped up the plated and started singing ? May we need be reminded that there were plenty of films he composed before the classic Aashiq Banaya Aapne ? Here is a list of music Mr. Reshammiya has composed from his intro song "OODLI CHUNARIYA" from PYAAR KIYA TO DARNA KYA up until post production films (COURTESY OF IMDB.COM)

... aka Hera Pheri 2 (India: Hindi title) Anjaane: The Unkown (2006) (as Himesh Reshmmiya) Ek Dhun Banaras Kee (2006)

... aka Banaras: A Mystic Love Story (India: English title) Shaadi Se Pehle (2006) Aksar (2006) 36 China Town (2006) Tom, Dick, and Harry (2006) Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005) Kyon Ki (2005) Koi Aap Sa (2005) Aashiq Banaya Aapne: Love Takes Over (2005) Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? (2005) Yakeen (2005) Silsiilay (2005) Main Aisa Hi Hoon (2005) Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye (2005) Nigehbaan: The Third Eye (2005) Blackmail (2005) Insaan (2005) Vaada (2005) Dil Maange More!!! (2004) Aitraaz (2004) Shukriya: Till Death Do Us Apart (2004) Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha (2004) Taarzan: The Wonder Car (2004) Julie (2004) Bardaasht (2004) Tum: A Dangerous Obsession (2004) Zameen (2003) Footpath (2003) (song "Soorat Pe Teri Pyaar Aaye") Tere Naam (2003) Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne (2003)

... aka Captured by You (International: English title) Chalo Ishq Ladaaye (2002) Humraaz (2002) Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002) Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa (2002) Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya (2001) Jodi No.1 (2001) Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye (2000) Kurukshetra (2000) Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge (2000)

Hello Brother (1999) Bandhan (1998) Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) (song "Odh Li Chunariya")

As one can see, at least half of his films composed thus far have been before his major success. Indeed one needs that in their career in order to go the the next level. However, films like Humraaz, Churaliya Hain Tumne, Yeh Hain Jalwa, and the amazing Tere Naam were huge hits at a time.

"Aap Ki Khashish" and "Aashiq Banaya" allowed a new era of music to be brought into the Bollywood industry- an era of Himesh !

It is a plus that directors today personally ask Himesh to compose one or two songs just to get a couple of audience members to stay at the theatre during the film (i.e. Rocky et al). Reviews on shows such as Asian Variety Show ask viewers of a certain like (i.e. Dil Diya Hain) and each time the same response was given: " I SAW THE FILM BECAUSE OF THE SONGS OF HIMESH"

Films are lacking the 'filmy' and adding the music touch. Himesh is allowing directors to look outside of the box and create cash flows in the box office all because of his melodious tunes.

So what is the problem ? Clubs have a more variety of music. Teenagers are raving and dancing to every tune. Kids on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa are singing his songs. The idea of Himesh in the Indian society is ideal for many reasons as I just stated above. Children of all ages are getting more and more motivated to do something with themselves and play that violin a bit more and enhance on their singing. Think. in the United States there are an average of 500 high schools per state. At least 400 of those schools must have some form of a music program including band, orchestra, chorale, and so forth. And statistics have been given that 99% of high school students enrolled in the National Honor Society have some affiliation with music. That is just in the United States itself.

With people like Himesh showing the utmost compassion in music, this allows the children of tomorrow to follow their dreams, follow their hearts, and most of all...have fun ! I do not mean this for musicians...this could be for anyone, a medical student, a lawyer, an emloyee for Starbucks..you get my point. It is important in life to have drive and passion in what you do. Afterall, if there is no passion, then what fun is it ?

Himesh has allowed a new meaning of music in the Bollywood music to be defined. His involvement in the industry (including being a judge on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005) has been outstanding. Not to mention opening a school of music in London and giving opportunities to kids adds up. Look at his Aap Ka Suroor World Tour...runner up Vinit (from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005) and Himani went on this tour. Kids who were just on a show are now on a Wolrd Tour ?! Not often is such an opportune given to kids. But after seeing this, this allows children to get up, do what makes them happy, sing a few tunes and keep working at it. Look at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa LiL Champs...more voters and viewers and contestants were involved than ever before. The word is being spread and we need people like Himesh to keep that much alive.

I myself think Himesh is a good composer. He is not the only one...there are plenty more out there and I commend each and every one of them. Himesh has just been one such figure who has been able to come out of his shell and do the unthinkable. Musician, singer, teacher, now...soon to be actor ?

Thank you Himesh...for we have missed Kishore Kumar...and now you have shown us that Kishore Kumars are still out there today !

Reshammiya intends to opening music schools
Oct 20, 2006 04:03 PM 4421 Views

Himesh Reshammiya has yet another ace up his sleeve. The singer will be opening his own music schools all over the country. Confirming the news, Himesh says, "I'm opening a hi-tech music school to be called Himesh Reshammiya School Of Music all over the country, starting from Mumbai, Delhi, Madras and Kolkata. There will be two centers in each town. It's a very huge project. The interiors will be done by Italian architects who are being roped in for their expertise.

I want to change the face of music schools in this country." With this school, Himesh wants to make music accessible to the young and old in terms with what they are comfortable with. "So far we have had music schools associated with guru shishya. With my school I intend to do away with make the process of music learning friendly rather than forbidding," says Himesh. Himesh wants both the amateur and the professional musician to have an equal place in the school. "The important thing is to get people interested in music as a career option.

The students could range from six to 60, but the bottom line is that I want music to be made both fun and meditative. Music schools in our country are dingy and depressive. I want this school to become like shopping mall or a multiplex where people can relax." After his extension plans in the country, Himesh intends to open schools outside India too. "In Phase 2 we will take it to the non-metro centers. I intend developing a syllabus which incorporates different genres of music.

My school will endeavour to bring forth the best talent to the film industry.

I want to bridge the gap between trained classic musicians and popular cinema." Excited at the prospect of encouraging new talent, Himesh says, "I guess it's payback time for me. Whatever I've gained from music I want to pass on to the young generations. I had such little guidance when I was starting out. Now I want youngsters to get the opportunities I didn't."

Himesh Exposed!!! (All facts about him....here)
Aug 16, 2006 03:16 PM 8845 Views

Let us appreciate and criticize him by checking all facts about him!

Born on 23 July 1973 and introduced in the industry by Salman Khan for whom he has already composed in 11 movies. Himesh Reshammiya is the musician singer who is getting the same response which R.D.Burman used to get in his days. Coincidence is his father Vipinbhai Reshammiya who is a veteran Gujrathi Music director had been with R.D.Burman as his ace musician for years.

Audience divided 50%-50%

He loves to experiment with his voice and with his music too.

-> Thats why there is a 180 degree difference in the music of Tere Naam and Aksar or any recent movies.

-> Thats why there is a 180 degree difference in his voice in Ashiq Banaya title track and Mohabbat ki guzarish-Aksar specially when he sings the lines in the later one

Aksar dil tujhe ...yaad karta hai yaar...

MUSIC He learned that the new generation GEN-Y prefers catchy numbers. They will not listen to Dil kya kare by kishore but the same one by Shaan...they will not listen toh Ek Ajnabee by Kishore but by K.K

minus the generation GEN-X (the gen I belong to) which still love the original too.

VOICE He learned that people are fed up with Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan kinda voices while they are enjoying Mann ki lagan-Paap, Allah ke Bande-Aisa bhi hota hai, Tujhe dekh dekh-Kalyug.

These tracks were having a very unconventional voice may be more of Pakistani Sufi kinda songs.

Observations :-

I remember in one of his interview Himesh had said that before coming to the industry he had already composed 10,000 tunes.

Observation 1:-

The work will be faster and the music director will be able to release 20-25 movies in a year.

But there are chances that some of the songs will be base less. It will end anywhere.

Eg .

Bardaasht Nahin karsakta from Hamraaz

Its just ends at Tere bin (and then) its Aye aa oo....aye aa oo

Observations 2 :-

Mind well if a tune is precomposed and then lyrics have to be fit the tunes will be catchy but the lyrics wont suit it and the lyricist will often have to repeat some words.

eg.

Tera tera tera surooor

Naam hai tera teranaam hai tera tera

Kitne armaan armaan armaan

Ahista AhistaAhista Ahista

Ek baar aaja aaja aaja

Junoon Junoon Junoon Junoon

Ghoomar rey Ghoomar rey

Ae meri meri meri Johra Jabeen

Phir phir phir phir hera pheri

Zara jhoom jhoom zara jhoom jhoom

Ishq kiya kiya Ishq piya piya rey

Jab Jab Jab Jab dil mileypyar ke ho naye silsiley

Laga laga laga relaga prem rog

...or you pick any song and you will understand what I say.Thats Himesh's patent!

Observation 3:-

Mind well if a tune is precomposed many of the times the lyricist has to forcefully use English words

24/7 I think of you.

Jaaniya dil se mila le dil...just chill

I wanna spend my rest of life with u ....o sanam

Because I love you

Lets Rock

All day all night mujhe yaad sataye teri ..etc

Conclusion:-

The only fault of this guy is the kind of repetition in his music but I stand by him. Cause initially the same has been said by even a.r.Rahman and before you say something I agree Himesh is no a.r. Rahman.

50% cases the producers will come and say Himess jee please make one aashiq banaya aapne for me...please make Jhalak dikhlaaja for me.

Rest 50% case Himesh will think when its bringing in money why to change. When good music directors like Jatin Lalit and Viju shah are without work why to say NO

For Critics:-

As far as his singing is concerned they critics who say he sings from his nose are the same people who appreciated HIMESH which also bagged him the nations biggest Award:- THE FILMFARE not for music but for SINGING.

For Fans:-

Himesh should actually take a small break. Just change his style of music and come back with a bang as if you see the list below you will see there are so many hits in his goodie bag and this man has not even sold 1000 tunes out of his 10,000 from his stock.

Strasbourg France
Original track of indian song
Jul 30, 2006 01:07 AM 2904 Views

Hi I was wondering from what western track has the song 'dil de diya' from Phir Hera Pheri taken. I am no big fan of Himesh as I live in France and rarely hear about him but it would be great if somebody could tell me the western track as I have been looking for it for some time now. Thank you. Continue the great work. It's good to have so many different comments about what this guy does. So anybody recommanding me to see some of the movies he directed or is it not worthwhile as he is a bad singer? Is he the MD of KRISHH? I've heard that the music was ok but have not listened to it yet.

It's the first time I came on this page. I'll try coming more often to be kept up to date. The only problem I've been having is that sometimes I don't understand the abreviations that you people use. I guess I came by too late to fit in.

Thanks again to whoever may get answer to my search and Thanks for reading the post.

Himesh Rocks!
Jul 23, 2006 08:23 AM 5119 Views

So all you readers of Captain Charisma must’ve already read the title and if you are one of Himesh’s critics, then I’m sorry, coz there’s no place for your negative feelings to be supported in this review. For all those fans of Himesh’s rocking music, this is the review that highlights this multi-talented artist’s biggest achievements and offers support to Himesh so that he can go forward and create more and more magic with his music!

Basically, as I had read, Himesh decided to give tribute to the legendary late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s brand of music. That’s what led Himesh to singing and initially it was supposed to be a once-only deal from the music director who was on the rise anyways after TERE NAAM. With room for experimentation, the talented music director turned singer for two songs in AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE. The rest, as they say, is history. Or let’s say, Himesh created HISTORY! Now I know the opinions are always varying and okay, they have a consideration too. I mean there were those who said he had nasal voice; there were those who doubted his versatility; there were those who said he is a temporary craze; and then there were those who refused to consider him a singer too. Okay, for all the Himesh critics, the opinions are fine. But what can someone, anyone, do about facts!

Now let’s consider the facts. Himesh created HISTORY when he became:

1) First music director to win a best singer award

2) First singer to win a filmfare award for his first ever song

3) First music director to give 10 hit albums within around a quarter of a year

4) First singer to sing around 30 hit songs within quarter of a year

Now those are some facts one needs to consider before criticizing Himesh. Let’s analyze the opinions (negative ones) one by one. If Himesh is nasal, then why would a critical minded jury select him for the best singer award on an award function as major as Filmfare. If he is not versatile, then how come his songs work with people from every age. Given that his songs might sound the same at times, but that’s because of his distinct voice that leaves his stamp on every song. Thinking about that part optimistically, that can be called as an asset when one’s voice is so easily distinguishable. That’s originality right there folks. If he was a temporary craze, then why didn’t his music fade out after the initial period of success and why did it continue to rule the charts all the way. If you don’t consider him a singer after all, then all I can say is that you are somewhat a victim of frustration on how one artist can go so much on top so quickly.

I mean there might be other reasons too, and I don’t mean to offend anyone. So even if you can’t stop talking negatively about this musical genius, then it’s fine...at least you are talking about him. As someone once said, "It’s all about making an impact in showbiz, whether it be positive or negative makes little difference." Now if you think my facts are incorrect, then let me provide support for that part too:

Not only did Himesh win the filmfare, he won the best singer award on almost all major award functions, and yes, he was the first music director to do so let alone a debutant singer. Now to verify the sales report. Yes, 10 hit albums: AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE, AKSAR, AAPKA SUROOR (private), HUMKO DEEWANA KAR GAYE, 36 CHINA TOWN, TOM DICK and HARRY, SHAADI SE PEHLE, PHIR HERA PHERI, CHUP CHUP KE, ROCKY, DIL DIYA HAI, etc. Also, with at least two or three hits per album (in some cases like ABA, AKSAR, AKS,36CT,TDH, DDH, it is all songs that are hit), the facts have been proven too.

Many people even hate him due to his bias as a mentor in popular talent hunt SA RE GA MA PA Challenge 2005. Even I disagreed with his bias on that show, but the fact is that he was there to support a 17-year old kid become a singer, and even though I know he was doing way too much for an amateurish (Vinit Singh), it seemed as if his intention was only to help Vinit make a career in music.

Also, as India’s first ever rock star, Himesh’s personality deserves points as he has his own unique way of making music: his filmi music comes out with a promotional music video featuring him at times too. Let’s take the instance of HUMKO DEEWANA KAR GAYE, where Anu Malik’s music failed to generate too much collections. Himesh was needed to create a world-class song that overshadowed the rest of the album. Anu Malik was probably punished for being over-confident while Himesh once again proved his dependability.

Even though Himesh added one more rival to his ever-growing list, he emerged a winner with his trade-mark left on the movie’s music. In fact not only does Himesh's music increase musical collections, but even collection of movies such as 36 CHINA TOWN that have done decent business due to mostly Himesh's rocking music. As far as his private album is concerned, one can just count the hit numbers and find out the never-ending talent of Himesh. Most of all, he brings in really beautiful girls in his videos, which makes the videos unmissable for me.

So I am a Himesh fan because I know he never disappoints in any aspect, at least as far as I am concerned. It is true that Himesh can’t sing in the smooth voice of Shaan or Sonu Nigam or Kunal, but as I said, every artist has their own way of presenting and Himesh’s presentation is very very commendable as well. Considering how tirelessly he works as he considers music his life, his efforts need to be acknowledged as not only does he compose and sing in almost every other movie that comes out these days, but he also came out with one of the best private albums in recent times. Not to mention how many shows and appearances he might be invited to.

Hey, I am thinking of becoming a Music Director and a singer as well. So what if I do not know to play any musical instruments. What if I do not have that vocal chord. Although its true that I am in no way related to music accept that I enjoy playing it on my computer, I am really inspired by the overnight fame Himesh has achieved. Seems that all you got to do to become a (in)famous music director and singer is that you got to eat a lot of ice cream and then when all your nose and throats are choked, you got to sing some poor lyrics none better than the nursery rhimes, then you got to add some catch beats to it and then you got to torchure the public by advertising it. Boommm.. you are done. Thats the shortest way to popularity and prosperity. Well, atleast Himesh seems to have taken the same way.

And kudos to the janta who is so frustrated that they do not fail to make a overnight hype about somebody or something who is a even a little different no matter in what way is it different. So, pack up your bags all Sonu Nigams and Udit Narayans and Abhijeets and A R Rehmans and Jatin Lalits and leave the scene because the all time great singer and music composer Himesh is here, just like a bolt from the blue.

Himesh has wisely targetted the young senseless college going chaps and party animals freaking around with Music Players plugged into their ears and having no bloody sense of music. They just want some Stomping beats and thats what Himesh gives them coupled with his cacophonous voice.

All his fans, please let me know if you find something new in his songs than the previous ones. He is height of monotony and cacophony. His music does not even share enemity with melody. May Kishoreda and Rafi Saab rest in peace and may Himesh's noise pollution never disturb their soul.

His music is so short lived and not at all hummable (unless you have severe cold). Its gets burried somewhere deep down the memory pile even before it breathes. And believe me, its just a matter some more time. Let few more Xerox albums by this 'good for nothing' so called composer and singer arrive or wait for somebody else with some different genre pop up in the picture and he will soon be defiled. After that, Himesh will be a 'Blink and Miss' phenomenon in the history of bollywood. Thanks to these 24/7 music channels otherwise his work could have had a timely death.

However, although I feel that Himesh is bad, rather worse, but there is no denial to the fact that the public's taste is worst.

Good directors and composers have always shown, time and again that even a dance number can have some sensible lyrics and some kind of melody. Himesh... please, its a sincere request, either you improve or you quit and spare us......

Good luck with you career Himesh...

Log unka majak kyo urate hai ?mujhe to bahut aache lagate hai himesh. unke saare gane mujhe pasand hai. log bolate hai kee vo naak se gate hai, to kya hua? gaane to saare aache hee hai unke, sab chalte bhi hai , khoob bikate bhe hai. saare masti vaale gane hote hai, main to khoob dance karta hoon unke saare gano mein.

log kahete hai ki unke gaane ek tarah ke hote hai, par aadmi ek hai to gaane bhi ek tarah ke hi honge na ? sab ka apna apna tarika hota hai gana ka aur music dene ka. aap isi ke bhi ganne sunoge bahut saare to usame music director kee zhalak to miligi na apko.

mere sare dosto ko unke gaane pasand hai. mujhe aksar, aashiq babaya aapne, tom dick harry, aahsita aahista ke gaane bahut aache lagate hai. mere paas sabki cd bhi hai, main unhe roj sunata hoon aur uchal uchal ke naachata hoon, mujhe bara aacha lagata hai.

haan unko acting nahi aati, dance bhi nahi aata ,unko apne video mein nahi aana chahiye jyada, aur agar aaye to unko apni ddarhi katavani chahiye pahale aur vo topi kyo pehanate hai, vo ganje to nahi hai fir kyo pehanate hai topi? maine unka phot dekha hai pahale ka - bina daarhi aur topi, vo bahut aache dikhate hai bina unke. vo ganje bhi nahi hai , isliye topi bhi nahi pehanai chahiye..

baki sab aacha hai, mujhe to bahut pasand hai himesh. kisi ko unse bina vagah jalana nahi chahiye, agar pasand nahi hai to na sune vo gaane, par kisi ka maajak nahi urana chahiye...

Hats off …err…… ‘Caps off’ Himesh!
Jul 18, 2006 12:13 PM 4335 Views

I was walking along SM Street … was a very noisy evening…and I was hearing some catchy notes from an audio shop… then Himesh’s crooning (shouting?) “Dil ki swarg deewaron pe …… Naam hai tera tera….”!

Weeks later, back home…. I heard my cousin’s 7-year old boy singing “tera tera tera surrooo…ooo…ooor…….”!

I was wondering how his singing- cum -slogan shouting becomes such popular even in our south India! What is the mantra that this “toppykaaran” chants while singing?

( That seven year old calls Himesh ‘toppykaaran’ or thaadi kaaran = ‘toppywaala’ or thaadi waala).

When I heard his earlier songs like nikamma kiya, chura liya hai tumne and songs of Tere Naam, I felt just another Nikhil-Vinay or Sajid- Wajid who blindly follows the song patterns of Nadeem Shravan and Jatin Lalit. And I didn’t even dream such a makeover for Himesh Reshammiya. ‘Aashiq banaaya aapne(remix)’ sounded really good and the rhythm was captivating …I really liked the song and thought that it was an accident. But this guy continued to make such songs and their videos reminded us that of aashiq banaaya. The promotional remix cult started by “Woh lamhen” (Jal \Zeher\ Anu Malik) became the monopoly of Himesh . Now other musicians like Pritam follow his path.

What makes him different?

His ’mukhdaa’s. Once heard, one cannot easily forget the opening lines of his songs. He makes them so catchy that they stay on your mind for a long time. Forget about the antaras or the rest. You can clearly remember the opening tune of each of his songs. This is an unmatched achievement. One may say that he is too repetitive but still you are going to hum his new song. Even when I hate some of his songs, I used to hum them. Then I say …oh I was humming that topy kaaran’s song, which I don’t like!

Whether it is aashiq banaaya , aapki kashish, tera surroor, nam hai tera, teri yaad na aaye , jhalak dikhlaaja , zikr karen ,zara jhoom jhoom or the latest afsaana banaake ,ishq kiya and aey meri tamanna…. all the tunes are captivating.

What is wrong?

Himesh Reshmmiya definitely has the ability to package his songs well and that is the primary skill required by a popular musician. But he aims only at the market and that makes him repetitive. Thus Himesh gave bakwaz songs like “I love you unconditionally”, “Allah kare” and “hum ko deewana kar gaye”.

He should try to find more rhythms, new voices and different tunes. (like what he did in Chup chupke) Then he will be loved and remembered for a long time unlike Viju Shah who rocked the nation by Guptand then locked himself in his own cove.

I like……to hum these songs ….

1.aashiq banaaya aapne(remix) (Film: Ashiq Banaya Aapne)

2.afsana banaake bhool na jana…(Film: Dil diya hai)

3.tumhi se yeh dil mera karta hai kyun itna pyaar (this is a different song from Himesh . Film: Chup chupke .Singers : Vijay Yesudas and Shreya Ghosal )

4.mausam hai bada qaatil (another good song from Chup chupke . Singer : Sonu Nigam)

5.aey meri tamanna , bin tere kahin na aaye mujhe sukoon (Film : Rocky . I like only these two lines and hate the rest)

  1. tum dil mein shaheed hue ahista ahista… (I like this song for its lyrics and that immense agony in the tune)

7.jhalak dikhlaaja (remix) (Film : Aksar …very rhythmic)

8.loot jayenge( Film: Aksar .very nice with Kunal Ganjawala’s voice)

9.shub-e-firaq hain (Film: Chup chupke)

10.tu yaad na aaye aisa koee din nahin (from album ‘Aapka surroor’)

11.tu hi tu hai meri manzil(Film : Aksar)

Himesh is not only a musician but also a good actor. See him crying in the video of ‘tu yaad na aaye’ .Very natural.

So….

Himesh Reshammiya is really a phenomenon in the Hindi film music scene… whether it is good or bad, that will be decided by time.

Simply Awful!!!!
Jul 11, 2006 06:52 PM 2359 Views

I personally feel Himesh is nothing but an attention seeking music composer(if u call him one in the 1st place.). He has nothing to show except for some pathetically composed so called albums embellished with Mr.nasal crooning till your eardrum threaten to tear apart. He must listen to old time melodies of Kishoreda and others and learn from them what the exact meaning of music is.Now don't think I am old fashioned and can appreciate only good old hindi songs. I too have a collection of new hindi sings my favourite being jhankaar beats. But Himesh Reshammiya is absolutely the limit. His nasal singing is particularly unbearable. I would rather listen to his contemporaries like Lucky ali , sonu, udit and others anyday. What do you say friends. His recent album aap ka suroor is absolutely in the pits and simply nonsensical. His compositions in Movies leaves a lot to be desired . Enough said ---go away himesh!!!

SInce this is my first review I request you guys to suggest any ways of improving my reviews in future. Thank you friends !!!

The enchanting tale of the musical nose.
Jul 11, 2006 02:49 PM 2562 Views

I can sing.I say this only to emphasize just how pained I am when I hear Mr Reshamiya sing. Now,he has broken all records in selling his albums. But why does he never appear without his standard get-up of baseball cap, leather jacket and two day stubble. Why does this immensely talented musician insist on singing.Through his handsome nose at that.He is a wonderful, exciting composer. Why his telly serials were unqualified successes. Why,o,why did this gentleman of gentleman decide to become a performer. Its difficult, very difficult to be successful as a singer over long periods of time. And I am quite sure that the talented Mr Reshamiya realises this much better than I do.And what about an artiste's unspoken commitment to excellence.Surely "Jhalak Dikhlaja..." and "Tera Suroor..." are not temporal classics.Mr Reshamiya should sing but he must be selective.Because,if he isn't they will make fun of him like another Shabbir Kumar.A good singer but never a great one.It takes not only talent to become a singer which Mr Reshamiya has in plenty. But also needed are long periods of practice and loads of perseverence.Surely,in his wisdom Himesh realises that.A few other things. Is Himesh like bald? Why does he always wear this flashy cap.And does his voice defy gravity and move upwards. Why,o why does he hold the mike above his pretty head when he does his sepulchral oo-oo-oo-oo.Himesh Reshamiya for the sake of good music please don't sing!!!

TV ruler, Ab Bas!!
Jul 08, 2006 03:01 AM 2890 Views

I jus ON my TV and hear him sing the oooo,oooo,oooooo.......... So I change the channel and find him on another channel crying on the shoulders of his girlfriend or was it his girlfriend?? Man he rules the TV! No one ever has done this feat but thanks to Himesh!

So what about other singers? well they are singing their own songs........

Abhijeet sings "Main Rahoon, Na Rahoon, per usko Bahar Kar Do!

Shaan Sings "Tanha Dil...................Doonde Tumhe Phir Kyon Nazar!!

So these are some of the singers who are just left out to sing emotional songs!

I used to see sare re ga ma pa..... where he was the judge, all of a sudden he came on TV's singing the forcefull nose driven songs! I thought maybe he would back off with one song but still hungry and came back singing some more songs that were deeply emotional (for him!) but foot tapping for us!

I still feel that Himesh won't back off for atleast one year, he is dominating the whole music industry! Take note of what he has to his benefit....... his album of course and the movie songs which is his life and not to forget music direction!

POPULARITY:

He started singing jus one year back and is already famous! That's one thing of him that i'am totally flattered! His popularity with the public is unexplainable and unbelievable! No singer acclaimed fame this early and Himesh can proudly say that he is first!

But what about mimicry? It's now common like his songs! I hope u see MTV, and u know cyrus, yeah the two cyrus! So he's become part of the show! The channel's that portrey his character have been increasing and so Himesh has to go red in the face and quit his singing!

This guy has to make one thing clear, what about other singers? Does he care about them being in the dark when he sings merrily! well we will know it in a few months......

So a few questions surface......

when will we sigh relief? Of course after getting all his songs off the TV!

when will he quit? Better ask him!

Himesh has many fans and we get atleast one of his songs to our lips everyday. But not anymore, atleast for me, I don't know about others!

I have said here too many negatives and i'am sorry coz i'am sick of him! I think he can change his vocal a little and do different kind of songs and I don't think he might lose his popularity if he changes his trademark voice!

If u liked my review then u can rate my review with any of the options given below

Leave ur comments as well!

Thank U! :-)

Chal Bollywood se nikla jaa!!!!!!!!!

All you Himesh Reshammiya fans, this is going to be hard on your minds (well, maybe not as hard as he's on my ears though!). So, sabse pehle, one big SORRY as long as his (un)spectacular nasal stretches which - what a surprise!!!! - are there in just about every song he's sung and composed! But my views are my views and I cannot change them just because everybody in town seems to like this guy. But yes, if there was some surgery to 'rectify' my ears so that I could 'appreciate' his music, I would actually do that.

I will keep this short and snappy. If you're looking for 'the life and times of Himesh Reshammiya', please read those reviews with four or five stars generously awarded to this composer. I'll contest his claims to fame point-by-point. If you find them acceptable, most delighted to get some company in the lonely 'non-Reshammiya fan' world. If not, go ahead and give this whatever rating helps you to release your anger at me. This is my space and those are your buttons.

THE ROCKSTAR'S EMPTY CLAIMS TO FAME

1.The rockstar labelling: To quote Roger Waters, "I gotta admit.... I'm a bit confused!" Hey, I never knew "Ek baar aaja aaaja aaja aaja aaaunnnnja" was rock, man! I never knew that nasal love-making was the way for Indian adolescents to unleash the rebel within. The problem is compounded by the fact that firstly, this labelling is self-styled. The media never anointed him rockstar voluntarily. He loves to call himself rockstar and say "Let's rock!". Atleast, that was the name of his gharana in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. I can hear Ozzy Osbourne wailing,"Everything around you, what's it coming to?" After all, if he had known it was so easy for a rockstar to chart highly and yet "rock", he would have never had to chomp and swallow dead bats on stage, right? The second aspect is that you, Reshammiya's dearest fan, would have never heard of or care to know who Roger Waters or Ozzy Ozbourne are. So you, who has never heard genuine rock music, are dead sure you are listening to the greatest rockstar on Earth (Poor Uday Benegal! He didn't deserve this. Not even best in India? Pooh Pooh!). But hey, these firangi fellas I mentioned here, for all their extreme eccentricity, were brilliant musicians and never compromised on their art even with the censorship threat dangling around their necks. If you care to hear me out, Roger Waters recently performed in Israel, demanding the demolition of the wall separating Palestine from Israel. And he's now past 60. I do not think Reshammiya would dare perform at the Wagah Border demanding PoK back from Pakistan even now in the height of his youth and power. As for compromise, compromise is synonymous with Himesh Reshammiya. Mixing any sort of melodies, chords and beats will do to dump it on the masses.

2.Versatility: Himeshji, yeh to limit cross kar raha hai. Please let me know 10 genuine, purely musical points of distinction between Ashiq banayaand Ek baar aaja aaja and I will accept that he's genuinely versatile. Any change of sound from one song to another is probably attributable to hsi jukebox. He updates it all the time, ek dam up-to-date hain apna Himeshji. All the latest Arabic and Western pop music you wanted to listen but could not afford, just listen to Himesh Reshammiya. I don't need to substantiate this. In a newspaper interview, he went so far as to suggest that Arabic was the latest flavour in Bollywood. If you still can't read between the lines, no wonder you like his music so much!

3.Singing ability: If you were delighted at Reshammiya's composing abilities, when he started singing, you had to just go bang your head against the wall (relax with joy, yaar! It doesn't hurt anymore, thank you!). Yes, this is truly the most 'innovative' aspect of his music. He has broken the golden rule - sing with your mouth. No, he's all set for an entry in the Guiness book of records - the most successful singer to sing with the nose. I wonder what Shankar Mahadevan and K K Menon will tell participants in Fame Gurukul this time around.

Shankar: Sumitji, aap bahut achcha gaate hain. Lekin appki aavaaj mein jo nasal quality nazar aa raha hain, us par aapko work karne ki zaroorat hain.

Sumit: Main aapki baat se bilkul sehmat hoon, lekin aajkal ke gaayak to naak se gaakar naam kamaate hain. Kya main bhi rockstar nahin ban sakta?

K K Menon: Grrrrr damn that.......

Manav Gohil: K K aap kuch keh rahe...

K K: Nahin, nahin, kuch nahin, maine kuch kaha hi nahin, kehne ke liye kya reh gaya hain?

4.Mass appeal: I cannot argue with facts. The fact is this guy has tremendous mass appeal. I don't listen to his songs, they are thrust on me at tea stalls, restaurants, saloons, just everywhere on the street. No, it is his untold underlying contention that this is the way to appeal to the masses. At great risk of being hurled with a fresh deluge of bricks, I suggest that while the masses may not able to tell good music from not-so-good to the same extent as more discerning music lovers, they certainly do appreciate good music. If good music had no place in Bollywood, at least 90s and Y2K Bollywood, then AR Rahman would have been the biggest loser composer today. Next after him - Shankar Ehsaan Loy. On the contrary, they have enjoyed tremendous commercial success and at the same time, critical acclaim too. To say that people cannot appreciate a certain kind of music, so we have to dumb down, is a lazy composer's lament. Not a lament - it's an excuse behind which is hidden a lack of genius as composer. I'm not questioning his knowledge of music, but everybody who knows a lot about music need not necessarily be a great composer. And that may be Reshammiya's problem. But to blame it on audience's tastes is just cruel. These people are propping you up with their whole-hearted patronage and this is what you give them in return. Come on, make some seriously interesting music, man!

Now, I save the best for last. I appreciate one aspect of this guy - his guts. He had the guts to go and pull it off with his mediocre talent. He was not scared of what people would say. He went there and did what best he could and left it to the audience to decide - bouquets or brickbats, he took them all gladly. But his success is a wake-up call for the music industry more than anything. If he could become the talk of town, it clearly means people have almost forgotten what good Hindi music sounds like. They're having to make-do with what they get, comfortable in the knowledge that their pals are in the same boat as theirs.

Before I sign off, another BIG sorry for torturing you on a nice weekend with this write-up. But you are free to express your views about this and also Himeshji with no inhibition. These were my fifty cents to the task of piercing yet another bubble of hype!

Himesh Reshammiya - an Aural Assault!
Jun 18, 2006 01:05 AM 3461 Views

Halleluiah!! I just discovered Himesh Reshammiya!!!

You might wonder which planet I‘ve been living on, since the rest of the world seems to be divided into ‘those who love Himesh’ and ‘those who love to hate him,’ but then I don’t watch TV or listen to Hindi music unless it’s courtesy my darling daughter, and so missed out on the pleasure of making his acquaintance till she came home for the hols.

When my darling daughter saw this sensation and heard him singing ‘Jhalak Dhiklaja’ on some music channel, she immediately pouted and declared “Ma, I must have” and of course, being a doting mother, I got her the music she wanted. I’ve heard him sing this masterpiece at least a couple of hundred times (again thanks to my darling daughter) in the last two months (why, he’s playing on my comp for the 232nd time even as I write this!), and have heard too many of his other songs since then too.

Now, I’m no music snob. My playing of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata can bring tears (of joy, I hope) to your eyes, but I can also climb onto the nearest table and belt out “Dailamo dailamo’ with the best of them. So after careful consideration of what's good about his music, and what his music is good for, here’s my verdict-Himesh Reshammiya must be heard by every single music lover on this earth.

Wait up, hold onto that rope – don’t get ready to lynch me yet. I have my reasons for saying what I just said, and hey, who knows, maybe by the end of this, you will agree with me too.

1 – Consistency. You know exactly what you are going to get, even before you tear the plastic wrapper off the cassette/CD! Enough has been written about the importance of consistency. The success of Advertising, Science, IT, etc., depends on it’s ability to repeat a formula and get the same results every time, so why not music? Everybody, from Freud to Dr.Spock, talks about how critical consistency is - it teaches a person about boundaries and limits. Himesh has learnt this lesson well. He knows what he is good at-throwing a handful of catchy beats together and presenting them the listener in his curiously Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan-like voice (well, at least in HR's opinion)- and gives it to us again, and again, and again, and (sigh!) again. Look at the way his music flies off the shelves - Kill innovation, viva sameness!

2 – Teaches you appreciation for truly good music. In these days of ‘best played at ear-drum splitting decibels’ westernised beats, how many of you will voluntarily reach for a Naushaad Ali or a Madan Mohan on a regular day? And after listening to Himesh and his ilk, how many of your have had your eyes opened to how beautiful those oldies’ music actually is? I personally have embraced the music of Ravel, M.S.Subbulakshmi and even Jeff Healy, with renewed fervour. Yes, Himesh definitely has his place in a music lover’s cabinet.

3 – He is symbolic of dumb luck.Do you dream of your place in the spotlight, your 15 minutes of fame, and your name on everybody’s lips (or growled through their gritted teeth as it can sometimes be)? Does your singing shake your bathroom tiles loose, and drive your neighbours to despair or to the nearest pharmacy for some cotton wool and Calmpose? Do you ever despair of making it? Don’t give up hope. Listen to Himesh. What does he have in his bag of musical goodies? If he, with a nasal voice, a couple of plagiarised beats (listen to JLo and you will find out where that screechy instrumentation in Jhalak Diklaja has been lifted from), and some dumb luck could succeed, there’s no reason why you can’t.

4 – Guilty pleasures. We all need them- Tubs of ice cream quickly eaten in the dead of night, risqué magazines hidden under the mattress for fear of their falling into the wrong hands, Govinda movies to guffaw at- everybody needs their pressure releases in this crazy world, and if Himesh Reshammiya's music is the guilty pleasure flavour of the day, more power to him!

And finally

5 -Practicality. What kind of music, my friend, will you listen to when you have to move that body in the gym and who will you dance to when you go out partying on a Saturday night- SD Burman, Pink Floyd, or some ugly musician playing what sounds like a dirge, on an obscure instrument? Face it; we need those pounding beats stabbing urgently into our consciousness, to numb our sense of music appreciation and to get our bodies moving.

Bring on your albums buddy- they serve to raise the spirits (even if quite literally) and make the party more exciting. Long live Himesh Reshammiya!

Looks like I over-estimated my ability to 'do sarcasm,' and apologise for the resulting confusion. Here's the synopsis of this review in plain English.

1 - Once the novelty of Himesh's music wears off, it sounds maddeningly 'same' - Music is not maths that one has to stick to same formula over and over again!

2 - Listening to HR's repetitive beats allows one to truly appreciate the genuis of musical greats whom one might have taken for granted earlier.

3 - Don't lose hope - If someone like this, with minimal talent, could make it big, anyone can.

4 - Most people do at least one thing they wouldn't want to be caught doing. HR's music gives them one more option to choose from.

Finally, and there's no sarcasm when I say this

5 - One does need a snappy beat to dance to - HR provides it.

So if I don't care all that much for his music why am I recommending it? (Sorry Sweets Desire, I'm going to have to break your heart on this one!) Because just as one needs darkness, sorrow and the occassional bouts of illness to appreciate sunshine, joy and good health, so does one need this kind of music to appreciate the truly good stuff that is so easily taken for granted otherwise.

Even after all the tweaks and editing, it does seem like this review is still only about as clear as mud - Sorry dear reader, I've done my best. However, I have changed the rating and recommendation, to minimise the confusion I seem to have created.

Peace!

What Makes Himesh Reshammiya Click
Jun 04, 2006 10:27 PM 5088 Views

What makes Himesh Reshammiya Click? OR Himesh Reshammiya The Success Story

Yesterday I was traveling, I got to listen to “Dil Vich“ a good song that was being aired by a FM station. The beats were so catchy that I picked up the song so fast it stuck in my mouth. Instantly I could identify it was Himesh Reshammiya’s composition from the film Chup Chup Ke.

Himesh Reshammiya is the hit machine now a days, people say anything he touches turns into gold. He is one of the most demanded artists in bollywood. He and his songs are so popular that producers make him appear in their film’s music videos, mainly promotional. Before doing music he had produced nearly 15 hundred hours of programs for Zee TV. His music career began about a decade ago in 1998 when he composed the title song for “Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya” which was a hit then. Two years later he got his first solo film “Dulhan Hum le Jayenge” and he caught the fancy of the industry. With “Humraaz” and “Kya Dil Ne Kahaa” in 2002 he gained some popularity as the songs of the two movies climbed the charts quite fast. Recently it is reported that he has given twenty five straight hits, he has around fifty films under his belt till date.

Be it FM stations, be it TV charts both pop and film song his compositions appear at the top spot. He is enjoying maximum air play in FM stations. A small child to an old man everyone is humming his songs. I want to ask WHY? The answer is quite simple; the man himself admits that he puts lots of effort to make his compositions catchy, which easily stick to the listener’s brain by listening to it once. His instrumentation is also very unique and easily liked by an average listener. His mesmerizing beats make almost all his compositions mass appealing and captivate the audience. For instance in “Jhalak Dikhlaja” from Aksar the tune of shehnai is very well supported by the rhythmic beats.

Not only as a composer and music director Reshammiya has grown to be a very good singer, let’s rephrase it as very popular. He shocked everyone by singing the biggest single of 2005 the title track of “Aashiq Banaya Aapne”. He was able to bag best playback singer Filmfare award for that song. Many people argue that his nasal twang is edgy to the ear drums, but he defended himself in an interview that even the great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali had a nasal voice but people liked him. He even stressed, it is all due to his overwhelming success he has got. But he expressed all this in a polite manner. Though some people have even termed him as noise pollution I don’t agree with that statement.

After a rocking year 2005, this year’s first two quarter have been icing on the cake for Himesh. In January this firm believer of god released his solo pop album named “Aap Ka Suroor” with two cds one the album other it’s remix and unplugged versions. It became a massive hit as his films. From the starting of 2006 he has been single handedly ruling both the film songs and the pop charts with hit after hit. A fact I want to put light on is that Reshammiya is a big hit not only by himself. He has a great DJ by his side named Akbar Sami. Another man he treats as his brother is his music video director Prashant Chadda, who makes great videos for Himesh. Akbar Sami is the man behind almost all the remixes of Himesh’s tunes that have topped the charts and have made people dance in pubs and dance clubs. Be it “Aashiq Banaya Aapne Remix”, many songs of his album “Aap Ka Suroor- Remix and Unplugged” or the recent “Dil Vich Remix” or “Shabe Firaq Remix” DJ Akbar Sami has uplifted the place of Himesh Reshammiya from a hit music director to a super duper hit music director. Himesh can skillfully calculate the need and the demands of the masses so he is able to provide great songs and in my analysis even greater remixes are provided by the DJ which makes the songs bigger hits. Short, fast, with loud dancing beats and packed with even more craving official remixes are great. The trend now in his albums is that he has just 6 songs, remix of all songs and even some unplugged versions in some albums.

Another point people pick out from Reshammiya’s songs is that all of them sound very same. He can only give youthful songs with rocking beats that last for a month and they are forgotten. His nasal twang is unbearable with always sufi type singing at high scale. Some people even criticize on his dressing style. For these people I would like to point out that Himesh gave the music of Tere Naam which is the best seller in ten years breaking all records. With soulful songs like “Kitna Pyar” in Banaras and the controversially popular “Tum Sanson Mein” of Humko Deewana Kargaye he has proved his singing is versatile, he can sing other genres than sufi. He has proved his versatility as a music director with films like “Banaras” and “Tere Naam”. He always tells that he is a music composer first then only a singer. Exclusively singing to his tunes he once stated that Himesh the music director decides if Himesh the singer should be used or not. As for his dressing sense, its not required to wear a jeans jacket, or coat in this hot season. It will be a treat to watch when he takes his cap off.

With upbeat, musical maestro we have more to satisfy our ears with this year and coming year as well. The man is amongst the busiest music composes in Bollywood today, who has given a string of hit albums not only songs. In 2006 we can listen to “Aahista Aahista” whose promos have started airing from May end, “Benaam”, ‘Milenge Milenge”, “Good Boy, Bad Boy”, “Apne”, “Dil Diya Hai”, “Rocky” and others. In 2007 we will get a chance to enchant our ears with films like “Dharam-Veer”, “Anamika” and others by Himesh’s music and may be his voice as well. Everyone has his or her taste of music, if you don’t like Resammiya, his music or his style I have no negative response for that. But let’s all pray that Himesh will remain the untouchable king of bollywood’s music scene and give us more beautiful and foot tapping numbers to hum to.

!! Haunted !!

Dear friends,

Just if you happened to visit IndiaFM.com or to watch StarNews.com, oh sorry, I mean just * News, you would find that our Himesh bhai’s music is haunted. ’Ek Baar Aaja Aaja Aaja’, the line is used to call spirits, and in some remote villages of the country, people singing this track near a well or a graveyard are being possessed by evil spirits, as the lyrics ’Jhalak Dikhlaja..., combined with Himesh’s rendition catches the ear of our dear ghosts and the dead man awakens listening to him. Scary, isn’t it? Naah!

So basically the point I’m trying to drive home is that if a ’Jhalak Dikhlaja’ can cause this much trouble, what harm would you expect other songs of this man’s repertoire to cause? Let’s find out! Whether it will make sense or not, I have no clue. But read on and remember, what I’m gonna write is surely scary. Darna Zaroori Hai..

Story 1: Himesh walking all alone in a forest having an influence of bluish-green light all over. The night-insects make the dozing sound which Himesh’s ears can no longer tolerate. An evil bird flies above his head which frightens him a great deal. Just at the moment, Himesh sees an abandoned mansion at a very distant place and decides to take shelter therein. Upon reaching the bungalow, the doors open automatically and all he can see in the room are some old photographs of the persons who used to live there some 2000 years ago. As soon as he enters the mansion, the doors close, automatically again, and his track echoes in the background - Teri Yaad Yaad Teri Yaad Yaad.. Himesh tries to open the door and when unable to, he screams for help, but to no avail. Just then, all lights of the bungalow start flickering and finally get off. The room Himesh is in becomes pitch-dark.

But its here where the actual story begins. Himesh can sight smoke being blown all around in the room he is trapped in. Perhaps under the impression that he is possessed by a supernatural being, he plots to get rid of it. In full Himsh style, he goes on.. Oooooooooooooo huzooooooooooooor... tera teraa teraaaaa surrooooooooooooooorr... His plan does succeed to an extent, and all the bad effect that he had been observing, stops. The moment is filled with silence and for a while, nothing could be seen or heard. The moment becomes more intense as Himesh witnesses a black spot right in front of his eyes. Suddenly, a ray of light passes through that smoky room and falls on a photo-frame. The photo is the album cover of Himesh’s album ’AAP KA SURROOR’ (displayed in pic). In the background, just 3 words go on and on continuously.. Naam hai tera tera naam hai tera tera naam hai tera tera.... Himesh faints. Police goes to the mansion next day and finds nothing. Investigation is still on.

Story 2: After excessive workload, Himesh walks back home. While walking, he unintentionally steps on nimbu-mirchi that someone might have thrown on the way. Ironically, at the time he stepped on it, he was singing his own creation - Mohabbat Hai Mirchi Sanam. Still not knowing about it, he returns home and sleeps. Mid-night, he is awakened by a strange sound coming from near his balcony, behind which is located a graveyard. On looking at that, he notices that the sound comes from one grave which can be distinctly seen and is shining. Afraid, he retires to sleep but not for long. The sound gets even more louder and he is disturbed. And now, though the grave is far away, it is reflected in his mirror. Drawing the window curtains doesn’t help. All of a sudden, he feels a sudden push and hears, in a ghostly voice, a song being played - I wanna make love to you... Rock me baby.. kiss me baby..

Himesh’s backbone still, he demands the witch to reveal her identity. In slow motion, another song is played in the background.. Tum Saanson mein.. tum dhadkan mein.. utar gaye.. humko deewana.... Himesh puts both his hands on his ears and it looks like he is trying to recall something from the past, making inane and squirky faces that would even frighten the ghost. Again, the witch, with a very thin and nasal voice, sings in Himesh’s tune.. All Day All Night Mujhe Yaad Sataye Terri... Himesh now remembers everything. The witch was his pre-life counterpart, and the two together had looted many Vicks Inhalers. Himesh is happy to see her and for the first time in his life, smiles. He catches her hand and starts dancing to his latest sensation Shabe Firaaq Hai, the lyrics of which only he understands. But here is a twist in the tale. For the next two days, he was not to be traced anywhere. As he had smiled that night, it is now assumed that he too is... DEAD !

So all you Himesh haters, Zara Jhoom Jhoom Zara Jhoom Jhoom Zara Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom...

Story 3: March 23, 2007. Himesh is in a car, going for yet another award function where he has 3 nominations of 5 for the best music director, and 2/5 for Playback Singer (Male, I guess!) On his way, he meets a pretty gal wanting a lift. Seeing in her a probable face for his new video, he gives her one. In the stereo of his car is playing his own creation Aa Aa Aashiqui Mein Teri.. Tuuuuuuuu meri jannat hai... The female tells her that it was her wish to act with him in a music video but owing to an unfortunate accident, she lost her life. Himesh doesn’t believe her and thinking her to be a fun girl who will now surely feature with him, he sings - Nikamma Kiya Iss Dil Ne. Suddenly when Himesh turns to the left, he finds that the girl is now seated at the back, with her clothes all loosened. Thinking to follow Emraan’s footsteps of the song Aashiq Banayaaaa Aaapne, Himesh touches the girl, only to find out that she cannot be felt. The girl has a shrill laugh, and the car falls off from near a hill.

Right down where the car dropped, Himesh looks petrified. He turns around but the girl seems to be nowhere in sight. But... everything is not over yet. He sees her standing right in front of him and much to his horror, she is seen wearing his cap while our nasal-guy is capless! He wants to run away to the nearest cap-store but by the female fatale, is rendered incapable of moving. She stands there, runs her hands on her hair, dances and sings - Just Chill Chill Just Chill. Himesh cannot understand the trick, and is charmed by her super power. He is hypnotised by her, and follows her everywhere. Though aware that she ain’t a human, he falls for her and also sings to her, bardaasht nahin kar sakta. His life and his career is ruined. Just then, he hears a small murmer, "Get up Himesh. Today is the awards day. How long will you sleep?" Ha, gotcha! But take another twist in the tale. Just while he is driving for the awards ceremony, he sees the same girl on the highway asking for a lift. Now you let me know what should he do, in the Comments Section.
