D-Link DIR-605L Wireless N300 D Link Cloud Router

The DIR-605L is a affordable router and certainly does not support the latest and greatest in hardware and networking specifications .

This router is one of the few which does not ship with a setup cd .However the setup is quick and easy and has a quick install guide and the rest the browser does it all but compared to the other routers available in the market it is still a task .

They have a qos offering for traffic management but unfortunately does not have an option to assign more bandwidth to Skype or face time . But the reason this is absolutely affordable and works perfect in 1300 square feet range it is perfect for me .Another good thing about this device is the mydlink service .I can control the router to certain extent using my iphone

I already own a similarly priced Netgear router and bought this one as an add-on to ensure coverage across my house.

I installed this one standalone to test the range and it gives me very good coverage in a 30 foot radius through walls and wardrobes which my earlier router struggled to do.

Dont go for this if you are using broadbands like ACT or Tikona where you directly get LAN cable to your home without a modem.

2. I am using it for my alliance internet connection.

3. I use to connect the device from my laptop , my mobile etc.

4. I have configured and placed the wifi in my 1st floor, It is working fine from ground floor as well as from my nearby lane.

5. As usual best delivery and packaging. I ordered it via COD.

CONS:

The device is coming with a LAN cable but it is short in length.
