Cookscape, Chennai

Cookscape, for me, was a bliss. They designed my kitchen so good. It’s not that easy to finish a kitchen just like how it is looking on the website. My kitchen was done so good and its the best place of my house. Planning to do my bedroom interiors with them too. Highly recommended.

I live in Puravankara windermere And I thought I had to redo my kitchen to suit my needs. I didn't find the kitchen that was given quite attractive. I had assigned cookscape to do the kitchen and interiors for my apartment.

All I needed to say can be captured in a few words. Now, everybody in the apartment comes to see my kitchen and I can easily say that I can see a very small bit of jealousy in their eyes.

The work of cookscape, then professionalism and their commitments are highly appreciated.

Hi guys, this is Harini Krishnamachari, my parents bought a 3bhk apartment in omr, chennai and we wanted to do the kitchen stuff & cupboards and a few interiors for which I shortlisted a few interior agencies, through web and references. then we finalised with cookscape. during this process, I had to read a lot of reviews in lot of forums, so I decided I should also write review, once my house was done.

initially when we approached lot of agencies, most of the people were very reluctant to give even the designs before paying advance, but at cookscape it was different those guys gave us the multiple design options even before we finalised. one thing is, it is very confusing initially because they give both low cost and high end options also. initially we got a feeling that it is expensive but actually it is not they have a lot of combination options also, so that we can choose what we want. they have options for all budgets, small to big. initially we were looking at all the low cost options, but when everything was concluded we went for mixed combo. especially my room has come out very well I love the wallpaper and also the wardrobe. I did it like a theme. it did take some time to finalise since I had to travel back to the us most of discussions were in facetime.

one strong statement I would like to make is, utilise their design team, coz the design is the main area to decide the budget and even decides the finish. I especially wanted to write this review mainly to appreciate and thank coordinator uma and the application engineer balaji who helped us in lot of minor changes in the last minute. if you ask me for a rating for design I will give 10/10, price part I can rate them 9/10, time line is only 7/10, over all ambiance and quality will be 10/10. all the best to young and energetic team. keep it up guys.

I am back again on cookscape!

Work in our flat is still pending and they were illegally holding our keys to the flat. Finally after so many emails they handed over the key to our flat. It is February now and they were supposed to have completed our project by October.

My four bedroom flat is still locked up and we are unable to rent out our flat. I think we have waited too long.

After a week I am writing again

Two days back cookscape called my husband at Mumbai and my brother at Chennai and fixed up with him to deliver some materials for pending work at 9.30  on Monday morning i.e today.

My brother waited till 11am and called just now to say no materials were delivered, no entry record at the security gate for having come in nor any materials came for our flat work.

My brother who is a lawyer, whose time cookscape is wasting now.

our four bedroom flat which will fetch nearly 40, 000 as rent  is locked up since October.

We kept asking their schedule as to what they are planning to do and how long it will take to finish the loft work and put few hooks for oonjal, clotheslilne and mirror fixing . They wanted a weeks time to complete this job.

To get Rakesh the MD over phone I have to think of another project work at Boat Club or something(earlier I said new project at Mylapore) .

Totallly frustrated and we get a feeling that their lawyer is advising them wrong.

we are filing a police complaint for cheating by cookscape team Rakesh, Babu and others and misbehaving with me when I had gone to chennai in feb.

Cookscape was supposed to have finished our project by October. No coordination between the staff. One comes for taking the project but doesn't communicate the design  to the carpenter properly the other one kept on chasing for full payment. Once the payment was done in full I am left with poor loft design, when pointed out the frame was cut without our permission, again when pointed out they are unwilling to correct now. The boss Rakesh MD Cookscape doesn't respond to emails or phone calls- we had to get to him from a different number and through new project offers even though my husband is highly placed government official.

We have now relocated to Mumbai in November.

My four bedroom apartment is locked up and not able to give it on rent.

I want some one other than Babu, Dilli Babu, Ramya and Rakesh to respond to us and finish our project as per our agreed design.

Cookscape has poor service and the quality is low.

Have to followup multiple times to get work done and all you get is unwanted stress.

One sided payment schedule is horrible.

They focus only on money but not actual service.

Too much delay and will not be able to reach those people once you pay money.

I very disappointed and with their unprofessional attitude; will not refer them to anybody.

Totally no value for money.

I didn’t want my kitchen to comply with the so-called norms. I kinda felt that there are some elements of the old kitchens that needed to be upkept, and hence I thought I should have a completely customized design! I consulted them for my kitchen, and I told them about what I wanted, kinda hesitating because I knew it would be odd.

They did a nice work in the finishing and the parts and products. Nice to see people look at my kitchen and say it looks good.

My wife’s a cooking enthusiast. A bad kitchen was one of the reasons we moved from our older apartment, and we wanted to get the best for the new one. I wanted the kitchen to be done perfectly, to keep up with all she wants - some OTG and stuff, places to keep her knives and spatulas at easy access and too many things like that.

They did it well. My wife says the kitchen helps get her things done… and to me, it kinda looks good. Loved their work. Just wishing they didn’t take so much time

Even during the days of consulting, I was a bit overwhelmed at the prices that they quoted… it was a bit on the higher side. But upon the completion, looks like every product has been chosen with a lot of patience and diligence - real good quality and good aesthetics as well. Their products surely look sturdy enough to last long. No wonder they give 10 years warranty.

They made my kitchen look as good as I thought it could be! Nice work by these people!

Delay and more delay.you pay the money and get trapped only to see nobody answering your calls and if you go in person they will not even answer properly, would not give firm commitment; even after months of follow up they would swap with low quality material IMHO.

Initially for business and catching new customers they would lure you frequently call you until you pay your advance, once you are trapped they would start their game.

They would not attend your calls, neither face you in person and delay for months together while they would try to squeeze as much as money upfront. and may cheat you with low quality materials if you are an unsuspecting customer.

Never ever go for cookscape.its a total waste of money and time.

1. This is my personal experience about this Cookscape store. I went to this store much time for shopping purpose. Cookscape store has good parking space for cars and bike and its ambiance is also good.

   
   




2. I do not like this store at present time. Cookscape store does not maintain product quality and its product quality is poor, durability is not good and a price is high for me.

   
   




3. Cookscape store is not giving return policy after open or use product and also do not give any discount at a festival time or normal days

I don't know why people are posting weird comments about cookscape. Yeah its true to an extent they took time to finalize the design, they keep asking questions after questions to the last detail to finish their paper work itself. in my case they did a decent job. I gave them order twice. for the full house scope for my apartment at Thuraipakkam they did it a month's time. but the renovation work for my in law's individual house at Velachery they dragged it. they did take quite some time. I am happy though for the finish and it it defiantly worth the money. I guess I am ok with their work and they come forward for regular service also. I think it is fine.

They found all the ways to delay the work until. No value for money. If you dont watch out, and strict they'll fix cheap accessories

Please do not waste your money on COOKSCAPE, after making full payments they did not show up to finish the work and have been making so many calls but no response and they promised something and they delivered something else. Bunch of good for nothing losers who just talk talk and do nothing.

And when I asked my neighbors about their experience with Cookscape everyone had so much to throw on them.

It's five months since we placed our order to do interiors through Cookscape Cenotaph Road branch. They are yet to complete work and hand over our apartment. Except one Mr Syed, nobody bothers to even answer our phone.

I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with such unprofessional attitude from such a reputed organisation. Would surely not recommend anybody to go through the hell that we are undergoing!

Very hard to say that the service was very poor and the complete work was done with enough headache and tension. Need to pay the money in full to get the service, later if you call for any rectifications, you will have surprises. I will not refer this to anyone. A typical company focused on money and not the service.

You will end up with pain. Very sorry that I referred unknowingly to my neighbors.

It was my bad I landed with this company a year back(cookscape - Cenotaph Road, Chennai). It has been terrible since then. I have spent days working and following up with them for a simple project. I am very tired at this stage and feel very pained.

Poor design, delivery, project management, workmanship and service from this company. The only consolation is the manager of the center(Cookscape - Cenotaph Road) is a very nice person. But for him I would have walked in to a consumer court by this time.

I overlooked a feedback received from a friend about their poor delivery and execution prior to entering in to this project, that is what pains me and keeps me awake today. Never take market feedback lightly, just stay away from this company!

You can know the attitude of this company from this example. There is a feedback form in their website, when you fill it up and save it will report page not found and it will not save.

I've recently been to cookscape, porur. Employees were so courteous in explaining every details about their product. Mr.Rahul an executive in that showroom took more than an hour time just to explain about all their models in showroom. Even we got tired:).

Only thing is you have do lot of thinking for your house to make it innovative and suggest them. They would provide couple of options for kitchen which might very basic.

So I'm excited to do business with them. Right now we are at design finalisation stage. Hope to have a better experience .

Will update further about time taken for delivery and the quality. Keep watching.

Due to delay in project completed I had to delay placing final order in cook scape. Atlast I had placed the ordered on March 1st week. ideally they would take 30 - 45 days for production and 2 weeks for installation. So all together it would be average 2 months.

I will keep you guys posted on the quality of product once the materials gets dispatched. Meanwhile attaching few 3D diagrams they shared.

I am an Interior Designer and used to get my projects done with Carpenters. Upon one of my friends suggestion, I visited Cookscape Showroom and tried my first project with them for just a Modular Kitchen. I had a very good experience with them. They have a wide range of Materials and Finishes. And they are very co-operative when it comes to executing some of my  innovative designs.

Now, I'm using Cookscape's services for all my requirements and all my clients are very happy with their quality and timely after sales customer service.

We have constructed an independent Bungalow at CIT Colony, Chennai in 2005-06 and the entire interiors are made to order mostly from Thailand. While the project was getting completed, Cookscape technicians assessed our taste and suggested a kitchenette which was finally executed. This was the only one which was totally outsourced and the best of all the others we have.

Couple of times, we had minor issues which was promptly rectified by their service department with one phone call. We have recommended Cookscape to many of our friends and relatives and all of them are very happy with quality and after sales service.
