If a person solves the whole text book then he/she can clear any competitive exam's physics section easily. All the chapters are explained in detail and there are examples of numericals also, which will improve your logical skills and theoretical skills also. The book is very good for overall physics understanding.

Concepts of physics written by HC Verma is a very good book for intermediate level physics. The problems given in this book are really awesome and require a higher level of understanding of concepts application.

The book provides a whole range of problems strating from begineer to advanced level. However the theory section is not well defined most of the topics have been too out sterched so its quite difficult to understand. Also the problems require a higher level understanding which you donot get here. The examplar problems are not just enough to give u an condusive idea to solve the problems.For jee preparations you need to follow another book which gives a clear theoritical understanding and hints out a vast range of problems to help u solve the questions and then use this book as a practise material it will be a really usefull book then or witout that it will be a show piece in yr self a nice place for dust to mount upon.

The concepts are very good in this book but they are not understood by a normal student in order to read and understand clearly you must have strong basics and concepts otherwise you will face lot of problems .You will be knowing about your standards right! So you are the one to decide whether the book suits you or not.if you are an average student dont go for this book

Concept of physics is the best book I have ever seen.it is a very core book of physics explaining everything very nicely.a student should go thoroughly through the book to achieve good ideas. Solving the questions in book iws very necessary.best of luck

A book which start with basic and takes you to high level physics with proper understanding in every step every chapter.

Just start it from the first volume and soon you will master the concepts.

The book has both solved and unsolved exercices, start and high level questions and questions even with IIT level exercices.

The first volume definitely is 11th class physics and second one is 12th class but if one is preparing for IIT, NIT or other good level competition then both books needs to be mastered first as it also the first choice of all teachers.

Enough theory is provided before every chapter which builds the conceptual part.

While preparing for IIT I bought the books set a little late i.e after 12th in dropout which was difficult for me to cover but still I go through exercices as much possible and helped a lot, even it is helping now.

Readability is good and if you like physics you are going to like every chapter or every story.

What a cool book it is! Good for all types of student.

The hc verma book for the higher secondary class is not only excellent but too good to be described in terms it help in the concept understanding and it's questions that cover almost all parts of the iit level examinations and other joint examinations too.
