I attended Bryan Adams rock concert in Bangalore held the other day in support of Child Relief and You (CRY).As a performer ,his instinct is impeccable; His liveshows are overwrought spectacles of gore and glitz that have endeared his fans all around the world. It was a great concert as anyone who's ever seen Bryan 'live' would know.We got a pretty good place , right in front of the stage.
Even as dark clouds raced across the sky ,the rock legend relieved songs from 'Best of me' and sent electrifying shivers of ecstacy. Accompanying Bryan where Mickey on the drums and keith on the lead guitar and vocals, and of cource, the effects of a rope lighting system.
Bryan blasted off the concert with the song 'Back to you ,the surging ocean of his fans could not have asked for anything better.Even as the songs were soft and romantic, the palace grounds reverberated to the soul stirring solo performer's gravelly voice.
Accompanied by lightening in the sky, he sang 'Cuts like a knife' and crowd lapped it all up in pure joy and sang along.
Bryan adams crooned 'everything I do,i do it for you ',as it started drizzling and we had got wet to the bone, AND the euphoric fans took the sendition of the unquestningly best ever balled.
''Last time we missed Bangalore, but we will make it up this time'' he said,as the crowd got rocking to him all time hits, 'Summerof 69', '18 till Die', 'Please Forgive me', 'Heaven I am ready'...
When he completed the songs from 'Best of Me' the crowd were carving for more.
Though the spice girl, Mel c,who had sung the duet,'When you are gone' ,wasn't there. Akanksha ,the Delhi girl made up for this when she shared the stage with Bryan for this song.As this girl sang along with Bryan, the sighs and the abusive comments led out by the girl fans among us was clearly audible.
Well,I have attended many rock shows in Delhi and Mumbai . I liked this show better,In fact, it's the best concert I have ever been to,But I really think it has a lot to do with the atmosphere and the decent crowds in Bangalore.
Bangalore has always been my favourite, with its salubrious climate, its tree-lined avenues, its trendy, yuppy downtown, its software flooded pub culture and , now the live rock concerts .
When will I shift to Bangalore ???
- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
