The overall appearance of the Samsung Galaxy A12 is appealing and it features a sleek body design that is comfortable to grip and has an attractive matte finish on the rear. It is smooth to hold but not slippery, and fairly light too. Bezels on the phone are thin. The 6.5-inch HD+ screen comes with an adaptive brightness feature and can automatically adjust brightness depending on surroundings, which comes in really handy and doesn’t hamper the screen time. For user convenience, it also features a blue light filter to reduce eye strain. The USB Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack are quite handy.

The big relief is that it houses a 5000mAh battery for long hours of usage and can last for more than a day. Added to that, you get the powerful performance of the MediaTek Helio P35 processor and though this smartphone processor is not a part of MediaTek’s brilliant gaming lineup, it doesn’t disappoint in regular multitasking.

The Galaxy A12 aces in the camera department with the 48MP camera that allows you to take sharp and clear shots. The Android 10 and One UI Core 2.5 makes sure you get the latest and most capable UI for fluid functionality and there are absolutely no complaints regarding the agility of the phone.

Samsung smartphones are usually good but mostly the best ones from the brand are towards the higher end of the price spectrum. So this one, the Galaxy A12 has really impressed me being otherwise. I think the integration of the MediaTek Helio P35 processor was a pretty good call from the brand and the performance is pretty smooth. Best part though is the 5000mAh battery, no doubt!

If you are just a normal user like one of my studious friends, this smartphone would do really well for you. Samsung Galaxy A12 has quite good performance and it does not lag or show signs of hiccups in any conditions. I think the power of a Mediatek chipset is working really well in the smartphone and this Samsung device has a good camera section as well. Both the front camera and the rear cameras take great images not issues whatsoever. Besides, even the battery backup of this smartphone is really good and you can do well with the kind of features it has. On trying it personally, I would recommend it to the normal users.

I have heard a lot of opinions on this phone and I actually did get a chance to check it out myself and honestly I have a different opinion. I think Samsung has actually done a good job here. And going against the popular comment on the price of the phone, I think it is well priced.

The phone is powered by Mediatek Helio P35. Granted, the brand could have gone with a newer chipset like the Helio G80 or the Helio G85, which would have also given a good gaming edge but in no way does Samsung calls this a gaming phone so expecting it to support PUBG on high settings isn't fair. Anyone who is not into heavy gaming can go for this phone in my opinion. With a big 5000mAh battery and the decent camera section, it is a good phone in this price range and also worth the price.
