As an ex-user of Canvas A1(android one) I don't recommend you to buy this, I have bought 7 Mobiles from amazon(with different Email IDs) found all of them to be waste and Full of Stupidity, Micromax is making us fool Indeed and also their service centres are worst est ever, This Mobile Phone is full of Problems.
I bought it for me and my relatives but all of us are unlucky to do so. On Micromax service Centres you will not get satisfactory work, Even If your Mobile is in Warranty they will ask you to replace the motherboard and definitely ask for money
Micromax should not fool us.

Micromax canvas a1 is a cheaply priced phone for 5500rs.One of the best budgeted phone.Has Simple & Nice Design.Sound Clarity is awesome.IT also Promises for Timely Updates. It is Dual Sim, 3G, Wi-Fi enabled.
Quad Core, 1.3 GHz Processor makes the phone really run very fast.It has a 5 MP Camera with flash which makes the pictures just average.4gb inbuilt memory and 32 gb external memory makes the phone really very very spacious.
Few drawbacks which I think about the phone are No protection on screen by some scratch resistant glass and battery life is just average.
The Micromax Canvas A1 is the latest budget smartphone that offers surprisingly good performance. For Rs. 6200, this one looked like a good deal for me. A1 is a godsend phone especially made for Tier II and Tier III markets who don't want to throw their earnings on expensive phones.
This one from Micromax is a blessing for those budget conscious consumers. It comes with a 1.3 GHz MediaTek quad-core SoC and can even run games like Asphalt 8 and Injustice: Gods, without much issues.
With its 5MP camera, A1 captures decent shots if not impressive. Further, its 4.5-inch(854x480p, 218ppi) capacitive touch screen does look good but does not impress much.
Pros:
Smooth Performance
Light Weight
Comfortable to Use
First Device to Get Android L Update
Cons:
No Screen Protection
Mediocre Camera
Software Lacks Stability
YOUR RATING ON
It is integrated with 5MP primary camera with auto focus, flash, 1080p video recording and 2MP front facing camera with 720p video recording.4.5-inch FWVGA capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 854 pixels resolution and 16M color support.
It comes with Android kitkat 4.4.4 upgradable to lollipop operating system with 1.3GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 2.1GB for apps installation, 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB and dual Micro SIM(GSM+GSM).Battery has 1700mAH battery providing talk-time of 6 hours and standby time of 160 hours.) .its front camera(2 mp) is nice and even better than its rear camera.pic are coming out clear and sharp. Its sound clearity is awesome and is loud and clear.
This Is the cheapest phone to get Android . It's design is simple and nice and provides good grip to hold. this is the best micromax mobile in low end smartphone market. Touch response is fast and fluid and match up the moto G's touch response.
Specification
• Budget Smartphone

• Simple & Nice Design
• Sound Clarity is awesome
• Average Camera
• Sub-par Battery Life
• No protection on screen by some scratch resistant glass
• Rear camera is not something to boost about.
Micromax Canvas A1 Android One is my first smartphone. Honestly I was apprehensive about purchasing it. Not because of the company but because of the smartphone. I was not sure if I will be able to use a smartphone. But Micromax Canvas A1 Android One is extremely user friendly.
Making calls and receiving calls on it is very easy. So is sms texting. Yes searching for contacts was bit difficult initially but now with use it has become easy. The speaker volume is ridiculously low to call it a speaker.
I am not very keen on playing games on the phone. So I will not be able to say much about the gaming experience. But I love cats and hence got the game talking tom installed. I never had any issues with the said game. Finally as Tom was too demanding I uninstalled the game. Even multi-tasking was good. Even when several applications were running simultaneously the phone never hanged.
As regards the camera is concerned the daylight pictures are decent. But those shot during nighttime are nothing but pathetic. The other problem area is that as Micromax Canvas A1 Android One is run on google software it does not allow you sharing many things with other devices. I was not able to transfer my computer files to my smartphone. This indeed is a very big problem.
I was able to use What's app successfully. The handset is sleek but heavy to be carried into the pocket of your shirt. The data charging was eratic. But I am not sure who is to blame for it – the handset manufacturer or the service provider. Battery life is decent. It lasts for twenty-four hours.
For all those fans of Swadeshi moment who ask to buy Micromax products and not Samsung and Nokia for the reason that the former is an Indian company and the latter foreign companies, I have some news. It was clearly mentioned inside Micromax Canvas A1 Android One that it is made in China. Still I would call it a decent product.
