Very cute looking netbook comes with 8 hours battery backup and 260 GB Hard disk. Samsung provides external DVD writer and all supporting software like windows 7, Microsoft Office 2007 and other software. When I went to purchase netbook, I found that all my shortlisted netbooks are priced between Rs 17, 000 to Rs. 24, 000/-.

Only Samsung provides netbook with external DVD writer. I Purchased netbook for internet browsing and watching video. I am fully satisfied with the performance of samsung N-140. Best Netbook those who want to browse and watch videos. Samsung provides all supporting software along with the pack. such as samsung recovery software, nero, etc. N-140 can connect automatically to any phone device through bluetooth and connect net.

I bought this unit supplementing my ACER aspire 1640. Issues were with the weight and size of that in order to make it portable. Battery backup shows 7 hours but I like the retailers under-promise of 5 hours. It works for more than that in-spite of 3 tasks. The speakers and camera are excellent, though the screen automatically flips behind even while lifting so needs to be closed. Somehow it shuts with a thud too.

Display 1024x600 gives a prompt in dwg viewer-uncomfortable with big top menus. But it surely meets my requirements. Keyboard, though designed big has 2 issues. Firstly it's panned left, so initially you will end up typing keys on immediate right. Small blue led for caps lock button. Initially the color is very repulsive-gives a incubator feeling but set more in red green tones-loses camera and photo quality

I would have loved to spend some more money on add ons-namely GPS, 3G, windows 7 exchange. Even the McCafee is 90 days. Touchpad is better also with scroll up and down button. Need to learn the skills to control that. Difficult to use the mouse as a common screen and sync-though sugar sync feels good.

1st month-the right side start button is not starting the PC. It has to be persistently pressed 6-10 times then it starts. The dealer's boys say that it has to be given to company whereas the dealer says to leave it in his premises for half an hour. Whom should I trust the dealer sahab or his boys? I am badly stranded.

Was looking for a Netbook for some time now, and narrowed down to Samsung N140 from all the others that are crowding this market. The main reason being the keys are well layed out and are big enough for big fingers and also the battery life it offered was best in class.

To top it Samsung offered free DVD drive external and also a slip pouch with the netbook. The one that is on offer in India comes with a 160 gb drive and with Windows XP Home preloaded. Lots of other goodies are also offered as pre-loaded.

Little softwares to make your virtual life easier. The opening of the box is quite and experience, right from the step by step installation and the quick connectivity to WiFi at home. The netbook has a good bright screen and very comfortable for your eyes. It has decent speed for tasks like wordprocessing and browsing. Very light and portable can just slip it in your bag without feeling the weight of the laptops. Absolute value for money at Rs. 21, 250/- I would say this is the best around for the money and features.

Good in-built camera and nice microphones. Sound too is not that bad for a netbook this size. Its got a 3 in 1 card reader and 3 USB ports. Comes with one year international warranty. Got everything you expect in a netbook.

Samsung N110 Mini Notebook maybe small in size but big in performance. It runs on Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.6GHz), 1GB DDR2 800MHz RAM, and 160 GB Hard Disk Drive.

Firstly the talking point for this Notebook will be its battery backup. It gives me 7plus hours of usage in a single charge, running in Max Battery mode. SAMSUNG achieves this by including a bigger 6 Cell Lithium ion batteries (other Notebooks in this class mostly come with 4 Cell battery as standard), less power consuming Intel Atom Chip and a 10.1" display, which in fact is small, but consumes less power, and, adds to the overall portability of the unit.

With it's nice and glossy piano like outer casing (beware, it retains you finger prints and needs constant cleaning), the N110 looks more professional and upmarket. Keyboard comes with 84 full sized Keys with Silver Nano technology (which have Anti-Bacterial coating or so Samsung claims!), which considerably reduces multitapping and are easy to use.

Build quality is good and in par with other high end Notes. Sound is taken care by inbuilt High Definition Audio and two small speakers at the front, which plays music without distortion even at higher volumes and rates at 3 Watts RMS (1.5W x 2), which is pretty decent for notebooks.

Display supports 1024 x 600 pixels (but you can't run utilities like Power DVD, Which needs higher resolution). Bright LED back lit Display (Yes, It's LED), is sharp and crisp and colors are vibrant and visible even in bright day-light. 128MB Integrated Graphics works fine. The only problem I face is while playing Yahoo! pool where the chat screen at the bottom end is not visible. (Of-course you can drag the screen up) I think this will always be a problem with Java applets while using smaller displays.

SAMSUNG N110 score high in connectivity department. Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 802.11b.g and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, there is also Wired 10/100 Mbps LAN, 3 in 1 Card Reader (SD, SDHC, MMC) and three USB 2.0 ports. 1.3 Mega Pixel Digital Motion Camera takes care of Video Conferencing needs.

The N110 performs flawlessly through most of the apps. and is pretty fast too. I can safely say it is faster than many other "standard " laptops available in the market today. It also comes with Genuine OS and at the retail price of Rs. 22, 500 is well worth it. N110 now ships with external DVD Rw, worth Rs. 4500, free! (if you are lucky you also can get an additional 2GB pen drive!)

For Rs.1400 more you can also opt for SAMSUNG N120 with display mounted speakers, in-built Sub-Woofer! and SRS TruSurround XT and SRS WOW XT sound effects(Other specs. remain same)

Having excellent battery life, and weighing just 1.26 kg this Mini Notebook coupled with a Mobile Internet Broadband Connection will make you go truly mobile.

SAMSUNG had placed this product really well with balanced Power, Performance and Price. If the smaller display doesn't bog you and portability is your priority, then here is a Mini Notebook which makes real sense and is a good buy.

I was looking for a suitable replacement for an HP DV series laptop that I had which(un) fortunately was recently stolen. Being someone who does hardcore research before buying any new product - especially electronics, I did alot for a new laptop.

I had read alot of reviews on various net books, but the one where there was maximum satisfaction was the Samsung NC-10, now already owning a Samsung phone I knew it must have been a good quality product so I decided to look for reviews within India itself, unfortunately I only found one here from Bobby - but it was extremely helpful - So I went over to Nehru Place saw all the netbooks available - Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Benq, etc, and lastly Samsung.

That day it was "Samsung Laptop day" and there was a special offer -so for Rs.23, 500 I got a 2 GB memory upgrade, a wireless Logitech mouse, and a Moser Baer USB phone adapter thrown in.

I took everything home an immediately got down to work on the Netbook, and I must say, that although its only been 2 weeks since I bought it, it has been one of the best buys I have made.

The initial set up was pretty easy and I liked the fact that Samsung has put in its own data back up software, something that you don`t normally find in other laptops, irrespective of that they have also provided recovery CD`s for the same - which is odd as the netbook doesn`t have a CD drive on it.

One of the apprehensions I had after reading the reviews was with respect to the keyboard, but as of now I have had no problems with that whatsoever, another issue that was pointed out was the small touchpad, well I guess you can`t have everything, so its just a matter of getting used to it.

It has an excellant look and feel, and a massive 160 GB hard drive, 40 GB more than my HP, I have loaded Office 2003 and am using it without any problems. It connected seamlessly with the WiFi, and I was able to brouse the net without any problems at all. One issue that I had which I didn`t see mentioned was the speakers are placed in the front, and if its on your lap the sound doesn`t come out too well.

Overall a very good piece of kit to have, and if size doesn`t matter and you require mobility, then I would definately recommend this to anyone.Now what remains to be seen is the after sales service.

Hi Friends, I was in need of a compact laptop for my basic work and was searching for one and I found out the “Samsung NP-NC 10” Net book .A Net book is a typical form of a compact notebook and quite similar to it, but cheaper in comparison as it has a few less features in comparison to a Note book. It comes with one year international warranty.

I have been using this for quite sometime now and am very happy with its performance. Let me first describe here its features and Pros as under:-

1) It comes in two colours viz regular black and glossy blue. I opted for the glossy blue as it looked quite impressive in it. It is light weighted with a weight of only 1.33 Kgs much lesser than the big screen laptops. It runs on an Intel atom processor (1.6 GHz) and the size of the LCD screen is a wide 10.2” quite impressive for a compact one. No reading difficulties at all. The clarity of the LCD screen is marvellous and the colour display is brilliant.

2) It has a 160 hard disk drive and 1 GB DDR2Ram. The speed is amazingly good while using it for various purposes. The battery is a rechargeable lithium ion one which can run continuously for 4 to 7hours on a trot depending on your usage of various functions and applications at a go. You can also run it on six cells (5200 mAh, 11.1 V) in emergency.

3) It comes with pre-installed genuine windows XP Home and MacAfee Antivirus by the company.

4) It comes with multi card slots supporting MMC, SD and SDHC cards according to your need. It has a nice Bluetooth too. It is fitted with a digital motion 1.3 MP camera with an in built microphone. It lets you capture fine still photographs and you can record wonderful videos too.It provides 3 USB ports including video monitor port, head phone jack and Wired LAN. You can connect it to an external device like a large monitor or T.V for viewing pleasure. You can also make presentations through this feature and can also watch your recorded videos in a larger mode. You have an option of wireless LAN too.

5) The Keyboard is quite impressive and each of the 84 buttons are wide enough to satisfy you. Each key has a 17.7 mm pitch which is quite nice for a compact piece like this and while working, I never felt the crampiness.It just felt like I was working on a regular keyboard of a P.C.

6) The touch pad (Which can be used as a cordless mouse) is wide and also very responsive to actions of the hands and very easy to maneuver. I liked it.

The Cons: - There is no optical drive. You will have to purchase an external optical drive to satisfy this need. The body could have been a little bit slimmer and trendier.
