HP laptops are the best in market.You get your full value of your money when you ge HP laptop.It is one of the best service provider too.But I think The laptop band is such awesome you will fairly need a service from its service centre.I use HP and I am using HP crom last seven years.

I didn't face any problem yet.Just once I changed a battery once in this last seven years.Amazing brand, amazing quality.

It is close to perfect business notebook: fast CPU, enough memory, decent autonomy and low price. Did we mention that you get Windows Vista Business with it? This model can get job done as good as most of pricier models but without all those fancy accessories.

I have been using laptops for quite some time now. Its been 4 years since I got my first laptop (which was a Presario M2000 series).I have used another 2 laptops since. I use my laptop on the move quite a bit and I need internet access many a times. I went in for the HP 530 firstly because yes it suited my budget (got it last month for 42, 500 Rs all inclusive). Looked robust and yes since it falls into the business series of laptops I get ONSITE support from HP.

Specs:-

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.60 GHz , 2 MB L2 cache 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 15.4 inches diagonal screen, Wireless LAN, 4-cell Lithium-Ion battery, Preloaded with Vista Business with 160 GB HDD.

Overall, I am very happy with its performance. I work on a lot of excel sheets at any point of time (around 5 to 7 at a time) and do a lot of surfing simultaneously as well.Works like a dream.Love vista bus interface. Personally, I have become a fan of Windows aero.Just cannot get enough of the 3-D interface.Basically windows aero includes live thumbnails, live icons and animations. The translucent effect of Aero Glass, featuring dynamic reflections and smooth animations is just too good. I might think of upgrading to 2 GB RAM. Don't feel the need to do that just now.

I use my Reliance data card on the HP 530 when I am on the move and the wifi connection at work.Net browsing with the vista is good primarily because of the enhanced graphics...its all bling really but I like it :)

Software bundled along with the laptop:Adobe Acrobat Reader, HP Backup and Recovery Manager, HP Help and Support Center, Roxio Creator Basic 9, Synaptics Touchpad Driver, Intervideo WinDVD. I feel out of all the bundled software the HP Backup and Recovery Manager is really useful. One can rebuild your documents or files if they were deleted or if your system crashes. Roxio creator feels and is something like nero. Played a copy of Ugly aur Pagli a week back. Very good video output and sound.Cannot really quantify it but will suffice by saying its really good.

Battery life:-

Lasts for nearly 2 hours on battery before giving the warning beeps for low power. Best thing about using the laptop even at a stretch is that even after running for 10 to 12 hours continuously the surface next to the touchpad is as cool as ever. I clearly remember my commercial range HP Compaq Presario C series laptop heating up after just 2 to 3 hours of use. This piece is just built differently from regular commercial range laptops.

With a price tag of £300, you might expect the HP 530 to be fairly underwhelming, but in reality, it's anything but. Although its specification is relatively low compared to other machines available on the market, it makes the most of what it's got and managed to turn in some pretty impressive scores.

Its 1.6GHz Intel Celeron M 420 processor is a slow chip by any standards and with only 512MB of RAM available, we were only expecting a three figure PCMark05 score. However, the 530 managed to turn in a result of 1, 704, which is nothing short of remarkable for its specification.

My old laptop's mainboard broke down and I was browsing to a huge amount  of laptops for daily use. It should be able to do the daily internet  browsing, email checking and office work. So I stumbled on the HP 530. I like HP laptops because they have a discreet design and I  already used a HP laptop which I got at my former job. I decided to give  it a try.

Design

It doesn't look too funky and as I already said, it's very discreet.  People won't look strange at you while you're sitting in a bar or in the  train and using it. Basically it feels very well built and doesn't seem  to break apart when you look at it, unlike a lot of other laptops nowadays.

Features

It has everything you might need. The keyboard feels good, the keys are  not wiggling around and the keyboard is said to be "spill proof"(I  wouldn't try to spill my coffee into it, though.).

The HP 530 has an "BrightView"(glare) screen which displays a nice  high-contrast image.A 320GB hard disk is more than enough for mobile use  and the Core2Duo T6570 and the 3GB of RAM  are great to make Windows 7 Professional(32 bit not 64!) feel snappy.  For connectivity it features WiFi, Bluetooth and the standard 10/100  Mbit Ethernet port. For nostalgic people there's also a 56kbit fax modem  integrated. It also features a 2 Megapixel integrated webcam which  works nicely and flawlessly together with Skype.

The Intel graphics chipset is fine for watching movies and also displays  a nice picture on older VGA monitors or beamers without a HDMI  interface.

Cons

• Battery life could be better(it's about 3 hours while normal internet browsing)

I bought the HP 550 laptop in July 2010 with KG to PG Scheme with INR 28, 500 from Innova Systems from Bodakdev, Ahmadabad.

It was not good buying experience from the start. Though my laptop was allotted, it was not delivered to us unless we contacted to head office.

The battery life was 4-6 hours earlier, It has decreased to only 2 min. It is no more laptop, only compact desktop for me. This problem is not faced only by me, there are others also who had bought this laptop.

My LCD Screen was also flickering sometimes.

I will definitely not buy or recommend HP products now onward. Even though we have HP 5-in-1 Printer at office, we chose Canon for the factory, just due to experience of poor quality. The brand name has eroded and the company is also paying its cost as it has slide down from its leadership position.

My name is Apoorva & I am from Mumbai. Last year in June, I purchased HP 530 Laptop from my PC Dealer from whom I used to buy my computer needs. At time of purchase, all I received was a Delivery Challan but did not receive my Proof of Purchase copy. I questioned him about this but he said that this is all what you get (Delivery Challan).Also, he delivered this HP 530 Laptop at my house in an HP Carry Case (which is considered as "Product delivered in an Open Condition") whereas I seen all laptops being sold in a seal box at various shopping malls in Mumbai, I did question him about this open condition of delivering the product, he replied:

“The place from where I receive this laptop, they open it at their end and supply the laptop in an HP Carry case". I was quiet surprised at his answer given back and was less matured and experienced at that time to understand what horrible trouble I will be into...."

It however does not come with an inbuilt webcam.As a matter of fact none of HPs business series laptops come with inbuilt webcams.This seems to be a feature restricted to the consumer Pavilions and Presarios by HP. Does not bother me much as I really do not have any use for one as of now.The only downside for me was the weight.At a little over 2.7 Kgs, the standard HP Koskin carry case might bog you down as I found it not too convenient to use.

Solution:- I brought myself an HP Nylon backpack.(cost me another 2k).But what the hell.looks cool and I don't have a problem lugging my laptop around. Good value for money.

This person is not aware about HP, as HP laptops are the most recommended for Business. and they are very reliable and robust. The good: Slick, lightweight design; decent processor performance;

The bad: Mediocre battery life; optional glossy display can be reflective.

The bottom line: attractive design and multimedia Features, but don't expect this Core 2 Duo laptop to break any speed records.

The worst product /support providing company is HP(laptops). Bought and HP 530 Laptop from the second day the problem started. Its recommended for blind people. You cannot view anything on the display panel. Given the product for servicing and for the past three months the servicing team is servicing it.

The performance, keyboard anything on this product will be of lowest quality.

HP is not a brand, its cheating customers.

Fed up with the servicing team also, I request everyone not to go for HP products.

I used the laptop for 6 months, and after that disply problem started, went to HP service center, they serviced the product and it work for 1 day properly again went to HP service center and from that day, servcing people will say problem is rectified and when I reach there and check the laptop I can find the same problem.

After 3 months of service they gave the product back claiming that the problem been rectified but after one week the same problem again started.

Now I am running behind HP to corect it, but getting answer from HP that they cannot help me because the case is handled by some other team.
