This laptop design a bit bulky and look like a box.design is not attractive at all.hot spot on wrist rest.its prize is also high.no blue-ray support.but u get long last bettery life with it with best ergonomics design of keybord, gameing experience its not to smooth its ok and dell service support is bad.if u want thin and light in weight laptop then plzzz stay away from it.available usb port is not sufficient they could use more usb port.

I bought this laptop 4 years ago. The best parts first

4. I got the top cover in graphic design though I paid 3000 extra for it and I knew it was a lot but totally worth it when sometimes I was recognized in my college as the guy with the funky laptop. Cheap 100 rs laptop skin was never my taste.

6. price was 56000 after customisation with backpack, yeah the backpack is absolutely awesome

   
   

7.dell customer support is incredible though had to go for it only once.buy those guys know thier stuff

I purchased this laptop in 2010 because at that time this was the only product in dell which has i3 processor but seriously this is best product I got that time . this provide tripe audio jack which is helpful to rj and dj.

My friend also purchased the laptops before three and four year now there laptops are in almost dead condition but my laptop is still perfectly working.

Dell home assistance service is also good that cover any problem with in 24 hours. Parts or this laptop are really expensive this is the drawback of this laptop.

All add on are perfectly working.

I got Dell Studio 14 in 2009. The specs were impressive. It housed a reasonably fast 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 duo processor with 4 GB of RAM at a time when 1 GB or 2 GB was the norm. Needless to say, it ran pretty well initially. It also looked rather good. Much of the body was sturdy too.

But as time passed, it began to show cracks in the system. First of all, the hinge turned out to be unbelievably fragile and before I knew it, I could no longer put the lid down. A little bit of gaming and a few keyboard keys stopped working. Of course, the slot-in DVD Drive was a nuisance and I had to get it changed once during the warranty period, but even the replacement didn't last long. Videos at 1080 pixels wouldn't play properly, but that might have had something to do with the screen-size rather than hardware.

The worst thing was the problems started to show only after the warranty ran out, and almost immediately once it did. It made me realize the parts were built to last only as long as the warranty did, and if you want them serviced, be prepared to shell out more money. In hindsight, I should have got a Inspiron or a Vostro instead.

I had brought this laptop in  2009 for 50, 000 with intel core i3, 250Gb HDD, Ati Radeon HD 5470 and 4 Gb of Ram. Specs were good for the price at that time, but this wasnt really a gaming laptop. I ran windows 7 on it and it was pretty smooth most of the time, multitasking was also good. The problems started after I started gaming in this device, The HD 5470 is a low end Gpu, games ran choppy and the laptop overheated every 1 hour of gaming.

After two years the gpu just performed poorly and overheated a lot causing shuttering and freezing, this damaged the motherboard and Dell told me I had to replace the motherboard and gpu, which costs 30000rs, so I just dumped this laptop. The screen quality was good but viewing angles were poor. The laptop speakers were not clear. Amd or Ati graphic cards produce too much heat in a laptop, so I suggest to go for nvidia Gpu in a laptop. So in conclusion a decent laptop is ruined by ati gpu.

I have recently purchased dell studio 1558 laptop.Laptop is very sturdy and attractive with 15.6 wide screen.There is no gaps between keys so it easily adaptable to typing style.The touch-pad is well positioned which avoid accidentally typing anything.It comes with i5 processor, 4 GB Ram and 512 MB graphics processor which help to play 3D games.

Another advantage of dell studio is HD graphics processor and native 1080p display which help us to play high definition video files.It has three USB port and firewire port. It also has inbuilt dual band wireless adaptor which makes him one of the laptop which connect latest dual band router.It also has good battery life.all those available features makes dell studio worth buying.

Dell's Studio 1558 is a sturdy and attractive laptop with a 15.6in widescreen display. We were very taken by the rubber-textured metallic aubergine finish on the lid. Inside, it is more restrained, with a black bezel around the screen and a silver wrist rest.

Unlike most of the 15.6in laptops we've seen recently, the Studio 1558 lacks a numeric keypad.

standard laptop keyboard was comfortable to use. With no unusual layouts or large gaps between the keys, we didn’t have to adapt our typing style to accommodate it.

It is a useless piece which starts ageing at the end of 1 year. Never buy it.. Your repair costs will overrun your purchase price of your laptop.

Especially the Core i3 and Core i5 laptops are a BIG failure.

I bought this laptop in Jan 2010.

1 GB graphics card, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, i3 processor.

At that time, this was the cheapest laptop for such high specifications (these were high specifications in 2010, not now!!). Great laptop and great service by dell. I have no problems till now. Only now battery has lost its efficiency. But for 2.5 years it gave me no problems. I am a very heavy gamer. I used to play continuously for 5 hours sometimes. Still my laptop gave me no problems. Still now I play games everyday.

Great sound, great graphics everything is fantastic.The slot loading DVD drive can get stuck sometimes.

I heard they stopped producing it now. So go for studio XPS or if you get this second hand , don't miss it.!!

Recently Dell India has been rated as "Best Customer Service". I placed an order for the case replacement for my laptop, which is out of warranty. They are keep on delaying. The order tracking system of dell says as delivered. But no details of the technician who is going to visit.

Even if I ask in technical support, they don't know those details. After a long fight, a technician visited, but he brought a wrong part. Then I sent him back. The main problem is dell considers the out of warranty orders to the least priority.

When the laptop gets over heated because of dust on processor fan, and if you raise an issue to dell, they will inform you that processor fan is not working and you need to replace that. It will cost you around 15000 INR. They conclude the problem with out even checking the laptop by sending a technician.

I have extend warranty of my Dell Studio 1537 laptop Service Tag 2VFW2BS. I have paid all charges in advance. But even after one and half month its not updated on Dell Site. When I Call sales manager Snehal Ajani her cell shows switched off. When I taught to Customer Care in last week. He gives me assurance that it will update within week aslo I got email from snehal for the same.

But still it has not updated. I think Dell company has no value of Customers mony as well as there time.

I will not recommand any of product of Dell to anyone.

I bought a studio 1435 laptop 2 years ago. It was got repaired 3 times till now. Recently laptop screen body got damaged. It is not available any ware. I reported it to dell customer care. But they respond recklessly.

They don't even bothered about providing spare parts for their products. It was worst experience with dell and it has got problems many times.and customer care is very poor.

So I strongly recommend that don't go for dell laptops and if so you should take extended warranty.

I would like to write this review because I was vert irritate using dell. I purchased Dell Studio 1458 in Aug 2010 in 46000 INR. It is good looking and I heard that the service of dell is excellent. No doubt after sale service is very good, but the product itself is a bunch of issues. After purchasing of 6 months its got overheated and system goes hang.

I complained in dell and they replace the motherboard with heat sing and fan. Few moths later its DVD writer was not worked, I again complained to dell and they replaced the same. But now again its motherboard is getting overheated and the service cotract is expired. When I contact to dell they are not responding and the cost of the motherboard with heat sing they tell is around18000 INR. Now I'm shocked to hear the price and dont know what should I do.

I will not recommend dell to anyone.

Hi this is Vikas I have been using Dell Studio 1558 and all of sudden I got to know there is some problem with the hard disk and it is under the warranty period so I took to the service centre on 9th September 2011 and till date no update on what happened.

Every time I need to call and the call centre executive say that if we pay and get done it will happen in a day or at the earliest because its under warranty they dragging the matter and they dont have courtesy to give the proper time taken for the repair.

this is ridiculous what does Warranty mean if they really dont want to provide service under the warranty then why to eye wash the customer while selling the product.

this is the call centre No. 08025068026 where I have to call atleast 10-15 times now I am worried what they would done the laptop.

call centre has given this contact details & now they say that it is there agent and they are helpless.

I purchased my dell laptop in hurry in august 2009, with 320 hd, 3 gb Ram, fingerprint scanner and 2 mp camera.i am stisfied with the performance of laptop.but the laptop is very vurnarable.

After 2 3 months letter I key poped out of key pad and now screen seems to be problematic.i find this laptop of no use.its toughness is zero.i fear 2 touch it that something may not get broken.while on other hand dell inspiron is very rough and tough.plz stay away from studio.
