Internet became very essential these days now. I subscribed to the connection of sify broadband services in lucknow at price of 650/-. It worked fine for 7-8 days then after sometime the internet connection started getting lost automatically. I complained about this to the service provider they said they will solve my problem soon. I waited for 10 days but no one from sify came up for the repair or to see the problem.


I again contacted them regarding the same issue they didn't picked up the phone I felt I totally wasted my money on such a waste thing then after few days a person came from sify and he said that the problem can not be resolved. I was disappointed with the answer of the staff member, then I withdraw my connection from them and switched to bsnl.


Please think twice before using sify broadband connection. Very poor service and customer support.

Avoid this Narrowband internet service

Although the service name is broadband, The speed feel like it was narrowband.


The charges are Moderate but the speed and quality of service is very poor.


First get behind them to make Internet settings done on your PC and then no easy support available for addressing our issues.


The connection used to get reset overnight sometimes which is not good for download enthusiastic like me.


Had to remove their connection after few months of service.

It is an internet service provider. It is good if we see for the internet plan rate. There really very cheap but if we go for the point of service quality, I think it is also a kind of cheap quality. I had Sify connection once and so I am experienced of those difficulties that I have faced that time.  There was very low network and sometimes it happened that there was no network.


And when I called to their customer care, they said that there is some technical issue which will be resolved soon, but it didn’t get resolved within the same day. It took 2 to 3 days to be resolved whenever issue was raised. So I left that and finally got another option which is much better than that

Poor service


I am having computer classes. I also train students for website.


I am in such a profession where computers and internet are must. I was having very costly broadband. So I wanted to install cheap and good speed. I got to know about this company. I was knowing it would not be so great but I thought my work will run. When I started using this. I came to know it is very bed service indeed. My students were complaining about speed. They were frustrated with the same. Finally I have reinstalled my previous provider and remove this nonsense service

Bad Service And One Of The Worst Broadband

Hi I am from tenali, andhra pradesh. I have been using this service since 6 months. first four months I did not face any problem. but I shifted to another house I am facing lot of problems. they took rs. 3000 from me as installation charges. I use internet at night time. but night time the internet is very worst. I complained several times about this issue. But they did not respond to my complaints. from one month even they did not receive my phone calls. I called them again and again but they did not lift the phone.


At night they stop internet service manually. I contacted the customer care and they told they can't find my mac address on my computer at night time. is it possible that mac address will disappear at night time and appear in day time. I contacted them personally and told my problem. The internet is ok for 15 days. but then started problem.that is your ip address is conflict with another computer.


I contacted them for this issue and please change my ip address and give a new ip address. they gave me a temporary ip address for that time.after 4 days they gave the same ip address. Some times the net connection status shows my pc connect to the internet. but the server did not connect. They stop the net manually after 11pm. and give after 8 am. I do online work at night.


I do need interrupted internet whole night. but they stop the internet service  in my working hours. I told several times to them but they did not take care about me. morning time I don't know about this worst broadband. But who use night time internet this is a waste and worst broadband for them. They took 3000 to 3500 as installation charges. but they use a cheap fiber and cheap equipments. I noticed that after power cut the server is unable to connect for some times. Sometimes it takes couple of hours. I use 1mbps speed plan. They took 550 rs per month for this plan. Sify broadband is most worst broadband.

Horrible experience with Sify Internet

I was a Sify broadband(wired) internet customer for more than 2 years. Suddenly, one day(2nd March 2013) my internet was disconnected. On enquiry, I came to know that Sify will not be providing this service anymore.


I has already purchased a 3 month plan before that, and used it for 1 month only. So, I lost my money for 2 months subscription.


Since, then I called Sify many times but no response.


The voice-machine gives a link(https://202.144.77.82/cctool/ccnew/contactnumber.htm), which doesn't open. Then I wrote emails to all the addresses given on their website(customercare@sify.com, gomathi.sitaram@sifycorp.com, Nodal.officer@sifycorp.com, Appellate.authority@sifycorp.com) in May 2013. But there is no response from their side so far.


Besides losing about Rs. 550, my biggest concern is the horrible attitude of the'Sify' people. How without any advance intimation, a company could stop its services, takes the money of the customers, and pays no attention to the correspondence of the customer. Could anybody suggest me, what should be done in this case?

Do not touch Sify "Broadband" even with someone else's bargepole. Its the worst thing you could do to yourself apart from putting your head through a barbecue grill.


Pathetic load times, pathetic to horrifying customer service. There is literally no redeeming feature of this service. Its just a big NO.

Pathetic Service, Horrible Customer Care

I have been using Sify Wireless Broadband for more than 3 yrs. At times  I used to get problem in the wireless link, but I used to get it recitified by either customer care or Local Service engineer who was there for Sify. Everything was going fine and as I use a prepaid connection I recharged it for 3 Months for Unlimited Plan.


When I tried to login 10 days back, All of a sudden, I got a pop up saying that my account is invalid. I still have 45 days of validity period and I don't know what's the problem..Then I tried to reach Customer Care both in Phone and mails. I didn't get any reply yet.


I got fed up in trying to reach customer care of Sify...I lost half of my money paid to Sify for no reason...I don't recommend Sify for Broadband connections.

Poor service of SifyBroadband Customercare

Customer care service of Sify Broadband is very poor.For last 10 days continuously I am trying Mumbai customer care no. 02202226177460 & 18604253330 but only I get answering machine feedback that ' ALL Our customer care representative are busy , try after some time'....I have renewed my account with 3U12 plan by paying Rs.4031/- for a year in month of April 2013 but on 27/06/2013 my account is disabled by Sify and for last 10 day no one replying on phone and on my email complaints.


I have emailed my problem to gomathi.sitaram@sifycorp.com & ravi.kumarbv@sifycorp.com customer care Manager but they have also not responded to my mail.........This time Sify customer care experience is very bad for me ----------gawadesr77

I have been using Sify from past 3 - 4 Years & I Found the service very good.


The Complaints get attended ASAP.


The Speed is Pretty Good.


The Engineers & Service People are Friendly.


They have good Plans.

Guys please don't even go for Sify connection as I am user of this as some Error BB109 they have to replace some hardware in Nadini Layout, taken more then week called sify care no response all are executive are busy that's the tone I am getting each time if we call simple waste money and even write customer care email id no response and finally went local vendor he told with in 30 minutes, it will be alright but believe me more then week still not resolved, so user experience please don't even go for new connection planning to change service provider.


Happened 2nd time in a month


simple waste of money simple we have recharge each time if you are not using also so imagine:(


who will take the action on this please suggest how do we rise and get the the money

Sify Broadband Pathetic Service in Bangalore

I have been using Sify Broadband services for the last 3 months. The experience is pathetic. Connection tends to get disconnected every now and then. Any fault needs at least 7 days to get rectified or even more.


Even you cannot reach the customer care as it is either busy or don't even respond.


I am facing a problem since last 15 days and still the fault is not rectified. The usual revert on mail from customer care is the back end team will get get back. I guess the whole back end team has gone for a long leave.

Frustrated with wireless leased line

We were promised that it is wireless leased line with great speed and reach and would be beneficial for some business like us. But so far, we are disappointed to see the performance of sify enterprise leased line in our office.


We have disconnected this within 15 days after subscribing this connection. Thankfully, I didn't disconnect the other Airtel and reliance normal internet connection as sify guys suggested.


Complete no no for sify wireless leased line

Do you keep customer's first?

I am a SIFY BB customer(1MB- unlimited) and would like to share my experience with you guys. Then its upto you'll to decide whats good OR whats bad.


Due to some reason I wasnt able to renew my internet connection and hence I called the SIFY support to activate my internet for 15/20 mins so that I can renew my net connection. The support guy was very helpful and he happily gave me couple of hours of free internet(256kbps) to renew my account(this is their usual process).


I get online and open up the SIFY software to pay online via netbanking. Netbanking wasnt responding, I tried again. and again. and again, but no luck. Just to cross-check if my bank services are down, I directly logged into my online banking website and it was all good. So the conclusion was that the netbanking via SIFY software is not working.


I called the SIFY helpdesk and gave the whole story, which they acknowledged and told me that "Yes sir, we can see you tried multiple times". They gave me 2 options




  1. Try after sometime and hopefully this will work(no guarantee)




  2. OR - we would send a rep(local service provider) after 2 days for collection of money and then he will activate your services.






I told them that the first option is not an option anymore and since I wanted net services asap I cant wait for 2 days as per the second option. I told them to renew my services first as anyways the rep would visit for collection and can collect the amount.(Since, this is a home connection I will not run away with my desktop and couple of hundred metres of SIFY cables). To my dissatisfaction, the helpdesk wasnt equipped with tools to help me.


Then I asked them to give me number of the local service provider and to my dissatisfaction(again) they did not have contact details for the local service provider as they are not allowed to speak with them.So SIFY has given away my netconnection to a local service provider and above that they dont even have the contact details for them. SURPRISE!


So eventually, I had no option and kept the phone. I dont have net connection for my home PC past 3 days now. This is a pathetic service considering the big talks and big promises these guys make when selling a product.


Apart from this there are persistent issues of




  1. No electricity in building where the hub is placed(causing disconnection multiple times during the week)




  2. Virus indicated in the SIFY dialer (update.exe file was infected). Above that, they told me its a problem with your Antivirus and I should disable it(WTF? disable antivirus and go online?). when I asked them to give the same thing in writing, they refused.

Cheating by Sify salesman

Sir, On 16th January 2012 Shri Sandeep contacted me for home Broadband connection. After verification from sify site regarding Day and Night Plan 384/512 kbps, I asked shri Sandeep (sales man) to give me this plan for 12 months prepaid amount of Rs. 6613. He assured me that I will get unlimited Internet Access at the speed of 384 KBPS in day / 512 KBPS in night. I  repeatedly confirmed and he assured that he is charging Rs. 6613 for 12 months Plan.


After pursuance of 17 days, today  at 6.30 p.m. I got the connection. When I saw the status of my Plan I was surprised it was three months plan for which he has charged me Rs. 6613.

GOOD AND RECOMMENDABLE

I have been using Sify for quite some time in Patel Nagar, Delhi and I can say that I am satisfied with their service. I wanted a reasonable plan within my budget and it has served the purpose. I have taken the 650/month plan and I am able to surf the net and download stuff.


Occasionally, I also watch YouTube videos but it buffers, maybe it wont with a higher plan.I referred it to a friend who is using a higher amount plan and he is able to watch YouTube videos without buffering. But I must say that I am able to watch news channels like NDTV without buffering.


Secondly, their service comes handy. They come to collect monthly advance at my doorstep. Any issues, if at all arises, is resolved swiftly with just a call.Its like a local kirana shop who delivers goods to your home and you are happy. No high fundas like with other ISP's.

Sify is better than Airtel their speed is..

Airtel is a fraud company with lot of hidden cost. Their prices are very high compared to that I like sify which are little down to earth.


Airtel is very arrogant they will charge you even if you call their call center ; even if the connection is down. I ended up paying 30 Rs for the complain that please look into my service it is down. Just ridiculous . Earlier I had sify which I had to give as I shifted my residence.


Sify's problem is their Cable Tv operators as partners.. other wise they are a good company without any hidden charges and speed is close to what they say unlike Tata or airtel where the speed they say is 2Mbps but you 64Kbps.
