DELL XPS M 1210 - one of the top of the line system - costed Rs. 75000/- In a span of two years, I faced all the problems one could see. Here is the description:Graphics card went bad Keyboard keys popped outCharger/Adapter went bad twice Speakers went badMother board went bad twiceDvd Drive went badHeat Sink went bad.
In nutshell every single component in my system went bad one after another, but still DELL kept on saying that "Our systems are RELIABLE" !!!!!!!!!! WHAT A PARADOX After putting my head for 8 long hours on phone with these guys they agreed unofficially to extend my warranty by 2 months, as if they were doing great favour to me. In this two months my DVD drive went bad. Still they didnt agree that the system has got some problem.
All of these problems, that has occurred are generic to DELL XPS M 1210, still DELL sold this sub standard product to many & ripped their hard earned money. It is surely an offense. All this & more just in a span of 1.5 year.. I was brought in a situation to extend my warranty not out of precaution but out of fear. After first year I paid Rs. 6000/ for complete cover for one more year.. But when in third year with same fear I inquired about Warranty extension, they quoted me Rs. 9000/ - which is 50% higher the previous year charges. This is a clear case of RANSOM.
I am surely kicking a case in consumer court. Anybody who would like to join me, against dell's scrupulous practice is welcome.
