Kalakar Theatre in Goa was planning a drama against underworld dons, when the Babri Masjid was demolished and terror activities were on a rise. However the drama company’s dream project didn’t take place where the underworld Don used power and influence to stop the play by burning the script.

The drama company had to content repeating its old hit drama Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam. Uday Shankar (Paresh Rawal) is playing the Shahansha of the drama where his wife Shabnam (Mallika Sherawat) plays the role of Anarkali. Uday Shankar believes that he is the greatest actor in the country where his ambitious wife made him believe so, though she wants to become a star and pretty dissatisfied with her marriage life. Young undercover RAW officer Arjun (Rahul Bose) fall in love with Shabnam and visit the drama in its each show and pass a rose or two to Shabnam. The doubtful Uday Shankar is after Arjun but lack any evidence to prove his doubt. Arjun in the meantime foil the plan of underword to plant a bomb and Arujn is known enemy to the underworld. The story moves around how Arjun uses the drama company’s talented actors to save the country from great danger.

The movie doesn’t fall in the general category of the films bollywood used to release. It is different in approach. It is a mindless comedy but the writers concentrated more on the activities than the comedy itself to limit the fun. The writing could have been much better. Slowness in pace and repeated scenes without much fun spoiled the show a bit. The director didn’t use the possibilities to create fun, in more than many occasions. As things stand it all ended up as a strictly average show.
