I recently used the services of Caravan Packers n movers last month while relocating from Mumbai to Gurgaon, they cheated me with money and the household good. It was agreed with the sales person in Mumbai that I will paid 60% of the goods transfer value in mumbai and the balance was payble in Gurgaon on delivery of household stuff at my house, they did not honoured their commitment saying their process do not allow to deliver goods without delively challan issued from their warehouse and I need to come to Sanjay gandhi nagar at GT karnal road and make the payment before the goods can be delivered to my house in gurgaon.
I got the mumbai guys on call with the delhi guys but of no help as the mumbai guys were not able to convince their delhi office on the terms this took the entire day while my goods were help-up at their godown, they threatened not to deliver the goods with n liabiilty if I do not arrange for payments. I was shell shocked with this kind of threat and requested them that can they arrange to send someone to my house to collect payment as their warehouse was very far from gurgaon. their guy came and picked-up the entire amount before the trauck was moved from their warehouse next day morning.
I was surprised to see the truck as I had signed the agreement in Mumbai to transfer goods using a door to door services in a closed container which was priced 4, 000 rupess more than the shared open truck service. I found that the truck was not the same that was loaded at my house in Mumbai and it was much larger which meand my goods was transported using a shared truck.
In addition these issues a lot of house hold stuff like my scooter, glass of my book shelf, shoe rack and lots of crockery items were broken in packets, the customer care team and the managers at Caravan Packers N movers told me that scooter damage claim need to be made with the scooter insurance complany, glass and crockery is not covered as insurance do not cover glass, they will look into the shoe rack damages. Its been more than 15 days and I am calling the Caravan Packers N movers everyday without any response. Now the related managers at Caravan Packers N movers have stopped taking my call.
I urge everyone to get greater clarity and read the fine prints before deciding on the packers n movers and never use Caravan Packers N movers
