This review will include : About, pros and cons, who benefits, should you register**I’m one of those gullible silly netizens who can be luredinto registering on to any damn site and then get spammed for the rest of theirlives.

I’d become so skeptical about this registering thing thatthe moment I see the sign up page I’d quit the site. With all this happening, I stumbled upon thistalent site called https://desitara.com and was tempted to register because of a fewgood things and few bad (you’ll know about them in the review). Personally, I’martistically challenged (meaning I’m not much of a singer or dancer or actor)but I had checked out this site out of sheer incurable curiosity and eventuallyI registered. Thankfully these people are not from the “Royal Spammers league”.

*About the site**: This site is apparently for people who havetalent and also for those who love talent. One can put up their performance andget global recognition and even a chance to act in movies, they claim (Checkthe Ticket to Bollywood page). There arevarious segments such as singing, dancing, acting, and instrumental, adventureand even magic, under which the users can upload their talent. Various industry professionals pick talentfrom this pool they say.

*Pros: ** A platform for talented ones to put up theirtalent and get watched worldwide (now you might ask why not youtube. Patience!Check the next point)

Specific categories for specific talent videos. In effect it’s not like a mixed bag of allvarieties of videos but an organized segment that is user friendly too.

Direct link to the industry biggies. This reduces theexpenses and efforts wasted on Talent agencies and bogus directors andproducers who make false promises of giving one a break in Bollywood.

Entertaining. For example there is this guy who writes Hindilyrics for Tamil musical hits and sings. Trust me, its absolute fun! And thenthere is this short film by another guy (some south Indian language but has subtitles)which was very heart touching.

Prompt response from the support team. And this is not somesystem generated automated mail but a personalized mail, which I think isimpressive.

*Should you register?** Pretty frankly, this site might just fadeaway in the presence of FB, Twitter and Orkut, as far as social networking isconcerned but if talent is the priority I think this site stands a chance. Nowthe point is there are other talent sites too, why desitara?

I don’t have an apt answer but personally I feel this siteencourages ‘original desi’ talent. If you are sick of all the melodrama andhype on the reality shows and yet wish to find talent, this site is for you.
