Step 1: Online Application Submission
The application process begins with completing an online application form, which is free of charge. You’ll need to provide essential details such as the child’s Aadhaar card number, photograph, and birth certificate. The application portal opens for filling and saving on Monday, September 2, 2024, and will remain open until Friday, September 6, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. each day.
Step 2: Submission Window
The actual “Submit” button for the application form is enabled for a brief period on specific days, meaning you may or may not see it available due to the high volume of applications. This submission is largely a matter of timing and luck. Submission days are:
Nursery at Doddakallasandra: Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Nursery at Tata Silk Farm: Monday, September 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Step 3: First Round Interview
If your application is successfully submitted, you’ll be notified about a first-round interview scheduled for your child on September 14, 2024. The interview itself is brief, about 15 minutes, and focuses on your child. For us, our daughter was quite nervous about entering the room, but the questions were simple, covering basic topics like her name, colors, and shapes, which she managed to answer.
Step 4: Second Round Interview
On October 3, 2024, we received a notification for a second-round interview, which was scheduled for October 17, 2024, with Deepa Sridhar. This interaction was much shorter, lasting around 2 minutes.
Step 5: Final Results
We are now waiting for the final results, which are expected to be announced in the first or second week of November. It’s unclear if we will receive a notification if our application is rejected.
Advice and Final Thoughts
The admission process can be quite competitive, so patience is essential. It’s a good idea to apply to other schools in parallel to keep your options open. The fee structure at Kumarans School is approximately ₹1.25 lakh for the first year, which is expected to decrease in subsequent years.
