Suggestion Required

Posted on Oct 20, 2008 04:27 PM under General

Hi guys:

A small suggestion is required. We have been getting quite a few emails from members regarding comments on SMS Reviews. Some members feel that because of too many comments, their mobile Inbox gets flooded. We looked into this issue and noticed that a lot of members (in their enthusiasm of course, not out of any malice) post too many comments, many of which are irrelevant and in no way connected with the SMS review. We have no objections with the comments and the eagerness which goes behind them, but it is the members who find it inconvenient since these comments find their way to their Inbox.

At an internal meeting, it was suggested that we restrict the number of comments per member to 10. Another great suggestion was that we leave the decision to you - our members.

Please do let us know of your opinion by tomorrow 23:59 hrs. If the majority of members say NO to restriction then we shall respect your decision and if most of you say YES, then YES it shall be.

Jasmine Ahuja

MouthShut Trusted Circle Feed

Posted on Oct 15, 2008 11:35 AM under Truted Circle Feed

Hi all,

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘Trusted Circle Feeds’ feature.

What is Trusted Circle?

MouthShut.com enables you to create your own Trusted Circle which consists of members whose opinions/advice about any specific product or service you can trust. This works the other way round also where other users can trust you for the same.

What is Trusted Circle Feed?

Trusted Circle Feed shows you the recent activities of your trusted circle friends on your Dashboard

What are the activities users can see in My Trusted Circle Feed?

1. Someone adds you in his/her Trusted Circle
2. Trusted Circle Member writes Review
3. Trusted Circle Member writes Diary Post
4. Trusted Circle Member uploads Photo
5. Someone sends Gift to you
6. Trusted Circle Member sends Gift to someone
7. Trusted Circle Member adds someone in his/her Trusted Circle

How Trusted Circle Feed helps?

From Trusted Circle Feed you can easily go to the Review/Diary written by your Trusted Circle member and you can read it instantly instead of navigating so many pages.

Waiting for your response. Always eager to help.

Cheers!
Vikram.

Site Filter Settings

Posted on Oct 04, 2008 12:25 PM under Site Filter

Hi all,

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘Site Filter Settings’feature.

What are Site Filters?

Site Filters allow you to filter the opinions and reviews that interest you most

How it is useful?

It helps in a way that you can see the reviews listed in ‘Read All Reviews Page’ according to your Filter Settings.

The first setting is:

Please select the order you want reviews sorted by”

a) Read Volumes - Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order of the number of times read by members.

b) Trusted Circle – Reviews are sorted by Trusted Circle members’ written review.

Trusted Circle Filter setting is the default for all MouthShut Members once they have registered and activated their MouthShut ID.

c) Product Rating – Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order of the rating given by Review Writer

d) Review Date – Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order by Time and Date

e) Review Rating – Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order by Overall Rating of the reviews.

The second setting is:

Select the types of reviews you would like to see

· Very Useful, Useful, Somewhat Useful, Not Useful, Not Rated – Displays only the reviews which you have selected.

For example, if you wish to see only ‘Very Useful’ and ‘Useful Rating’ Reviews then on selecting so, you will see only those reviews which are Rated ‘Very Useful’ and ‘Useful’ and hides the other Rating Reviews.

Finally:

If you unselect the check box in “Showmembers I distrust and their contentunderTrusted Circle, Reviews written by the members in your Distrust List will not be shown.

How can I go to the Site Filters Page?

a. Log in and go to your Dashboard Page.

b. Go to My Settings Page under Member's Panel

c. Select the Site Filter Tab.

d. Select and Update your settings as you wish.

Please note, all changes will be applicable only in “Read All Review Pages”.

Waiting for your response. Always eager to help.
