Your wish fulfilled

Bajaj pulsar is an excellent combination of style and performance which most of public admires. Its fuel efficiency is like glitter on gold as this performer is so light on your pocket.

the best thing comes from bajaj as this product is said to be cheaper than the bikes in same power category;namely the hero honda CBZ,suzuki FIERO 150,kinetic GF125 .what else could one ask for .its time to rejoice as we have got a bike which excells in almost everything. The 18litre petrol tank adds to the glory of the bike as it is one of the largest petrol tanks on any bike.its beautiful styling has been designed in tokyo.

The main feature of this bike is that it is the FASTEST of all(120.6KMPH)four stroke bikes in INDIA;at present.I bet no other powerful and quick bike is available with DISC brakes at just a meagure amount of Rs.48,000.

so isn't it the best

Hey friends...

now heres the most awaited and talked about bike in india

well I dont wanna waste ur time by givig the specifications of teh two models (150 & 180 cc) again cause my friend has already done that in teh first review of this bike..

well the 180cc bikes haulls ass...

and so does the 150 cc...

The 150cc bike easily beats any Cbz and Fiero.. though the latter might prove to be good competition in teh top end... but with clever use of teh accelerator and intelligent gear changing u can beat it very easily..

the 180cc model ke to kya kehne...

i raced the 180 cc with Yamaha Rx 100 and also with the BigBoss (Shogun) the 2 strokers do leave the Pulsor behind in the intial pick up but as soon so u near 45-50 they r left behind and yes the 180cc does touch a top speed of more than 125kms/ph...

well the bike is pretty good but there some faults on it too..

the exhaust note could have been better...

and there is a problem with the gears too the bike gets stuck while changing from first to second and vice versa...

well its one hell of a bike that has been completely designed by Indians.. and I salute to the design team of baja ....

Thanku very much guys for a Wonderful bike...

NEW Pulsar DTS-i twins December 2003 Attraction
Dec 24, 2001 09:31 AM 24670 Views

December 2003 and India will see two new Pulsars. In 2002 these muscular machos created a huge stir in the indian biking and now welcome the new Pulsar twins. Ever since the RD 350 was launched only the RX 100 could create enthusiasts and speaking of splendor which hade huge volumes was nothing but low choice of fuel economy and stylish bikes in the 1990s but Bajaj Pulsar changed this and we had an out and out class bike form our own HAMAARA INDIAN BAJAJ. The Pulsar DTS-i 150 and 180 cc versions have improved the already 'sucessful' bike.

Lets See the brief changes:

Engine:

The engines of both the pulsar 150 and 180 have freshly designed engine heads and new combustion chambers in order to achieve better combustion charge without altering the compression ratio. In simple words both the engines Brake horse powers(BHP) have increased to 13bhp@8500rpm in 150cc DTS-i and 16bhp@8200rpm in 180cc DTS-i and the max torque is 1.19kgm@6500rpm than 1.1kgm in the earlier 150cc and 1.5kgm@6500rpm compared to 1.34kgm in the earlier 180cc. AND in addition an eight bit microprosessor is incorporated in in the Pulsars engine management which maps engine loads to timing advance accordingly. Throttle Response Ignition Control System (TRICS III) is planted on the carburettor to enable the right time frame necessary for ignition advance which, in turn, optimises the load bearing ability of the engine. also an extra spark plug is added for thermal efficiency. The Newly designed exhaust compiles with EURO 2005 norms.

Performance:

The Pulsars were designed for high speed action and the new brothers are no exception. The Weight of both the bikes have been increased by 2 kilos but the electronic upgrade in the engine and the second spark plug have superbly improved the performance of the machines. The Harshness in the in the earlier engines have been reduced. And high speed driving on pulsars have just got more better. Although the 150cc is the mass favourite and logical bike the 180cc DTS-i is power house with a sensational 125kph top speed and the 150cc DTS-i has 120kph top speed. The Bikes perform well at all speeds and cornering is also stable.

Fuel Efficiency:

Both the earlier bikes, as all know, were decently fuel efficient and the new DTS-i twins have not shown much better fuel efficiency than the eariler Pulsars. I mean to say that the 150cc DTS-ireturns around 50 - 60 kms/litre and the 180cc returns 40-50km/litre which is very fair for the bikes, Remember the CBZs And the RD/Rx could not return similar or better figures in this department only the brilliant Fiero F2 is more on the Efficient side but the power to weight is again variable.

LOOKS:

The New Pulsars have NEW HEADLIGHT FAIRING which literally stares at you and says ''DONT MESS WITH ME !!!''. It only got more Handsome than the earlier Pulsars , Although if you couldnt digest the new fairing look one can also get the round headlamp version on the DTS-i. Other all things are same .

Conclusion:

If you are giong to buy a bike in the near future wait for the new ''Upgraded'' Pulsars and you will bless me for that....
