The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is a bit like Amanda Lepore – a bit overdone! The Pulsar 200NS is a fairly sharp motorcycle, if not exactly attractive. The Pulsar RS200, mechanically, is broadly based on the 200NS – but Bajaj gave it a healthy dose of surface reconstruction, which went a bit south. There’s a sense of overdone everything in the way the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 meets your eye. The front-end looks like it’s got a heavy snout and the headlamps look like exaggerated eyes with a great deal of mascara decoration in the form of loud decals. The entire styling provides an impression of the bike being pointlessly busy and aggressive. I can’t even begin to imagine how lovely the design could’ve turned out if it had been neat and straightforward. There was potential in the 200NS, as we realised during our Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Review, to be turned into a really impressive fully-faired machine. The RS doesn’t do justice to it – at least in the looks department.

The Pulsar RS200, just before its launch event, was advertised with a caption that read, “Leave track racing to amateurs, ” yet the very many of us motoring hacks were at Bajaj’s test-track to get our first impression of the bike. Either Bajaj has a strange sense of humour, or there was something ironic about the whole thing – I’m not entirely sure.

The Pulsar RS200 is being touted as being the “fastest Pulsar yet.” I’m not completely sold on that, but the bike felt plenty fast. The sprocketing has been altered in favour of high-speed stuff, and going full pelt on the main straight the needle touched 148km/h, during our Pulsar 200 Review, with the throttle maxed out – that should translate to over 140km/h of true top speed. But there’s an issue – the engine, though quite refined, does get buzzy around the top end and you feel the vibrations through the seat. That can cause either great excitement or slight pain, or both.

During our Pulsar 200 Review, I rode the bike at slow to moderate speeds – and to be fair, at city speeds, through any gear, the RS should feel rewarding. What I couldn’t do, however, was take the bike out on regular roads to measure its acquiescence to our stupid road conditions. But I did ride it on the basic tarmac irregularities that I could find around the test track, and the softly set-up suspension should be good enough to deliver a decent ride quality.

On the track, conversely, I had my heart in my mouth a couple of times. Leaning into a medium-fast left-hander, which immediately flows into an equally fast right-hander, the suspensp the anchor suddenly, or with heavy force, and that’s a bit unnerving. This isn’t a bike that’s attack-mode ready – this isn’t really an ‘entry-level sports bike’ to bmpletely honest. T

Before I booked this bike I being ride of my friend bike which is really comfortable while riding and this company have many colour which looks fantastic and to controlling is also best to ride. GUys bought this bike a year ago till now had no issue.The bikes comes with 199.5cc engine with 23.5 bhp power just a light difference from rs 200.First of the riding position is quiet good and the handling is superb around corners and for long rides.The pros is the engine is just powerful, value of money which is the 1st priority. Then comes the looks which is quiet aggressive.The best part is that when you ride the bike around 5-6000rpm the engine just roar for more throttle and guys believe it you gonna love it. It comes with bybre disc brakes front and rear brakes which is quiet good.It comes to halt from 60-0 kms in 4.2sec.Now the cons is that the mileage which is around 32-35 km/l. So what you are getting a beast, not to worry about mileage.Then the pillion seat is little stiff in comfortable.It would be better if Fuel Injection was available.It provides carburetted engine.The riding through city is quiet good but while in traffic you have to change the gear down to ride again.For if you are riding at 30 km/hr in 3rd gear and speed comes to 18-20 you have to gear down to 2nd gear to speed again.Sometimes the gear shift is bit hard to change.The bike is best for those who value for money and dream of getting a sports performance.Note if your height is less than 5'4' inch you gonna feel a bit difficult while riding this bike riding position is high enough from the ground as the silencer is just below the riding position for better ground clearance.The top speed I have rode is 143 km/hr.And the best part is that you will feel less vibration which is quiet good. Approx 9 year back I bought bajaj pulsar 200 motorcycle from kerol bagh which is in delhi. That time it was launched new. I drived this bike on road and off road too and I must say it is a great discovery of bajaj in bike industry. Its looks is very great and eye catching. I persnally own pulsar AS 200 I was really excited to ride this bike since it was launch I love its pick up look comfort ride height is very good makes u feel diffrent then other bikes red colour looks the best shiny attractive the bikes looks awsome the head light projection is very powerful and reliable guys full economy is more then average it was lot better then expected bike gives me around 25kmpl in city and around 35+ on highways and long drives but one problem I feel is it is not very easy to handle other bikes are lot more easy to handle

Looks: The AS 200 is definite winner in look segment .The projector headlamp and visor make will definitely attract the buyer. The tank of the AS 200 is go good with the projected Lamps. Mirrors are big which give the rider good visibility and the rear wider tyre giving it a muscular look.

Engine: The liquid cooled 199.5 cc motor and power of 23. 2 bhp

Suspension: The Pulsar AS 200 has mono shock suspension which is really good and you hardly feel any jerks.

Brakes: It has 280 mm front disc and 230 mm rear. Which is really good in emergency situation if you want to apply break immediately anywhere.

Tyres: The front tyre is 100mm and the rear is 130 mm. As the rear tyre is wider it will give the confidence to rider while take turn on sharp corner and also its very helpful in rain as there is less possibility of slipping the bike.

Performance: The pulsar AS 200 has 23.5 PS of power and torque output at 18.35 Nm. The combination giver very good performance to the bike.

AS 200 is almost same like RS 200. I woould like ro give one feedback to bajaj i.e in price segment if we have motorcycle like pulsar 220 , AS 150 , so according to me we do not want AS200. And if I talk about the specification AS 200 is 24bhp however RS 200 is 25bhp.

And price segment is unexpected high . Moreover I request bajaj for the perimeter frame it is very good for handling motorcycle such is 200 CC. Please upgrade AS 200 with perimeter frame and ABS . Rest you are doing well

AS 200 has 4 valve and 23.5 bhp with compared with pulsar 220 which has 2 valve 21 bhp \n\nsmooth handling and grip \n\ntop speed I have on highway is 149 kmph , gps : 144kmph \n0-100 : 9.1 secs \noverall its specs is as similar to duke 200 and saves you around 55000 rs \n \nmileage on highway , continuously cruising at 70kmph will give you 42kmpl\n\nin city I got around 28kmpl\n \ngo for it , you wont regret \n\n\ncons: \nvibration at 5000-6000rpm at first two gears after its smooth as butter\n\nheavier than ns 200 by 12kgs and 30kgs more than pulsar 220\n\nnot for short people like me 5\'6\ as we will find difficult to manage in traffic\n

This bike sound was very bad and average was poor I dont like it the looks of bike was not really good the suspension of the bike are very hard and setting comfort is very bad the gap between seat and handle was long thats why the backward portion of body pained wan we drive this bike for long time the indicator of this bike is very small.

I am regular buyer of pulsar series since from 2008 previously I have owned pulsar 150 and 180 dtsi now moving to next generation this bike arrives with immence comfort and sporty look.

I have been great fan of pulsar series this bike fulfill my dreams at only 1 lakh budget this give tough competetion for ktm series the technology which bajaj has used in this bike is amazing you guys should have go through test ride and I bet for sure u will fall in love with this.

Given below is my personal opinion with experience of 8 months-

FEATURES-1. pickup excellent 2.braking fantsatic 3.handling superb 4.no vibrations at all 5.enjoyable at high speed 6.power 23 to 24 bhp near to ktm duke 7.adventure sport in some ways only 8.mileage is only 35-40 9. stable at high speed 10. comfort is very good

CONS - 1.tyres are not so good in rainy seasons 2.abs is not available 3.high maintance 4.irritable sound of throttle and gear box but that is negligible

overall bike is more tha enough must buy this bike if you are touring person who loves to tour and good for college going guys I must say perfect sport bike for begginner!

I m lower family background so lots of money spend on petrol. But look very nice for new girlfriend. Only double siter use for girlfriend boyfriend not for family member like a mom baba But fainaly looking nice.

As the name goes Pulsar As200, As stands for adventure sports. The moter is 199cc liquid cool engine with carborater with triple spark 4 valve DTS-i technology. The bike features a projecter headlamp which comes often usefull in night time with a supportive DRL(day time running light). It has a semi faired fairing and a windshield in front which helps to reduce windblast at high speed and make the bike more stable om highway. The engine pumps 23.5 ps of power and 18.3NM of torque which comes at 9500rpm and 8000rpm respectively, which is more than enough for riding the bike in city. It comes mated with a 6 speed gearbox. When it comes to breaking it has best class stopping power with 280mm front disc and 230mm rear disc brakes. For the touring purpose it features a 12 litre tank which can last upto 450km easily.

Ride quality

When it comes to riding in city, it is such a delight. Nitrox mono suspension makes the ride comfortable for both rider and pillion. With the help of perimeter frame it can be easily flicked in traffic and with a kerb weight of 153 kg it dosent feel heavy. The brakes perform well when its time to shed some speed. On highway it builds some serious speed and can easily touch 135km/ph. When coming to fuel economy it retains around 35km per litre in city and 40km per litre on highways.

average 12 litre fuel tank, no abs, vibrations at high rev.

Verdict

People should buy this bike if they need a bike which can do some offroading, city rides, touring. Perfect bike for learners and student. With an ex showroom price of Rs 91, 550(Delhi) its a bike with very good value.
