Service of engine is very good and have digital twin spark ingition ( DTS-i ) for high fuel efficincy. And in power this bike is boss of all. Having Amazing power output. Unbelievable performance .

Good thing in this bike is having high capacity fuel tank.

Bajaj discover 135 dtsi with self start is a mid range bike for the common man, but with a sporty look has also been successful in attracting youngsters for a reasonable price. It's availability in different colours gives the buyer a decent set of options to choose from.

In the beginning the comfort was good, the bike had a really cool pickup but in a year or two despite servicing at frequent intervals the bike looses its pickup. Also, since the wheels have a shorter diameter with a lesser width, it does not offer a comfortable grip on the wet roads. The mileage gradually reduces to under 40 kmpl. and the bike never topped 105 kmph. The engine starts emitting some serious smoke just as the speedometer shows a 35000+ km reading.

So, if you are willing to buy the vehicle for a comparatively shorter duration of usage the bike is just fine in good looks and in comfort. But, I suggest if you are planning on using it for more than 5 years please do not go for this bike as you might have to spend a considerable fraction of your time at the service centers and might also have to spend a huge chunk of your money on the bike.

Bajaj Discover 135 DTS-i is one of the best option in this segment. it gives good mileage along with sufficient power. some feature are new which like parking headlight There are some of new features on the bike but there are an equal number of features that have gone off it. The exposed chain is gone, replaced by the ordinary closed box that encapsulates the chain. Also missing is the chrome finish silencer. Bajaj removes the chrome bit when they launched the black theme in their lineup but even then there was a piece on the silencer that was made of shiny chrome. .are really good. in this segment other bike is not so up to the mark controlling and comfort is one of the key for this.

if you are looking for more style and power this is not for you its for economical guys.

My first bike was bajaj and second bike is bajaj but my third bike is not gonna be a bajaj. At earlier that bikes engine used to be more Sound less but within 8-9 months got some serious issues in the engine and I had to go to the service centre for checkup several times. Even the company gave the battery is not so useful, its down every time since the 5 months after I bought the bike. That bike has some comfort there is nothing to say, the shoker of the bike is so smooth and easy even with a great mileage of 62 kmpl. The looks and style are good but the engine, brake, battery, chain is too laggy. I recommend not to buy this bike even its new models

I purchased it second hand in 18000rs. It came with front disk break and self start .its looking is very splendid and I feel great to have it.

I love its sound and its performance .you will fell comfortable when you ride it.its handling ia too good it stops within 3-4 sec when you take both breaks together.

I took road trips on this 2 wheel I guess almost all over India. From Kanyakumari to jammu and kashmir. I won't lie and tell you that it was as comfortable as ducati and ktm but it is reliable

I ride this bike in the hilly terrain of Darjeeling and Sikkim where it needs full pick up to maintain the rhythm of the ride. It does great.

This bike is very suitable for high altitudes. It gives me 54 kms. in 1 ltr. What else do I need from my lovely bike

This bike age are 7 years. but engine are same as new condition . the bike also run 82000km. still the milage of the bike are 55 above and the top speed are 110km per hr., clutch plate, timing chain, valve are not changing.so thanks bajaj company to give me the nice bike.

Engine

Bajaj's dual-plug DTS-i is used to make the four stroke engine more efficient. The engine has a single cylinder and releases energy of 13.1bhp @ 8500rmp and it is air cooled to facilitate a smooth ride for the biker. The combustion is effective and has Keihin CV carburetor. The clutch is comfortable to use and the four gears can be changed from one to another with much ease.

Design And Comfort

Competing with biggies like the Pulsar and its 125 cc predecessor, New Discover 135 cc has proved itself to be a winner considering its class. The engine, silencer and shock absorber are all treated with the black paint Finish938844. The headlight and the sound of the horn are impressive. A new tachometer, fuel gauge and a trip meter show the style statement of the bike. The color combination of red and blue strip gives a great look to the bike. The chassis is a double-cradle type and is similar to 125 cc model. The bike has many features similar to Bajaj Pulsar 150cc model and also a few characteristics and parts from the Discover 125cc. The bike has an O-ring and a well placed drive chain.

Ride And Handling

The rear tyre is fatter than the one on the older 125cc variant. Swing arm pivot section and rubber tray-guard at the centre base make it more stylish. The new suspension helps the rider have a smooth ride. The front suspension is telescopic that checks a travel of 130mm and is one of the best of its type. Seat and Handle bar are placed in a manner to give stability to the rider. The bike can go up to 105 kmph on a good road. The fuel efficiency can go up to 55kmpl. It is a bike with no comparison to other models available in a reasonable cost. It is a complete package taking care of the needs of average riders with an affordable price attached to it.

I use this bike from last 7 years and I never get any major problem in it but there is some always problem in my disk break from the starting.

Another good bike from Bajaj. Fuel comsumption is high due to more cc engine.

Control is very good. The bike has perfect balance. It has disc brake at front wheel which is a nice addition. Comfortable as you can ride 150-200 km in one go. I have personally rode it at top speed of 100kmh without any problem.

Self start is plus point for traffic prone areas. Gear system is ok, I personally like the dual liver gear system as it saves your foot or shoes from getting hurt while changing gears.

Overall its a good bike at this price range and bajaj has been best in creating better bikes till now.

Bajaj's  Discover 135 DTS-i is the bike that can be assume as a mixture of all the things but in very small quantity. Like if we say about brand name Bajaj well good enough to trust, engine performance average as compare to low end platina and high end pulsar and DTS-i technology to make the fuel consumption good but not the best.

Specifications of this bike are 134.21 cc of engine, with 10 liters of fuel tank capacity, electric as well as kick start and telescopic suspension from which rear one is adjustable. It gives 70 -75 kmpl of mileage.

My personal recommendation to this bike is that if you like to taste small amount of everything a bike can offer, then go for this bike. Otherwise either increasing budget a more, one can buy the good name of Bajaj that is Pulsar.

I purchased my first bike as Bajaj Discover 135CC DTSi engine on 03 April 2009 from Bikaner Rajasthan. I was very passionate about bikes at that time. I was confused between Hero Honda Glamour and Bajaj Discover. At last I decided to go for Discover. The price of bike was Rs 45000 only. Total price I paid for on road bike was Rs 55000. At that time on January 2009 model, there were no disc brakes but self start was there.  So I got self start feature only. On July 2009 model, they started giving front wheel disc with same price. I got disappointed, but its okay.

This was my luck not to avail the facility of disc brakes. The pickup of bike is awesome. After these many years, almost after 7 years of purchase, the pickup is same as of a new bike. I love the bike because of its low maintenance. Initially I used to go to Bajaj service center for routine servicing. After 8 th paid servicing, I am not using authorized service station for servicing because warranty period of bike is crossed. Now a days after every six months, I am just changing the engine lub oil and cleaning the air filter only as a part of maintenance.

The mileage it is delivering is 45 - 50 km/l which is very nice for an 135 cc engine. Now a days the model 135 cc is fully extinct from market. I suggest Bajaj to relaunch the model with its old look with inbuilt joint triangular front indicators pointing towards front. Thank you

I find this bike very economical in it's range of bikes, I have been riding this bike for last 4 years and so far it has never let me stand between the road.

The pick up is very good along with average which is around 55km/ltr. You can also go for long ride with this bike from 0 to 200 km with no issues.

Bajaj Discover bike is one of the reliable and trustworthy bike in it's range of bikes.

At last, I would recommend you to go for this bike if you are confused under 150CC bikes.

I have my discover 135 for more than a year.i enjoyed driving with it but my only problem is that it can run only at 105km/hr.

I tried to changed the combination of engine and rare sprocket, but the same could only run at 105km/hr.i also try to used open mupler but it runs the same mileage.I want to replace the CDI with a racing cdi but I could not find it here.anybody can help find a cdi with no limiter for my discover 135?

Real meaning of bajaj discover is - Best bike Discover by Bajaj. My Neighbour friend have bajaj discover 135 DTS - I .

It's a best bike for who wants normal looks , low fuel consumption means High Average , Low Price etc.

When my neighbour friend purchased it, I said your choice is not too good. Then he replied me that Not Each dream we can get , but  we can get some our dream fulfil through our savings.

I appreciated his thoughts. And I realized that this bike is best compared to others which are high price models. And it's very easy to handle and no repair are requirements in future .

I bought this bike 3 years ago and it was my first bike. The bike is good in terms of mileage with the fuel efficiency of 45-50kmpl and the reason why I bought this bike.

But I have faced certain issues with the bike also.

The bike is comfortable but for long rides it's not very good, also the braking is really hard because of its weight. As its heavy it take really good breaking to get it to stop.

The another thing is that even though bajaj parts and maintaining charges or service charges are less still it needs consistent repair every now and then and in short the maintainance is really much.

The bike also has sime viberation problems that means if you are going fast enough like at the speed abive 70 the front tyre and the body will start to viberate making it uncomfortable to ride sometimes also which creates problem for handeling, also not having tubeless tyre was also a good thing when every manufacturer of bikes are providing this feature .

But if you are looking at a good bike at a 55-60k segment with a really good fuel efficiency for a regular commute from office to home or to collage etc.This bike is really suitable and I recommemd this bike.

This is my first bike and it is still running like a beast and I just love this bike but bajaj bikes needs to much maintenance  and milege of my bike is not good. .

Pros.powerful and smooth engine, handling is great and suspension is also very good you can go on a long drive.very nice digital meter CONS. .mileage is not good .vibration after 70 km /hour speed. .too much maintenance. .tyres are not tubeless
