A lone robot trots down a path of the junk neatly arranged in huge piles. A mechanical job , which he performs day in and day out without any grouse. Of course why must he grouse coz he is just a mere robot, he is not supposed to have any emotions.

But surprisingly, he does posses an emotional streak. The way he searches for another living soul to bond, the way he looks out for treasure in the huge junkyard and mostly the way he sighs over the old romantic number( of Hello! Dolly). **Wall-E****(voice created by Ben Burtt) **just urges you strongly to hug him. He is as cute as a button.  In his everlasting quest for finding interesting stuff he also comes across a live green sapling. The first of its own kind.

Anyways his inquisitive nature brings him across a UFO , from which emerges  **Eve(voice of ****Elissa Knight****).** The Lady robot of his dreams. He immediately takes in after her. In a process to save her from a sandstorm, he takes her to his storage cum house. He shows her the sapling , and she unfastens herself, stores it and gets mutant. He tries to get a reaction from her, but in vain. Days pass in caring for her, hauling her along with, saving her from rains and lightning.

In short he is completely besotted with her. UFO returns to take her back , and Wall-E runs after the ship and clings onto it. He ends up in a planet where the human beings have been residing since past 700 years. They have lost their bone mass, become obese and are used to all the mechanical luxuries provided.

The comfort which was provided 700 years back by a company Buy n Large’s CEO **Shelby Forthright (****Fred Willard****).** In lieu of cleaning up the earth, the human beings were transported to these satellites. But the failure of process urged the mankind to continue staying afloat in space.

Wall-E creates quite a stir there in search of Eve, and brings on some smiles and happiness to the mechanical life of the robot like human beings. They including their **Captain B. McCrea (****Jeff Garlin****), **just realize the simple pleasures of life and remember the place they belong to, Earth….

Ironically Wall-E is a movie of a robot teaching the mechanical human beings a thing or two about life. I was quite cynical when I went for this movie and was too sure that I am spoiling my taste after Rock On. But I was pleasantly surprised. The movie just trotted like Wall-E right into my heart. A lesson which I had so picked up from Rock On, just took its nourishment from this film. The roots of realizing my passions , and chucking away a life which is so mechanical. A life which gave me no satisfaction in the end of the day.

Wall-E is about walking alone, and gaining small achievements each day. Of keeping an everlasting hope that the dream or ambition will surely gain a momentum one day. Its about comprehending that even a robot knew that he needed a few things besides work and duties. A quest he had for searching another soul and finding somebody to call his own. The courage and determination with which he follows his ambition is noteworthy. In the process of doing so also he accidentally leads the robotic humankind to the path of humanity.

It can in no manner be ignored as just another animation movie or some juvenile stuff. The movie holds substance and a message conveyed in the subtle yet strong manner.

*Andrew Stanton**, the creator of the movie had brain waved this on the concept, **"What if mankind evacuated Earth and forgot to turn off the last remaining robot?”.**With this excellent concept he creates a masterpiece of the movie.

*WALL-E** (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) and **EVE** (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) weave human emotions into robotic movements. Courtesy Cinematographer **Roger Deakins, **scenes like the ones which showed them twirling in the space are commendable. Even the huge junks piled in form of buildings make me gasp in awe.

The Original Sound Track **Down to Earth **just made me watch out for the reruns of the video on youtube. Sung by **Peter Gabriel** , it comes as the climax of the movie.

On and on the movie comes as a novel concept of **Pixar**. And though it might appear as an effort going waste, for taking the trip to cinema hall for this one. Trust me it does not fail. The emotions of cuddling Wall-E, being in awe of him, enjoying his stunts and on the whole respecting the character, override the viewer.

*It takes slight to be a robot and lot to be a human being!*
