VLC media player is a great media app and supports almost all of the audio/video format. Thats the reason why users download it. Though I use it myself but I want to tell you something you might not be aware of. You might have seen that in VLC media player you can increase your volume upto 200 .
Which might seem to be a good feature but theres high chance of your PC's / Laptop's speakers being damaged. One of my friend's speakers were damaged due to this few days before.Last year a service engineer from Hp came to my home as I filed a complaint against my battery which was't working properly. He then told me that VLC is not recommended by laptop companies and it might damage speakers and If speakers got damaged cause of VLC they will not cover it under warrenty.
I would recommend you to not to increase the volume in VLC by more than 100 to avoid damage.
