Total Scam: upGrad's MBA Program Is a Trap. Review on upGrad

🚨 My Honest Review: The Online upGrad MBA Scam Stay Away!

In June 2024, I enrolled for an MBA with the University of Europe for Applied Sciences(Dubai Campus) through upGrad, and what I experienced was nothing short of an online upGrad scam disguised as a premium education offer.

🎯 What Was Promised:

An upGrad sales executive reached out after my initial inquiry. He pitched a dream deal:

Total course duration: 18 months(20 ECTS online+ 70 ECTS on campus).

Total program fee under AED 40, 000.

Job assistance promised before arriving in Dubai including scheduling interviews, alumni connections, and job placement help.

Earning potential in Dubai? You can make 25K AED monthly, he said.

Convinced, I paid ₹;4.5 lakhs within 7 days to secure my seat. And thats when the real fraud started.

😡 What Actually Happened:

The course began one month late, with no communication.

The online learning platform was poorly built you couldnt interact with professors, and technical issues were frequent.

Professors were mostly Indian, not the international faculty we were led to expect.

By November, we completed the 20 ECTS online portion. After that? No classes, no updates, no job assistance nothing from November to March.

We were told wed get jobs right after finishing 20 ECTS we even quit our jobs based on this promise. But there was zero help, zero interviews, and zero support from upGrad.

💸 The Financial Exploitation:

Suddenly in February, upGrad sent us unconditional offer letters from the university and told us we had 1 week to pay ₹;12 lakhs, or our admission would be cancelled. Reminder: upGrad itself delayed the process by months.

Even after paying, they took 3 weeks to process our documents. Then came the visa fee another ₹;2.2 lakhs, to be paid urgently.

Meanwhile, the actual university course had already started. We were still in India, waiting helplessly.

🧳 After Reaching Dubai:

No welcome.

No accommodation support.

No local job assistance.

No representative from upGrad followed up after we landed.

We later met non-upGrad students who had joined directly they paid only ₹;13 lakhs for the exact same course, while upGrad had charged us around ₹;19 lakhs including visa and other fees.

⚠ Conclusion: Online upGrad Scam Exposed

From false job promises to delayed processes, unexplained fee hikes, and non-existent student support upGrad is a scam that preys on student dreams.
