I have used Tikona WiBro for a brief period of five years, from 2011 to mid 2016. There are many issues with company itself let alone be the service. It was a new company which gave Internet connection in our locality. Prior to that Sify, BSNL and Reliance were the only company who provided internet connection in our area. Sify was limited to certain locality and members. BSNL has waiting time of six months and speed was 512 KBPS. Reliance was expensive and use to work on 2G spectrum, not worth for money. I remember for 1.4 GB they sent me 1100 bill once.


Then came Tikona with a bang, great speed, amazing plans, great service. Soon these things went downhill as speed was a issue, frequent disconnection, RTO (Request Time Out), billing issue. Their employees were thugs and cheaters. There was this procedure in Tikona that to get internet access you have to login. a username and password was required. So some sales executive use to install devices to customers and give User ID and password of other customers and use to take money from them. Earlier eight devices could register on one ID Pass, so these mastermind took benefit of it. Because an ID was shared among eight people the speed used to be very slow if was eight people logged in together.


If a customer failed to pay bill then employees used to threaten them saying legal action would be taken against them by issuing fake notice letter of High Court. There were many scams like overcharging for the LAN cable, router, RJ45 clip and stuff. They lost many users because of this. I switched to DNA in mid 2016 and I am happy. Recently a friend of mine took new connection, the company is revamped with new management and team. Still there is speed issue and rates have gone a bit higher.
