I recently booked the "Vet at Home" service from ThePetNest for my dog, Picasso and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The service was advertised as starting at Rs. 699, which includes a full body health checkup, nutrition guidance and medications and a general health check, and I was thoroughly impressed with how smooth everything went. Dr. Pradeep arrived right on time fully prepared with all the necessary equipment. He was professional, calm and gentel with Picasso, wo tens to get anxious around new people. Dr. Pradeep immediately won Picasso over by taking the time to let him get comfortable before starting the checkup.
The consultation began with a detailed full-body health examination, Dr. Pradeep carefully checked Picasso's eyes, mouth and teeth, commenting on how clean his teeth were and offering helpful advise on maintaining his oral health. He even checked Picasso's coat and skin for any potential issues, paying special attention to areas where dogs can be prone to allergies or rashes. This level of attention really reassured me that Picasso was getting a thorough checkup. Next, Dr. Pradeep carefully felt Picasso's joints and limbs, making sure there were no signs of discomfort or stiffness. He explained yhat regular joint checks are important, especially as dogs age, to catch any signs of arthiritis or other issues. He was very gentle theoughout and Picasso stayed calm the entire time which is a testament to the vet's caring approach.
When it came time for the vaccination, Dr. Pradeep explained the process clearly. Picasso received the Nobivac DHPPi and Nobivac Lepto vaccines and Dr. Pradeep made sure I understood the importance of these vaccinations for protecting against common dog diseases. He also patiently explained the potential side effects of the vaccine like mild lethargy or slight swelling at the injection site but assured me that these would subside within a day or two. One thing I appreciated was how transparent Dr. Pradeep was about the cost of medications. The charges for the vaccines were explained upfront and everything was very reasonable. He didn't just administer the vaccines and leave. He stayed for a while to obeserve Picasso while he was having some tea and make sure he was okay post-vaccination which gavee peace of mind.
The constitution also included helpful nutrition advice. I had some concerns about Picasso's diet and whether he was getting all the nutrition he needed. Dr. Pradeep provided excellent guidance on the types of food that would benefit Picasso considering his breed and activity level. He even recommend a few specific brands and types of food, along with the portion sizes, to ensure Picasso stays in optimal health. In total, the service was incredibly thorough and convenient. I loved that we didn't have to leave the house and stress Picasso out with a trip to the clinic. The vet brought the clinic to us and the care and the attention to detail were exceptional.
