Hi am using TS services for over 4~5 years now. about last 10 days I have been facing issue of signals distortion in few channels(AXN, Z cafe) & star world is not coming at all!


Starworld is showing the same message which is displayed during bad weather(Ur settop boix is not receiving signal, wait till the weather clears, etc. etc) but weather is perfectly clear.


Rest all the channels r coming perfectly fine. I called their call centre thrice, 26th Dec, and did master reset & switching off of settop box as advised, but same situation.


Caller said he will arrange a technician visit which will be chargeable rs170, but I didn't agree as there is no issue /error at my end, else all channels would hav been affected.


Again called them 30th Dec & today also, still same reply, visit will b chargable, including if any parts etc are replaced. But am not agreeing. am forced to skip my fav shows.


They had also asked me to buy a annual maintenance/service contract sometime in mid this year, which I had refused. Settop box is an electronic item, has anybody ever hear of an annual service contract for DVD player/TV/FM radio etc? this is just another way for them to fleece their customers. Last year they had raised the package charges mid-way through my annual subscription, which were later reversed after I raised a complaint.


In ads they still say for long term packages like one year, there will be no mid-term increase.


I had expected only **ethics** from the Tata group, but this company is just like the others, with a Motto - fleece customers anyway u can!


I hv raised my issue with their helpline, lets see what happens, but judging from other reviews here, .:-(


my package ends in June, I will definitely switch over to some other DTH service.
