I am writing this review to warn others about my terrible experience with Star Health Insurance. I had purchased their OPD insurance policy and paid the premium on 17th April 2025. It's now 13th May, and I have still not received my policy document.
Despite multiple follow-ups, all I received was the same excuse every day: Its in process. No timelines. No clarity. Just vague responses.
When I got frustrated after three weeks, I contacted my relationship manager Kunal, hoping for help. Instead of assisting me, he spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner. His exact words were, Mere paas itna time nahi hai main aapse baat karu. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism.
I also contacted:
Soumya(Claim Team) When I mentioned I had filed a complaint with IRDAI, she casually said Okay, no problem.
Muskan(Renewal Team) No help at all.
Akash Tomar(My previous relationship manager) Stopped responding to my calls.
Kunal(new RM) Extremely rude and disrespectful.
On top of this, I even sent an email to their CMD hoping someone from senior management would take responsibility but I received no response. Their customer support is useless, and none of their employees have made the slightest effort to help or even talk respectfully.
So now, Im stuck. They have neither issued my policy nor refunded my money. Im left with no option but to approach the Consumer Court.
This whole experience has been mentally exhausting. I strongly advise others to stay away from Star Health Insurance. Their attitude, lack of transparency, and poor customer service are just unacceptable.
Please do your research before trusting them with your hard-earned money.
