I had a very disappointing experience with Star Health Insurance.
My father was admitted at Neptune Hospital, New Delhi, from 18th March to 22nd March 2025. The total bill was ₹;93, 155. Star Health only approved ₹;59, 055 and rejected ₹;30, 000 citing no breakup despite the fact that:
Receipt No. 512 for ₹;30, 000 was submitted
A doctors letter explaining daily visit charges(₹;6, 000/day) was shared
A breakup invoice was also attached
All these documents clearly prove the legitimacy of the claim. Yet, the company continues to ignore them and closes the case without clear explanation. I filed complaints through email, PG Portal, National Consumer Helpline, and even the Insurance Ombudsman but Star Health has failed to provide a fair resolution.
This has caused unnecessary mental stress, financial burden, and complete loss of trust. Their customer service gives copy-paste responses and the claims department lacks transparency.
If you value peace of mind during medical emergencies, I strongly suggest thinking twice before choosing Star Health. I am still waiting for the balance claim and a fair explanation.
