I had booked the bus to and pro from Chennai to Kodaicanal via redbus. Bus operators are really worst and so is the bus quality.
Buses are sleeper coach but none of them are volvo, that they do not mention in the description.
Bus operator can understand only tamil and no other language. So it's very difficult to ask them where is the exact place for pick up and drop. They never try to call you and inform that they will arrive in so and so time, even though they are running late.
Bus stops in extremly poor and third class hotels in night for dinner. So please have food before get into the bus.
They stops the AC in hills and its extremely suffocated to seat in a bus when the AC is switched off.
Finally the bus stops only twice in 12 hours of for going to toilet. If you want to goto toilet in between or feeling ommitting during journey, the staff behaves extremly rudely.
Avoid the third class bus . Most of the time you will find the bus is empty till last date of journey.
